Cherry's FIRST Silent Tactile Switch! | Cherry MX Silent Clear

Cherry is one of the most recognisable names in the keyboard switch business, and the company revealed its first ever silent tactile switch back at Computex 2024. We managed to try out the new Cherry MX Silent Clear at the trade show, and we're quite impressed with it!

How are they being damped?

The cherry MX2A silent red can be a reference. They’re Gateron silent brown or zilent type of dampeners. Silicone at the top and bottom of the stem rails, although the dampener looks a little larger than those.
Such a design could be effective for silencing, as the Boba U4 and Cream Yellows have a similar placement, but the dampener for those is one large piece slotted in the rail. Expect some mushiness, unlike the Wuque silents. Lichicx raws are a nice compromise imo, not as quiet but hard.
