I have also ordered this year's military-grade protective case. It indeed has the problem with the sides. But the good thing is their customer service is amazing! I have contacted their team, and they replied really quick that they are working on improving the design and will send me a new one. Always love PITAKA.
Add a camera control button and this case is perfect. I’ve been using Pitaka cases as daily drivers since the 13 and have always complained that the full coverage cases have had too big of a lip, I returned last years 15 pro case for that reason, that said, I use liquid screen protectors on my phones and watch. I upgrade every year with the pros and every couple years with my watch and have been using liquid screen protectors on both since 2019. All good! No scratches. I only drop my phone once or twice a year so that probably helps but I drill my watch face on door knobs all the time. I have only had this case a couple of days but like I said, it’s almost perfect.
It has a ton of flaws. Horrible quality control. As of right now there’s no way I can recommend this case. I hear they’re fixing all the issues though so we will see when the new one gets here.
I bought the Sunset Military-Grade case, and although it's gorgeous and I love how it feels in my hand, the lackluster protection makes me unable to use it out of fear of dropping my phone. I reached out to PITAKA a few days ago regarding this and they told me that they're currently making an updated version of this case and that they're going to send one to me for free once it's ready, which at the time I was talking to them was expected to be on the 16th (meaning tomorrow). It'll probably arrive sometime around the end of the month if everything goes as planned, and I'm hoping the improvements are good enough so that I can actually use this case without worrying about my phone.
@@Brians_tech Yeah, the misaligned cutouts and whatnot give off the impression of a $8 case rather than the $80 case it actually is. I'm at least glad that they're making things right by sending the revised version free of charge. I was honestly expecting to get a discount at best.
" lackluster protection" do you mean that only to the screen lips issue? btw I sent them an email aswell and today they've answered that the upgraded version should be shipping from october 25.
@@slashzrPWN Yeah, that's my only complaint in terms of protection; everything else is as expected. This is a slim case, so it'll obviously never be as protective as a bigger one with more padding, but the screen protector jutting out above the lips of the case is a big no-no so I'm gonna have to stick with another case for now until I get my updated PITAKA case
I have the 15 pro max MagEz Pro 4, the left side isnt fitting well. You can see the metal sides of the phone while the right are perfectly hidden. They did admitted they had issues with the mold they used so they are sending me an improved version on the coming weeks. Hopefully its better.
I have been using PITAKA for over 5 years. Really like the pro case for iPhone 15 series last year. I have purchased PITAKA's tactile woven case this year and the texture is as good as usual. Although there are many other options, but PITAKA is indeed the leading company in the industry. I was going to get a military-grade protective case, but the page keeps showing that it will be in stock at the end of the month, so I'm going to get their upgraded version at the end of the month.
I’ve been emailing pitaka for weeks they won’t reply. I almost bought the case and it’s still in my cart but I can’t pull the trigger due to this issue. My 16 pro max has been in the sealed box for a week 😭 . I’m still using a 14 pro max with shellrus sapphire screen protector and a pitaka armor case and it’s so amazing that I didn’t want to give it up. But now I’m stuck .. fbe mous case is like a child’s iPad protector too thick and kiddish looking
Apparently Pitaka fixed the issues and we’ll see how it is. Use that phone though! Try the phone rebel air case. It’s so good this year. Also either the sheath or synthesis.
@ they finally replied ! The new version with a slight raised edge for screen protectors is shipping mid November ! I ordered a benks in the meantime ! 👍🏼👍🏼

I have both Pitaka Armor pro and Benks Armor Pro Aurora for my 16 Pro and must honestly say, the Benks is way better. Quality is likely the same but the cuts for Benks is way better. The camera cutouts from Benks is well centered while Pitaka not. Benks has better lip that protects the screen with Tempered glass on while Pitaka doesn‘t. The buttons are both tactile but Benks has better feel like actual buttons. The rubber around the charging port and camera cutout from Benks is more sturdy while Pitaka has softer and could potentially tear sooner. However, the camera frame from Benks wobbles or it‘s just mine and it is annoying when I shake it that makes loose noise. If I were to choose, I am for Benks and it‘s almost half the price cheaper than the Pitaka.
Whaaaaaat! I had this case for the 13 pro max back when the MagSafe was the strongest in the game, and I remember it having amazing lay on the table. This case just seems to keep getting worse and worse since its glory days
I dropped my 16 pro max, less than a foot while getting out of my car. It landed towards the bottom right away from the screen and yet the screen protector cracked. Doesn't seem very protective at all! Sent my feedback to Pitaka this morning. We'll see what they say. I went back to an Apple Silicon case while I reevaluate options.

Thanks for the review. Crazy, the weight is more or less the same as the Apple Silicon Case (currently my favorit case). I don´t like cases without camera control button, for me it feels wrong in the hand with the cut. @Brian, maybe you can create a overview/table in weight and tickness to have better overview to find the prefered case.
oh man pitaka seems to have also dropped the ball on this. i still have the magez pro 4 on my iphone 15 pro the one with the blue/ black variation which is great. i have it for a month now and it turned out to have enough grip.
Disagree. I think pitaka is still a premium case and I like it for the 16 pro max. People are so upset about lack of a camera button. 😂. I don’t get why people’s feelings are hurt that they don’t get a button. Cutouts are fine 😂

There’s still great cases without camera control buttons. Whether they update them later or not, there are better cases on the market right now without the camera control button than ones with it.
@@Brians_tech I think it’s good to wait until some good case companies incorporate camera control button. In the meantime we can use maybe spigen or apples own. What do you think?

Yep, no protection on this case. Apparently they are releasing an updated version of it that should address the issues. So we will see.

You should review the Lonli 2.0 in Aramid Fiber. It also comes in leather or wood, puts Pitaka and Mous to shame for $20…!

It doesn’t provide one of the most fundamental protections for the phone which is the screen. There’s no screen lip. But to each their own I guess.
