So this interview with KG was only 7 months after her sisters death? And shes giggling. In all of the videos I have seen, you dont see any tears shed by anyone. You see gratitude for the murders and what theyve done for everyone. This is nuts!

Why is she giggling so much when she mentions The Shack??? Like an extended creepy giggle and HUGE smile on her face that continues through the interview. Her baby voice is also something I cannot get over.

Think about this. Firefighter Capistrano was blocking access to where the girls were found the next day. Capistrano also accompanied Mike Patty on the alleged 40 mile canoe excursion down the creek. Capistrano was on the Flora fire. Steve Wilbur, Kelsi’s alibi is also a firefighter. Too many coincidences to believe any of them.

When I lost my sister unexpectedly for health reasons, I still can't discuss it without getting a little emotional. Hate to think how I would be if she had been brutally murdered . I loved my sister and she was my back up and support system so thats how I react. If you are mentally disturbed and detached like this author, your reactions would be different, "off". I'm curious exactly what he went through that deprived him of love, affection and affirmation. Children are deeply harmed by parents who reject them or give them up, i.e. Kelsi's mother.
I was super emotional when I lost my sister, but, everyone is different so, idk how to even answer your question other than it being a few years now so may not had been as hard for her as it was when it happened. When they weee murdered”. She had time to grieve & watch the movie called, “The Shack”, that she was referring to which is about God belong him live life forgiving the killer of his daughter”. I think that maybe that movie had helped her forgive the killer of her sister & sister’s friend.
I find it so unnecessary and unnerving how she giggles when speaking of the shack!! That’s not normal behavior!!! She knows exactly what happened to those girls!
This is one of my favorite performances from her. She claims to see it twice but then commented about her thoughts on the THIRD TIME and then to do a "deeper dive" reads the book as well! But clearly states that she loved it so much she "watched it TWICE"🙄😒🐍

The shack is not an easy read or movie to watch. Ive tried several times with both and couldn’t get past the weird beginning that gave no indication anything was getting better. Good luck with it.

I suddenly remembered starting it awhile ago cuz we love Octavia Spencer. I’m going to have to think about any connection to Kelsi’s interest in it. I’m religious but not in an Abrahamic tradition. I’m not familiar with many of the references.

Makes you wonder, doesn’t it? When in the history of true crime have you ever heard of a superintendent of the state police being BFF’s with a victims family member? Giving personal interviews on RUclips? Like never lol. He’s doing his *job* He’s letting Kelsi dig her own grave, so to speak. Just keep her talking. She’ll run out of lies eventually, or will start forgetting which lies she’s already told. She’s already started doing the latter, hence all the inconsistencies.

DC definitely WANTS KG to be talking... because the more she does so, the more inconsistencies they'll have to use in a court of law.
@@psalm9169 Good question. Of course, we won't know the truth of what happened until LE makes arrests and there's a trial.
But IF KG was involved and actually committed the murders... I think that would indicate some pretty significant psychopathology. Maybe those who commit these murders don't worry at all and love seeing all the attention the case is getting???
And if it's a serial killer (not necessarily KG) and the Evansdale case is related, then the killer is probably getting major enjoyment watching all the speculation and attention. I think they take pride in their "work", sadly.
All I know is that I pray that there can be arrests soon and convictions and justice.
@@buffalokay don’t forget-Jerry Holeman left state for a few months in 2017 to attend FBI seminars and Kim Riley had surgery and several months off for recuperation. Imo Doug stepped in because he knows KG is a murderer and he hoped the family would reveal info.

To me, it is interesting that Kelsi does not mention how hard this has been on her Mother and Father. I don't understand that. Where is her compassion for them? Does she ever mention Anna or Abby's family at all, anywhere?
She wants it to all go away. But that's not happening.
It is all about her. She rarely mention’s a family member. I see & hear more compassion coming from the public than from her, and others 🤷♀️

She’s as cold as ice. I’ve never seen her shed a tear. She’s a cold blooded killer even if she didn’t do it. She’s a sociopath and lacks empathy. I always think of poor Anna. She would have never let Abby go. She wasn’t allowed there. There’s tension between the families. Kelsi can’t hide her guilt. She wears it. She talks about the killer like she’s ok with him or her. It makes me sick.
Here's what is concerning to me:
James Renner asks "“When they get this guy…what do you want… what do you want to happen to him at this point?” KG stops a minute to think, looks up to the right (accessing/recalling memories), and a lightbulb moment comes to KG and she asks Renner "Have you seen 'The Shack'?"
Keep in mind that this KG/Renner interview was a mere 19 months after KG's sister was brutally murdered. No killer has been found yet. Justice has not been served yet.
Yet the theme for KG is about forgiveness.
I guess everyone processes things differently.
If my sister had been murdered (God forbid) and no killer had been caught...
I just don't think I would have "Go directly to jail; do not pass go, do not collect $200" monopoly game style and arrived at forgiveness for the perps.
Not yet, it would be too soon. And not until I even know who committed the murders!
Just my opinion.
But KG told DC that she was going to tell the killer how much ...she doesn't like him......IMO....she comes off as aloof like, or indifferent about the actual crime ; the murders. Almost like shes NOT interested. Not in how, who or why. If you turned the sound off in that DC interview, you could bet that KG was talking about something wonderful and positive. She looks very happy and content having those discussions in the JR and DC vids. Funny thing for me tho, is she seems SO emotionally flat ( just watching &listening to her ) other than big smiles ( that don't always reach the eyes ) Im surprised she laughed and giggled like that.; maybe it was the irony of the question.....and her knowledge. .......haha...your asking ME ?

It was worth mentioning The Shack if the only person it affected was you, Kelsi. I always thought Carter was over emotional and a quack for his in depth reference to the film until I realized Kelsi mentioned it first.

At the very beginning of the interview, Carter tells her about how many agencies are involved. Kelsis lip quivers, she looks like she wants to cry she’s so shocked. There also a bit where Carter looks at the camera (at the police obviously watching as it was live) and kind of mouths/looks like ‘oh my fucking god!’

@@katyg3873 do you have a timestamp for that part of the interview, Katy, were KG quivers her lip? I pulled up the full interview but I'm not seeing that at the beginning of the interview (side note... GH's is sooooo stupid for leaving that full interview up on his channel!).
And yes! I've seen the other part you are talking about where DC is looking at the camera and clearly mouthing and showing his disgust.
I think another really, really telling part is DC's facial expressions after saying that he'd stand with KG when the killers are caught, at 4:32.

Cannot fathom why asking James Renner about The Shack is funny unless it's nerves yet KG appears relaxed in every other way. Wonder what Renner thinks of the case now.
KG goes from having seen the film twice to three times. Little she says ever holds fast yet no amount of scrutiny and criticism gets her to self-reflect. If anything the added details and recovered memories are becoming a regular pattern..
Everyone attempts analysis of Carter licking his lips and hand to face etc during interview with KG. Just watch his eyes instead. Laser sharp.

Hi, I’m Kelsi. I hope all of you noticed how helpful I’ve been since day one. Let me remind you of a few key points:
*I brought my alibi to the police department when we first reported the girls missing. No one knew there had been a crime 😂 but I came prepared.
*I am the one that discovered the SC images.
*I am the one that just happened to be at the right spot to ID Lib’s shoe
*I am the one that despite being completely overwrought with grief was able to call Bre’s dad to check on Grampa Brad. I set aside my devastation to help him. (Chase’s dad attended to him, I specifically called for Scott to come)
*I am the one that noticed disturbed ground
*I am the one that would know if the killer left a note at the memorial, I told DTH I’d recognize his writing.
*I am the one that has tirelessly advocated for five years.
And do not forget
*I am the one that provided a ride to the trail and sweatshirts.
Now I must live my extraordinary life with all this cool stuff going on, cool things I have because of Lib’ and that other girl. Abby, yes Abby. I didn’t know her well despite reports she was Lib’s bestie.

@@Hopeandpeaceinjesus in DTH standing near the site of the memorial Kelsi picked up a handwritten poem, the reporter asked her what it was, who it was from, etc. she said if the killer left it she’d recognize his writing. Idk if she meant style or penmanship.

5:46….very very telling. Carter lets his disgust slip through here. It looks like someone to the left of him nudged him because they saw it too., probably an investigator. Both of them look that way immediately after. 6:35 seems genuine though. My opinion only, I think Kelsey holds the key to who did this, and Carter knows it. Not saying she is guilty, but she knows more and is protecting someone.
there is so much that has to do with Kelsi.. she was definitely the last one to see them alive.. she was also talking to the Anthony Shots profile, pregnancy rumors about Libby and the fact Libby seemed to have more damage done during the murders all seem not to be coincidence

Doug Carters body language is so intense here, he is 100% convinced that she is involved in this case.

Ya know, I lost my twin brother. The 1st time I watched The Shack & im not one 2 cry at movies, I balled my eyes out. This year will be the 10th year. I to lost my brother. I send my condolences to you. He was both my First friend and Best Friend. I would never laugh and smile speaking of his death. Thankfully I released his ashes on his Birthday this year and as I drove to our favorite childhood spot to release them I said “ well Fat Boy I’m about to release your ashes and as if he was right there sitting beside me I heard him say “ Thank God “ As if my guilt ( him not getting a funeral & me allowing other family members to get in my ear and I wasn’t so nice to him before he died sadly 😢) and sadness were holding him down! No no never laughter & that girl is off!

I’ve seen her like some foul comments about Gaylin on Facebook. Saying the cases are different because in the Flora case, the family refused to talk to police and are the main suspect (which is NOT true) and that’s why the cases are different… 🤨
The shack: Mack killed his abusive father when he was 13. Poisoned him. This was my theory of why the girls showed 'no signs of a struggle'.

I can not force myself to read the book, watch the movie so I guess I will never know the significance to any of that as it relates to this case. But you are right, there doesn’t appear to be much of anything enjoyable about any of it. Very dark all of it.
@@inharmsway1965 basically a dad and his two young kids con on a camping trip to the forest. One of his kids starts to drown in a lake. He jumps in to save him. By the time he’s got him safely out of the water, his little girl back on land has disappeared. They find her later raped and murdered in a cabin in the woods. The rest of the story is h the dads anger/guilt etc. he (tries?) to kill himself and goes to heaven to meet god, (a black woman) who tells him to forgive the killer and he’ll be reborn. It’s not exactly a box office smash lol. There’s nothing remotely funny about any of it. It’s actually just grim.
And yet she watched it *twice* and was giggling so hard she could barely speak. Who acts like this when their sister was murdered and they're referencing a movie about a brutal killing and a man's spiritual journey to forgiveness. And her babbling about forgiveness was nearly incoherent. As if she couldn't make up her own mind what she was talking about. Very strange.

You’re being generous. I believe it’s much higher than that. Some 94% (maybe 95%) of child murders between the ages of 12-17 are committed by a close family member. I say this all the time, but people don’t like to even consider that the family was involved. If they’d just use their brains, Doug Carter has given us plenty of clues that point directly to who did this.

Let me offer a different way of seeing this. She’s young now. Imagine how young she was 5 years ago. While the world could turn the tv off and go about their lives- that tragedy became her life and shes had no choice but to figure out how to forge her own identity from it. These family’s have not even begun to be able to heal and move beyond this because the person responsible for doing this still hasn’t been brought to justice.
Can you imagine the fear you might have knowing that the person that murdered your big sister is still out there?
How do you process those emotions?
I read The Shack for the first time in 2010 or so. I was caring for a disabled client for the night and had nothing to entertain my mind. Among the library books my client had brought home from the library was this book. I read it cover to cover that night.
I still, to this day, have never read a book that had such a profound impact on me as this has.
This book gave her something no one else could have ever given her. This book offered her a way of understanding that freed her. It gave her permission to smile again without feeling guilty, This book gave her a way of looking at this tragedy in such a way that made forgiveness possible. Forgiveness is true freedom. And if you can’t understand how one could possibly forgive such a horrific act- well then you should read the book before you judge her.
To see that little girl smile in SPITE of this tragedy- can one really deny the power of this book?
In the years since I read this book I still buy it on the used bookshelves. I can’t pass it up. Then I give it away.
This book is a gift and hearing that little girl smile/giggle…understanding that there was a time in her life that smiles/laughs where so far out of her reach…. you made it through the darkest days babygirl. You smile, laugh, and enjoy this life and do it with all the conviction in your soul. Because every time you do- you’re doing it for your sister as well.
It’s so obvious that that KG is personally asking these questions and that DC knows. It seems like they may be trying to investigate a case that can be prosecuted correctly AND they’re not rushing, like there is not threat to the other citizens of Delphi. They know what this is.

I have a twin sister. We were on a swim team from ages 7-18 - both captains of our HS team lol 😅 jealousy and competition was a very big issue between us. Swimming is mostly individual sport and your times are everything - it’s very easy to compare them to others. Like Libby, my sister and I both swam 500 free - that’s how I know she was a tough one 💔

I think kelsi was possibly talking to A_S but didn't dare admit that she was 'cheating' and then as time went on she left it so long that she could never admit to it. When we were teens in the early 80s we used to sneak on a CB radio (Im in the UK and there was a CB craze where older bothers had them in their bedroom) and we would set up our friends to meet grown ass men and we used to hide and watch from the bushes and think it was hilarious when some ugly fat dude was sat there waiting, one time we were shouting and teasing him from behind the trees where we were hiding. Another time the guy was OK so we dared our 14 year old friend to go meet him and she did while we were all cracking up laughing.(he was about 19) This makes me cringe now to think of the danger but I promise that's what we did 🤷🏻♀️ Silly little girls that were just bored
Kelsi was definitely talking to Anthony Shots prior to murder and she even says she messaged him after the murder and asked if she had heard what happened to Libby and Abby and asked if he had seen her and he supposedly said he was supposed to meet up with her on 13th but she didn't show up. I'll find the video with all that in it and comment it back here.. and was Kelsi into forensics before the murders and that's how she knew what to do for no dna to be usable BUT I know libby did somehow have Kelsi dna on her but they dismissed that as being from the car ride there. Kelsi was helping them get catfished at the very least which makes her partially liable
