Glad to see Gerber step it up. I'd like to see an S 30V Strong-arm.
Now you’re talking, fantastic idea!👊🇦🇺🍺
Wouldn't that make it sketchy for chopping though?
If you ignore the Chinese stuff, gerber makes some good tools. Strong arm, 06 auto, gator series, etc. If they could just get rid of their Chinese stuff.
Full Terracraft video! Can't wait!
Coming soon, just shipped it off for and AZWELKE kydex sheath.
@@gideonstactical That's something that's missing on the product indeed. They could've made an option as a sheath like the Principle. Liking that one a lot! Nice and compact. I'm really curious about the Terracraft, but really tough to get in Europe.
About how long from order to received did it take?
Dang man, those looked like a perfectly good pair of sandals. I need to get that RUclips money. In all seriousness, I customized a fastball as well. While they have some of the best online customization abilities, I am not particularly happy with the fit an finish for the price. The lock up is around 85% and the liners are pretty rough looking around the edges. I do like that I have a unique knife that fits my mojo.
Weird, I am sorry mine is great fit and finish. You can ask them to send in for some maintenance.
@@gideonstactical I emailed them with pictures and they told me the knife "was within their tolerances" and that they wouldn't fix it.
That fast ball custom is really cool
I ordered a custom fastball and a custom shark belly a few weeks ago and it still hasn’t arrived how long did it take to get yours in???
My Gerber Fastball is my favorite folder. Great knife
It’s a good one for sure
I’ve been watching your vids for years, how in the hell was I not subscribed? Lol, fixed
I would really like to see this with micarta scales and that 20cv would be awesome too
Fastball looks alot like a divedend . I do like the custom on that fastball .
You should do a comparison between the Buck Sprint and Gerber Fastball
That looks amazing
I would love to see a face off between the StrongArm vs the SRK
Very Cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Darn! I was hoping to have a cool unique strong arm designed but the only option is to add an engraving 😬
Didn’t know they had a custom shop. Might have to make myself a Strongarm.
I thought about getting a custom fastball, but I've heard that about half of them come out with bad fit and finish (the customs, not the normal ones). So, I held off. I did get a normal fastball just recently though, and I'm pleasantly surprised at it. Smaller than I thought, but I like the knife.
Really nice .
Cool man. I always wanted to design a librachi style Chinese knife. As far as the terracrafter goes.. just pony up $15 more for the benchmade 162.
You customized it almost exactly like mine. I went with a cleaver blade and the compass on the blade
I need a sedulo in 20cv, a terracraft with ranger green and burnt orange handles..... maybe you can pass the word????
Are we able to send in our already purchased knives? I have a 06 auto that I'd like customized, or do they just do the knives you mentioned?
Not sure, you could email them
I’m wanting to trick out a Gerber strong arm but the strong arm only has laser etching .
I like that but I want a strong arm with a black knife with a coyote tan sheath Gerber won’t do that
Ordered a terracraft today tricked it out , I went with a topo on the blade plus a few more mods. Now I wait for 12/15 days before it ships. 😴
I customized a fast ball. It’s ok. The handle has worn color off. I got the fast ball last April or may. As covid happened. I don’t see the point of a cleaver
Ah-ha, the Terra-Principle
I'd love to see a Terracraft with CPM 20CV. It would be hard not to pick one up if they made that happen.
I’d do carbon fiber and cleaver in 20cv
anyone know how good the text engraving looks over the topo
Gerber reserve is just marketing. You can easily see the edge grind is uneven in their photo on their website (probably a result of a poor primary grind, but I can't see from the photos). A $150 fixed blade in 2020 your grinds better be perfect, there's a lot of great choices out there
Anyone have a blade length on the Terracraft? Doesn't specify on Gerber's site.
40-45
@@gaylordpantamime yeah I figured.
@@ck7629 ruclips.net/video/eR1ycEQsuvg/видео.html
I actually might have to buy one now that I can get it in g10.
just bought one with blue g10. thx for letting us know about this gt.
@@bsly137 I think I’ll follow your example, just received my Principle and like the ergonomics. Terracraft will be even better!👊🇦🇺🍺
@@bsly137 hey Tim, how does the blue G-10 look? How thick is the blade? Is it as good as it looks? Thanks for any info mate👊🇦🇺🍺
@@scottb.0185 Just got it today and I'm loving it. I'd say it might be the best value USA made folder on the market atm. The g10 feels good. Perfect centering. Good blade grinds and no blade play. I highly recommend getting one.
@@bsly137 sorry Tim, I’m talking about the fixed blade Terracraft knife.
such a shame they wont ship these overseas
Also would love to see the strong arm with a 5160 high carbon or 1095 high carbon why Gerber won’t custom make one
He just said over 4’ blade. I heard him say it! Lol i’m starting to get frustrated that every time I look up the specs for this blade, part of the specs are either missing or different. For the blade length for the terracraft, I’ve heard 4.1, 3.9, 4….. why is it so overwhelmingly common for people to just blurt things out without knowing what they’re talking about? I understand that people are going to make mistakes and be wrong about information from time to time but literally every other time I try to look up information about anything in this world half the people talking to me have no clue what they’re talking about but pretend as if they do and blurt out things that aren’t true. I love this channel and I have no idea if what he is saying is accurate. I’m just frustrated that it seems to be so difficult. That’s like the equivalent of me wanting to look up how tall basketball hoops in the NBA are…then a third of the results say 9 feet, a third 11 and a third 10. Just the fact that I feel completely unable to find an accurate source speaks volumes about society.
I just paid $265 for a custom terracraft. Not proud of it….but I know it’s gonna be a great knife. Lol
Hi. Update. I just got it in the mail and it is total garbage I upgraded the sheath and it’s totally cheap. The ferro rod holder doesn’t hold any of the rods I have. I got the rivets colored black and they still look metal
colored and the color is so pale and uneven from rivet to rivet. The grind was overwhelmingly uneven and one-sided. It just looks cheap too. The cheaper principle seems like a better product. Which I own. I’m just hoping I can get my money back at this point. I am so disappointed I thought this was going to be my best knife.
Some one has sold out to one sponsor.
Nope, look at the video from last week. Negative on the Gerber Gatormate. Don’t like it. Recently bought the gator line as a whole, and Just bought the Terracraft, and am about to post an update video on the Strongarm that is not super favorable to the recent price jump. Just so happens that Gerber is actually putting out some interesting and good USA 🇺🇸 made designs that I am interested in.
So you're now considering Gerber products instead of Benchmades lol?? Guess you should review Bear Grylls junk from Walmart now
I have always found the Chinese stuff to be very lacking from Gerber and have review tons over the years that have proved to be lacking....but in the last 5 years their USA made stuff had proved to be very good from the Autos, to the Strongarm, principle, terracraft and fastball.
They haven’t made a bear grylls product in almost a decade (last product 2013) and have discontinued almost all of them. Keep up bud
Look Aarons doing ANOTHER GERBER FAN BOY VIDEO!!! Come on dude get off the gerber train please.
Dislike
Gerber is the least relevant knife brand in 2020 - USA products included.
Have you heard of Schrade??
@@stephenbarone4053 Schrade has low quality materials and absolutely destroyed their best knife design and embarrassed the hell out of the designer. Just look i what they did to Chris Tanner and the Jess X. They went from a completely indestructible $70 knife to changing the blade steel from 1070 to 3cr13mov changed the blade grind from high saber to hollow and destroyed the design.
@@stephenbarone4053 Schrade is also irrelevant.
For something $200, you can’t beat a Chris Reeve knife. YMMV
@Eye of the Tiger i almost had the last run for $20 on clearance. I realized to late it was the original and it sold out.
If you make a statement like that. At least offer 4 of the most relevant USA made only brands. Ideally brands that out sell Gerber by 35% or greater. Have a more diverse product catalogue. Offer premium steels for at least $10 less than Gerber with better fit, finish and attention to detail. Offer a lifetime, 25 year or greater warranty. Can be purchased at a retail store locally across the USA regardless of region without the need to order online.
