Hi, I have a practical question.
I want to build a wooden basket for my rear bike rack. The bike is a hardtail with front suspension. I want to add a doubled floor suspended with springs. The goal is indeed to protect the objects I will put in the rack from the vibrations and bumps while riding. In total, there should be 5 springs. One on each corner, one in the center. The springs are going to undergo only city roads. The maximum total weight in the basket will be 24 kg, including the doubled floor. The springs must not exceed 5 cm in height. What should be the characteristics of the ideal spring ?
