  • Greetings LEGO® Fans! Today, Mark Joe and Daniel will be listing and discussing many different physical play features that have been used as gimmicks in sets throughout the years! These are usually accomplished by large very specific pieces that were used in small subthemes or a series.

Bionicle had alot of functions and gimmicky launchers. The Piraka had light up eyes and the Toa Inika had light up swords.

15:42 given how well the speedorz work, I gotta think that makes them a “good” gimmick , even if it wasn’t a _popular_ gimmick.
Also, those parts, while highly specialized, are really cool for texturing and interesting shapes.

Was surprised all of the sport sets gimmicks (soccer, basketball) were not mentioned.

I challenge you guys to actually go and launch those Chima rip cord speedorz across the floor and I bet you'll have fun. The ramps and junk that come with the sets aren't that great though.

Chima speedorz was really fun, they were really solid from start to finish.
Ninjago kinda lost its course, in recent year the new ones are pretty bad, they dont even spin right

I really love the show but I have some critical feedback about the audio. As I listen at work, I need to keep the volume up in order to hear the conversations. Occasionally the host/guest get excited or laugh hardily and it gets extremely LOUD!!!! O.O If you could work on leveling out the audio my ears would appreciate it! Thank you and keep up the good work!
