I don't care about your real hair or your wigs. Your job is amazing. That's all we need. I love to see what you can do with any kind of hair. I don't understand the people who don't watch your videos because you shaved your hair. I shaved it too a few weeks ago. Everyone thought I had a disease or I'm crazy. I just want my real hair back. So I don't know. I still like the videos...
A few months ago I went to get a wolf cut and I have 2c-3a curl type and it was the BEST hair cut I had in my entire life. All girls with curly hair should try it because it looks stunning and with the curls it's not very hard to style it. Tip: if you try this (and only if you want to), you can go a little bit higher than shoulder length and it's going to look freaking amazing
I have the same curl type and I really love this hairstyle, but I’m not sure about the bangs… Do you recommend doing them? I don’t think I’ll be able to style them correctly.
I have 3a-b hair! And I did this along time ago but I did it on my own. It's the best hair decision I've ever had. I kept the length on mine and I definitely can style my hair less! Some good moisturizing serum and I was good for a week. I usually put it in a bun for bed but if I forget and I'm lucky I won't move too much in my sleep and it looks even better in the am. I separate my hair with my fingers when it starts to tangle btw.
@@candelarey5935 the bangs are really tricky but i think it's easier when they are a bit longer and "wispy" (just like Stella's) but if you're not sure to get them, this hair style looks as good without the bangs
@@candelarey5935 I know this comment was a year ago, but I cut my hair last night with the bangs and they are the star of the cut IMO. I was terrified but honestly I'm glad I did it. You just kinda have to trust the process. I ended up cutting them a tiny bit shorter after washing/drying. I feel like the back is a little long, but uhhh I don't know how to fix that 🥲 This was the first time I had ever cut my own hair and I LOVE it!
Stella you’ve been educating the girls!! I’m a curly girl and I’ve been cutting my own hair in the “wolf cut” way for 15 years (as have many other curly girls I know or follow). When this wolf cut craze kept coming out like “new wolf cut” I kept thinking: new? Lol This was super informative, as most of your videos are.
I want to do this sooooooo bad funny thing is I’m a former hairdresser and still nervous to do but I know my curls will love me for it I just have to get the courage to do it 🌻🌻🌻
Basically cutting in vertical sections will give you layers, if anyone was confused by why she did what she did. Horizontal sections would of made it look more blunt and heavy
So glad Stella decided to do this Wolf cut tutorial. I have seen so many videos on how to do this cut and I think Stella - as a professional hairstylist has the vest method and simple to apply by everyone. Thanks Stella 😘
I think this is my sign to finally get the wolf cut/ a shag. After shaving it over a year ago I do have grown out hair and developed a lot of curls... THIS looks so gooood. Gonna send that my hairdresser baby.
Ugh, I am actually thinking about growing out my pixie and wasn't sure about which style to try. My hair is not curly, just wavy but this video just tempts me to try a wolf cut myself... might be the perfect cut to bring out my natural texture. Thank you Stella, you're truly inspiring
Alternative title: How to Do the "Unicorn Haircut" Responsibly and Properly This blew my MIND, it's essentially what the "unicorn method" tries to achieve (which is the method I've used for YEARS), but in a way that will leave much cleaner and easier results. Thank you so much for this breakdown!!!!!
i love this. i have curly hair and wanted to redo my layers. this helped me so much. I also wear human hair wigs during the colder months as a protective style for my natural hair. love love love your videos
I have curly hair Type 3 and I cut/ get my hair cut completely dry. We go curl by curl and shape that way. I think that's best and what has always worked for my curl type.
She is right about wearing it straight though, it will be a bit uneven. In a blowout it doesn't really matter, as there is still a bit of wave on your ends but flat ironed it will be uneven
I have curly hair 3a-b and I purposely give myself a wolf cut. Have for the last 10 years (the emos were rocking the wolf cut for a few years before it was rediscovered) it's like a mullet/shag beautiful. This enhances my curls and I don't have to style it as often idk what does it exactly but the layers just let the hair lay right and the framing 😘👌 also I keep my length and it looks the same shape as straight hair.
Omg noooo. I just found your channel 😂 and I’ve managed to keep my hair 2 years doing nothing so it’s long and completely natural and healthy. Yup...that’s not gonna last for long now hahahah. Lovely content! ❤ P.S Fav hair color that I had - deep forest green
Literally was forced to grow my hair since I was in middle school so it's like down to my waist, my mum would strangle me if I did such haircut but yolo ig 🥲
Wolfcut looks good only if you have healthy hair. i had this hairstyle a few years ago and i hated it because split ends transforming head in a haystack( you have to cut this wolfcut again and again or cut just all your hair to grow it back(
As I’ve gotten older I learned to love my naturally curly hair. I got a wolf cut recently and curtain bangs added…framed my face beautifully and it’s easy to style
Well i did it, and cut it pretty much how she did, but forgot to account for my very curly hair. Looks a bit more hobbit than I was expecting, but apparently I wear hobbit well. Oh well hair grows back. And I expect it will look even better as it grows out.
We called it an over directed shag back in the 70s. Been doing this cut for clients for 50 years. Well done in theory but the ends need to be cleaned up a bit. Hard for experianced stylist even to do their own hair because we will always end up with one side slightly longer. Good to have another stylist just go over it.
I think about coloring my client split dye. You post a video on how bad it is. I give myself a wolf cut ( I have curly hairs and girl I STRUGGLED) here you are with a curly wolf cut. 😅
Thanks! This is cool for me since my hair is curly. Frizzier than your hair was in the beginning ㅠㅡㅠ yours still looked cute. Mine is more curly but still loved this video! I think I can mimic what you did but longer. If I cut the first part past the cheekbones it all should be a fair bit longer right? Everywhere I mean
Thank you so much for this video! My hair is identical to yours and I'm so ready for a change for 2024🎉...wish me luck! Going to get my scissors and hope it turns out just like yours ❤
My hair texture changed after I started taking meds for rheumatoid arthritis & it’s been a pain in the butt to relearn how to style it. This haircut looks doable for me! It helps that the wig is the same color, texture, and thickness of my actual hair 😂 I’ll update when I try it out!! 💖
Get a good leave in conditioner, curling cream or mouse! My hair is almost identical to this wig as well but I have a tighter curl pattern! These are like 2A-B curls and I’m a 3A-3C. I love the Aussie brand curl cream and mouse! Makes my hair look stunning with very little effort. Work in sections to really saturate each strand and start drying your hair in cotton clothes instead of towels!
Looks so nice and you look younger!!😊 Shame that in England i can't find a hairdresser that can do curly hair....☹ Unbelievable!!! If someone here knows someone in England can cut curly hair please let me know. ☹😊
I'm 72 and we used to call this a long shag. For those of you who cut hair on Seniors, this is an amazing cut on wavy/curly hair, to hide those thinning spots.I travel the guide to the interior as I keep mine at my shoulders, less weight. My curl has relaxed over the years to loose waves, but this still works. Every time I go to a salon.......I have to come home and fix it. My pic is a "summer" cut, it's long enough to put up now. This keeps little old ladies from getting the "helmet"🙃
The wig is beautiful, and as someone with curly hair I appreciate curly content. However, the stakes of watching a wig being cut are too low for me lol! I like the drama of seeing someone cut or dye their real hair. Real hair, real stakes. That’s just me craving chaos lol.
She typically works with her real hair. It's just that she currently has hair too short and/or straight (?), so the only way to show how to cut curly hair right now is with a curly wig. ^_^ I love her content
