I first saw this scene in 1988 when i fist saw Scotch and Wry. I was on holiday in Scotland stopping with my Auntie and Uncles. I laughed so much I fell of the settee in hysterics.
When confronted with the same situation in Scotland ,especially in modern times , l always say " No l'm Irish ! " . That always stuns them and leaves them dumfounded !

I don't know who Hugh Mcorquadale was, but my Gramps' name was Hugh Mcorquadale Young. I never noticed that before.
