Congratulations on the 10k membership Pat. Your videos have been a great source of entertainment for me throughout the year. Have a great Christmas and New year. 😊😊
Not only do I want to jump on the 10K congratulations bandwagon (well done dude, you really deserve it!!), but I also want to thank you for the great content. I've been building my first 6-string (I've made a few 3-string cigar box gittys before) on and off all year, but it has taken me forever as I'm also doing a full on house renovation so I've had to take long hiatuses to get bits done on the gaff. But I've taken a renovation break for the festive period and, really weirdly I have somehow synched with your series - honestly, I had a beautiful custom decal arrive in the post this morning, and I put the final coat of finish on the body. I am planning to wire in the pickups and jack and just try to get everything assembled tomorrow, so this vid could not have been timed better for me!!!! Thank you so much for the teaching and the inspiration, it's been very helpful to a complete beginner
Well I was gonna say that if I could I would sub twice. But you're already there! That's amazing! I'm very happy for you Patrick. Your hard work has paid off. I have use that Wilkinson bridge on several guitars. The compensated saddles work great.
Congratulations on passing your subscriber goal. I really appreciate your clarity in describing the what and the why of your building process. I built my first tele from scratch a couple of years ago and this series will make my next Tele’s better. Thanks to your earlier series I’m also very keen to build a 335. I do however have one question that I hope you can help me with. I’m curious on your thoughts and experiences with shielding. I think I went overboard on my tele shielding and you don’t seem to make use of it, other than shielding wires and careful grounding. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on this topic? Thanks again for another informative and inspiring series.
This is a pet peeve of mine, but when you said, "if you want to coil tap" (with the humbucker), did you mean "coil split," or does this humbucker actually "tap"?
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams Ok, I tough so too, but some are not. All my Teles have a separate ground wiring running to one of the screws holding the bridge in place. Let’s see, it looks great. Tonerider PU’s ?

I think on tone rider humbuckers the green wire goes to ground and the red is hot. You may want to check your instructions from the box.
Congrats on 10,000 subs. Well deserved. Merry Christmas. May I ask why Connor?
Thank you, it's my name :)
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams Really?. And here is me thinking it was Pat for some reason. Duh!
This is a pet peeve of mine, but when you said, "if you want to coil tap" (with the humbucker), did you mean "coil split," or does this humbucker actually "tap"?
I think you forgot a separate ground wire to the metal part of the bridge, you will get hum without it.
The bridge is grounded through the base plate of the pickup on a tele.

I’m guessing that the bridge also grounds through the common wire as well ? Although they usually have an added ground from the factory
🎅
Congrats on 10K!
