I'm a storage engineer at IBM. Most of the basic stuff we do is showcased in this video. Amazing to see that Robert Axelsen was able to compress a week-long training into 30 minutes!
In case anyone wants to skip to specific part of the video 0:50 - Speaker 1:50 - Introduction 4:26 - Unix 6:02 - Bash and common commands 7:55 - Man command 8:40 - Git & common commands 11:01 - Creating files and directories 13:44 - Navigate and find files 16:59 - Manipulating Files 22:16 - Connect to Server 24:26 - Process Management 26:14 - Nyancat 26:35 - More 26:57 - This talk 28:35 - Demo of commands
Honestly, does anybody use it? For simple cases bash for Windows/Cygwin are perfectly fine. With more complex, more demanding use cases WSL will most probably fail anyway, due to either lack of given native linux packages support and/or due to atrocious performance issues.
i typen "what to do when a linux program keeps crashing and telling me to run a --sync command line" into search and i fout this and i wasted 35 minites and didnt find anything about "--sync" cammand :(
This lecture is a pretty bad way to learn these commands, it's just a poorly structured info-dump. The linux crash course video on this channel is much better

What does the "/" key, symbol mean?
Please teach me the CLI, beginner to Mastery.
Also, API & Software Interfaces, if possible.
The Windows Subsystem for Linux has existed for a while now; why does cygwin get a mention in the beginning and that doesn't?
Honestly, does anybody use it? For simple cases bash for Windows/Cygwin are perfectly fine. With more complex, more demanding use cases WSL will most probably fail anyway, due to either lack of given native linux packages support and/or due to atrocious performance issues.

how i can creat a hidden folder /file ?
in Linux you can make files with ~$ mkdir .folder or ~$ touch .file .txt, just add a dot before the folder/file.

It means a lot to me.
Not beginner friendly... at all...
Pretty bad in the visuals department. Text is b&w in tiny ass font.

this white screen on the background makes the video impossible to watch.
