Thanks for watching, everybody. Let me know your thoughts on DJI's 'Return to Home' function and how it can be improved. Also, let me know if there are any other things you'd like to see a video on.

I am going to interject something that I have found to have a pretty solid correlation when it comes to RTH accuracy and it may be that it is only with the Mini 4 Pro or any of the later DJI drones with the latest belly cameras.
When you use the auto takeoff, the drone will ascend to around one meter (3 ft) and hover. The tip is to then take it straight up to right around 7m (20ft) and let it hover for around five seconds. Word has it that the belly camera then gets a wider angle (visual fix) on the landing spot and remembers it.
I have found the accuracy on the RTH landing to be phenomenal when using this technique. So much so that I have almost gotten to the point of hitting the RTH button and then start concentrating on something else like getting the gear ready to move so that all I have to do is put the drone away when it lands and drive away. It is not 100% however, there are times (once in a while) where the drone may try to land a couple of feet off from the landing pad and I have not gotten a fix on a solid correlation as to why and when that happens. I have a couple of theories with one being possible magnetic interference and the other possibly being a need for a compass or even possibly an IMU calibration. In both those cases, I have no real idea of how the drone can get out of calibration in either instance so I have no good feel for that second theory (compass/IMU related).
Lastly, a high contrast landing pad is definitely a factor. The landing spot needs to be clearly discernable by the drone's belly camera. If there is any homogeneity to the general landing area, the drone's RTH accuracy is adversely affected by that.
Try it....let it auto takeoff to the 3ft hover and then straight up to 20ft and hover for five seconds.

I will definitely give this a try. Thanks for your comment! Makes a lot of sense.
