Zion had 40 and people are genuinely blaming him for getting hurt instead of McCollum and Ingram who had a combined 20 on 8/27 shooting.
Ingram i can understand he was still playmaking a bit the more he played. As for CJ i have no idea why he’s even in the roster. He’s streaky, chokes in big moments, and no defense.
Mcollum 3's are not hitting. The blame on this game is on him.

Yall in here saying anything. Let’s start with, He has a good diet. He admitted he gains weight once injured because he’s not moving. He works out, he does various exercises for joints and ligament, unfortunately there’s not much you can do for things of that nature. Some ppl are prone to injury. Well why is the lane open? He’s a rhino that can jump and dribble. Who’s going to block his shots and risk fouling out? The lane isn’t just open because they letting him. Hes beating guys and everyone can’t just can challenge him at the rim and pick up fouls or just leave guys open being Zion is a very good passer.

I remember when he seriously injured himself for the first time in highschool. He or the team rushed him back. He played so tentatively on that leg. I thought to myself, why would anyone let him jeppradize himself for a higshchool sport knowing he would be playing for millions in a few years. Its unfortunate, he hasnt been able to shake the injury bug ever since. I feel bad for the guy. I played through injuries in highschool to appease my coaches and fans. By age 26 my body was in shambles. Physically, I was a shadow of myself. Mentally, i suffered an identity crisis. My whole life, i was always big, fast and strong. Health and excercising was what i identified myself with. I forsaw and see the challenges zion faces. He needs to get healthy and change his playing style. Even though he has generational talent, the talent is slowy eating away at his body.

He's needed to lose 70lbs for the last few years and either he or his team just aren't willing to get it done. No amount of training and rest is going to keep a body of that weight running and jumping injury free from those heights without further weight-loss, the torques and forces on the ligaments and tendons are too much.

Guessing it was an Achilles tear. Cant really see it popping or the mechanism of injury but the way he responded is a pretty good clue. He may have felt it/heard it and knew exactly what it was. Also explains the immediate exit to the locker room from the staff. With this injury, you wouldn't necessarily walk with a pronounced limp. (Although it's difficult w Zion because his normal gait is a limp.). I'm just a PT so we'll wait to see......
