  • St George's Church was built between 1802 and 1813 for the Protestant community in the north inner city. Its architect was Francis Johnston, the man who also built the GPO in O'Connell Street. St George's has been closed as a church for a long time and once a theatre group worked from there.

The church is now an office building. The interior conversion whilst a bit of a monstrosity, is nevertheless reversible and this fine building and plaster-work is saved. The Victorian wooden pulpit was sawn up to decorate a pub: Thomas Reads on Parliament street.

hopefully you found out by now, but yes indeed they do. the Anglican church regularly celebrates the feast days of saints and martyrs.
