Hi - I love your videos of these incredibly beautiful cats and kittens - but I’m not clicking the ‘Like’ button, this time, because I’ve realised (since viewing more footage and reading the comments) that Lulu really does need a different set-up for her family and herself whilst her kittens are so very young!
Surely, you could devise a safer, covered box, featuring higher sides, with dim lighting for reasons of privacy and peace?
Of course, we are all enjoying the privilege of watching Lulu’s latest babies as she feeds, protects, washes and loves them all - but, personally, I’d prefer to know that your wonderful ‘mother-cat’ would have exactly the home-environment she needs ( and wants…) in which to take care of those tiny, precious, beautiful, scraps of adorable feline life…in perfect peace!
Your ‘update’ footage could, meanwhile, focus upon those moments when Lulu might vacate the upgraded ‘birthing box’ between feeds, interacting with Leo and Latte - so, ‘your subscribers’ could well need to wait a while longer to view the ‘new-borns’ - until the kittens might be strong enough to start exploring beyond that new ‘safe-space’, (though still within ‘their’ room - but with the required ‘visibility’ for your filming and documenting purposes…)! 🤗🤞🍀🐈💚
What do you think of this suggestion? It would mean fewer video clips, overall - but a much less tense and anxious Lulu around the kittens’ meal-times, hopefully…!
It was concerning to me ( as shown in an earlier video clip) that Lulu was, clearly, unhappy with your ‘birthing box’, searching around the room, with one protesting kitten in her mouth, whilst attempting to find a more suitable space in which she could feel comfortable, together with her kittens, whilst lying down, feeding them all and, then, resting cosily, all wrapped up, together…😋!
She , eventually, chose that small yellow basket and, after extricating yet another lively, curious, kitten from the ‘too-wide and shallow’ birthing box, she remained there until both of those babies were sated ( but separately from their siblings who would not all have been able to fit in the chosen basket together…😱)!
I appreciate that it’d be too late to change that box in time to accommodate this particular litter - but, presumably, you are breeding Lulu’s kittens for eventual sale, so my suggestion ( the same as those of several others viewing your channel) would be in perfect time for the next one!
BTW; Your beautiful cats appear to be in perfect health - Well Done! However, I’d like to emphasise the point made by several of your subscribers, here - please allow Lulu to recover from the immense physical and psychological pressure associated with pregnancy and birth!
If it’s true that her last pregnancy was very recent, it would, certainly, be humane, caring and loving for you to ensure that she is protected from a third one - to give your wonderful cat a break from pregnancy for a year or so!
The alternative - to churn-out litter after litter - until your beloved Lulu’s body would begin to deteriorate, displaying, clearly, the signs and symptoms of ‘back to back’ pregnancies, over-use, premature ageing and ‘wear and tear’…😢😳🙀!
