I have the digital. I love the look of the analog but I love the capability of the digital. Plus, everyone always loves to look at the digital and admire it.
Was thinking analog speedometer with a digital number in the center of it same for tachometer that'd sound like the right balance but keeping a mini screen in the center, the digital display looks a bit laggy anyway plus another thing that could stop working
Definitely Analog, original, simple, and authentic, I mean this is a Muscle Car I like to keep it that way, watching the actual physical needles shoot up upon acceleration/ downshift is half the fun imo.
The nice thing about the analog set is One can bring up all the values, in a digital format, of all the gauge choices, to instantly read on the center display.
Test drove a 19 GTCS 6 speed with the digital cluster. I didn’t really pay attention to it which surprised me as it is a feature I really wanted. Also they seemed to dim under heavy sunlight and was hard to see. The colors didn’t pop as much as I’d like either. Test drove a 19 GTCS automatic with the analog ones. I really liked how vibrant it was even in sunlight and later as the sun went down and the mycolor lights took over it wowed me. The RPMs line was neon green and the rest of the gauges were a neon red it stood out to me so much I thought wow the gauges look like a watermelon 🍉 I’m honestly thinking I will go with the analog. It has that old school vibe but also the mycolor lights really pop
This video was a big help when ordering mine. I love the digital dash look but my eyes are very easily distracted by flashing lights so I ordered the analog gauges. Too bad, they look really cool.
Man thank you for the in-depth video, the analog is very clean, but that digital may be the sole reason I get a mustang, the start up animation and navigation seems so fucking dope man …
I have Analog as that’s what my 20 GT Premium came with it off the Lot , but being Old School that would be my choice anyway . BTW Did I say it’s the Nuts , With either Dash !
Got a 2022 GT Premium 401A build with the analog dash cluster, and God damn almighty am I happier than a pig in shit. She had 1 mile on the dash right off the truck, built in November of 2022 Traded in my FBO 2014 Challenger SRT M6 in for it and what a noticeable drive experience all the way around. Am so enthralled with how the stock exhaust sounds and being able to switch the exhaust mode and sound from sport+ to drag on the fly is so f'n cool!
Thank you for the comparison, Steeda! Analog fan here, but what surprised me is when I got into my 2018 Base GT/PP1 and realized you can’t change the dash colors even though my 2006 Base GT had this feature. Way to step it up, Ford 😡
I’m still trying to decide? For the past 17 years I’ve had some fun old school muscle cars…..getting older and I think modern muscle is a better option. I’m looking at a GT premium convertible with 10 speed automatic and defiantly the active exhaust. I like bells/whittles so I do like the looks of the digital dash and the features. I also like the old school look of the analog gauges, reminds me of the rally gage cluster option on the early generation Mustang. My aggressive driving will be limited to riding along the beach with my wife. After looking at some modern muscle cars, the comfort, room and drive abilities of the Mustang GT is the best fit for me. I do wish there were more interior color options, being old school I like the top and interior to match. That pretty much dictates black. Thanks for the video.
Anyone know if it's possible to adjust the MagneRide setting independently from drive mode? For example... Magnaride=normal Tune mode=track Exhaust=sport
It's odd that the analog display gets an oil temp reading and my digital display doesn't... Ford. Also is the digital car a PP? I don't have anything for axle temp.
Some of the data points definitely change based on the vehicle they're on, and how they're equipped. The digital cluster car is a PP1 car, so it does have the sensor for the rear axle temperature. Even some early 2018 GT PP1 cars didn't have this sensor, either. Hope this helps! -Chris
This video is brilliant it looks so easy to setup what you need.but I can’t do it i will take my 19 Mustang GT to Ford place. Thank you. Nick from Sydney Australia
The digital cluster is the one thing my 2019 GT Premium did not come with that I really wanted. I may upgrade at some point, but have to save up for it first, that thing is pricey haha
@@desiree2693 I also hate how you can’t combine performance pack and black out package, I went with black out premium with everything but digital and active exhaust.
@@a5oh410 it seems they could have done a lot better with options and standard equipment. My biggest pet peeve right now is the fact that they didn't put LEDs everywhere, just certain places. Headlights, taillights are LED but not the reverse light? And the interior lighting, they put an LED in the trunk, which is an upgrade from the 15-17, but left all the others as incandescent and made it practically impossible to get the map light assembly down to swap those bulbs.
@@desiree2693 yea that’s definitely something I agree with although can be overlooked and ignored but you think of it like you did it with 50% of the car why not do it entirely. Only then can they justify damn 50k mustang GT
I just ordered my GT premium PP 401A and thinking about night time driving with say a choice of purple lit up in the digital dash plus same colour on the gauge pack in the center of the dash was enough for me to decide to get it. Only living once
The Digital Gauge Cluster? By definition, yes. But we haven't seen anyone successfully make the swap due to the higher rev limiter on the GT350 and these gauges are designed to only go to 8,000 RPM. Hope this helps! -Chris
If you have a manual transmission, everything else still acts accordingly except the transmission. Throttle response is still adjusted depending on mode. But obviously shift points are not applicable since you're doing the shifting, not the computer. Hope this helps! -Chris
I have the digital. I love the look of the analog but I love the capability of the digital. Plus, everyone always loves to look at the digital and admire it.
Digital start up animation is the greatest. When that plays when I start the car I know I made the right choice.
Seeing this in the video may very well be the exact reason I get me a Mustang 😭
Analog for me. I’m just old school. I want analog with a touch of digital so the current analog design is the right balance for me.
No way Jose
You’re not old school. You’re just boring. If you were old school, then you’d buy a gen 1.
Was thinking analog speedometer with a digital number in the center of it same for tachometer that'd sound like the right balance but keeping a mini screen in the center, the digital display looks a bit laggy anyway plus another thing that could stop working

When u had the Digital to a base model with everything work? I’m thinking of ordering it
One question I have the gt fastback from 16 and I don't have the dragon trip mode and it was to know if I can install that mode to the car
Is there a way to tell with the analog clusters what gear your in a 10 speed

Can I start my 2023 mustang GT with my mode setup to sport with the active exhaust set to track?
Unfortunately startup is limited to normal mode with the exhaust being normal or quiet start if you have that set up
@steedaautosports Thank you for the reply. I noticed some days the start-up is louder than others, lol.
Very helpful, thank you!
Can you swap analog gauges for a digital gauge on a Shelby GT350?
Not from what we've seen, unfortunately. -Chris
Yes
Can you put maps on the digital ?
No, BMW, AUDI, etc
