Just got my Jones Solution today. Just set it up and saw your video it’s my first split board so Im stoked. Hiking meets snowboarding. Guys I think with COVID this is the year of the split board. Post more splitboard videos!!! Kevin I’ve modeled my quiver after your boards the GNU Headspace and Orca you rocked it last year they were great recommendations. I love those boards! So I’m following your lead now with the Solution too. If the Solution is a winner your recommendations are a triple hat trick! Thank You! Kevin and Chris keep your videos coming! Get TJ out there!
I got my first Splitboard too. The board store sold like 3x their normal amount and had sold 70% of stock by the end of May. Everyone was stocked for the BC but in the end a 115 day lockdown had us confined to a 5km radius of home and 1hr of exercise per day. 6 months till the return of Winter and counting the days.
Love watching all of your adventures! I am just now really getting into snowboarding myself I am on the East coast and seeing all of your adventures has really given me motivation to get out there and push myself! Also your tutorials have really helped
You guys are so lucky to snowboard! ski resorts are still closed in France, should have reopened a month ago... i’m affraid that we cannot ride this year again because of covid... ;-(
We just went over to the swiss side, Valee de joux had some great powder and for bigger resorts it was Villars Leysin with some dodgy curfew racing back in France haha.
It's more the awkwardness of skiing downhill on skins with your heels detatched. Even on ski touring evryone looks like it's their first day of pizza learning. Apart from some of the crazy dudes who learned on telemark skis...
I am 5’ 9” 180 lb, I am looking at a 154 and 156 cm 2021 Capita DOA. I want to improve my switch riding and learn 180’s and 360’s on jumps. Also I’ll add that I am athletic, lean, and wear a size 9 to 9.5 boot (9.5 in Vans boots). I also only get to ride about 6 days a year (Texan). Any advice?
I’m trying to look for the jacket too his link in the description does match the jacket in this video I really I want this jacket he has on it looks sick the closest one I found to this one was the volcom scorch
i've always wondered. how does split board compare to snow shoes when walking or hiking up the hill. It seems to me snow shoes could be more agile. But split board is a thing I have no experience on. If you would to travel through a snow packed uphill, which one would be faster or easier?
snow shoes are indeed more agile, but you would have to carry your board and i guess more work on the really deeper days, which is when splitboarding would shine in my view as it spreads the weight out
Oh could you please do a video of you trying skiing for a day? Jonathan buckhouse did it and it was hilarious so I’m sure if you did it it would be amazing too
@@mrmojohh9499 I guess it's really bad up in Canada too? It's super bad here in Colorado. We've got a super nasty persistent slab problem caused by a freaking foot of facets on almost all of our snowpack.
I agree with you if they were dropping into some of the steeper stuff of flute bowl, such as the main face. But from where they were riding, it seems like it was pretty low angle terrain.
@@AttackOrBlock keep in mind the GoPro effect. It was likely steeper than it seemed on camera. Not sure if it was above 30* but if it wasn't it wouldn't hurt for them to mention that.
@@rushthezeppelin totally, more avalanche awareness is definitely a good thing. Especially with more people getting into the backcountry this year. I know this area well though and it’s super low risk. Avalanche instructors actually take their students here for AST 1 courses. But I agree, the decision making process wouldn’t be a bad thing to include.

2020/21 solution major de-lam going on with mine keep an eye on your base de-laming right at the edge been out like 15 days or so
The way Chris says rope is music to my Canadian ears!

I did my first black cause of him
Please make a snow boarder tries to ski video 😂😂 I love doing both and seeing people attempt both.
Chris and his rope giving some hardcore boondock saint vibes. "Alright' get your stupid f**king rope then."
You could tell he was holding back the f bomb from the quote 😂
Love the Boondock Saints “rope” reference! 😂 classic!!
Its great seeing your pov after watching Chris's earlier.
Kev this season you're rockin' much more stylish gear than usual
So much work getting up there, but so worth the ride! 🏂

Great video as usual!
Looks like so much fun!!
Another great video🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 so jealous of u guy's 😝😝😝
Yeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!
it looks like you're a skier I love it
Chris constantly looks high, I don't know what he takes, but he takes a LOT of it!
He high on snowboarding vibes
what made you choose sparks over karakoram bindings?
Bought a splitboard last week and realized I hadn't skied in 15 years lmao. Gonna be fun for a while yet
Great stuff guys.
Cool vid, quick tip you'll conserve more energy if you don't lift your feet while in split mode. Slide and glide baby!
What the hell is this? The channel is called SNOWBORD pro camp. Not ski pro camp? I’m joking! This is dope! I dig new content 👌🏼
They tried to be a normal persons, not a snowboarders
Where's a good place to find people to ride with? If you go riding solo ?
What length solution would recommend for a ride who is 5'10, and 150lbs?
It looks so awkward when snowboarders ski😂
Ikr

Move to a better place xD
Do you need to take off the skins when "skiing" down? Or do you leave them on?
For short runs and on softer snow it's ok to leave them on.
Hello, thanks for showing the great video
Lov the vid kev 😊🏂😁
Dumb question... do you have to take the skins off every time you have to ski down hill?
Yep, you need to take camus off
@@NothingToSeek no, you're wrong xd
Hey, I gotta question u prolly won’t respond but... i wanted to buy crab grabs but idk if i should buy man hands or punch mitts. anyone got any ideas.
Punch mitts have been one of my favourite pairs the last few years!
@@SnowboardProCamp Hey thanks man. I appreciate that a lot!
I haven't touched skis in three seasons. After I got my snowboard I promised to never ski again!
I did the opposite lol
Wanna see a rider turn to skiier vid. Itd look FUNny hahahaha
Sick music
You ski better than you board ha! Hook Chris up with a jacket...poor guy wears the same stuff every day. 😉
Does anyone know which jacket he is wearing in this video ? The red and black one, its not Volcom
The volcom one

It is now “Ski Pro Camp

Running that neverwet?
Hey...can u ski with a split board
i can not explain how bad i need to have snow like this rn so i can go do this

Skinning is much faster and less tiring but needs some technique and the equipment is expensive.

@@jakanater7763 It's a terrible thing, isn't it?
I wouldn't be dropping at the same time if y'all are in unmitigated terrain. Both of y'all get buried and those BSPs are worth their weight in dirt.
Really though, especially with this seasons extremely high avi risks. This was a bit ignorant.

Stick to skiing and quit calling yourself a pro!
