Didn’t have any rubbing alcohol so tried methylated spirit (denatured alcohol). Worked a treat so thank you for the tip :)

I got this skip craft marker on my desk because I was writing something with that marker and it went through the paper and on my desk so thank you so much I would give this 1m likes if I could 😅
Did the hand sanitizer have alcohol in it? Because some do and some don't
careful with the rubbing alchohol it can sometimes take paint, sealer, wax, or gloss off with the stain
Acetone and sandpaper. Nothing else comes close. Then re-finish it with oil and poly.
Did any of those remove the sealer ? Can anyone answer if they tried any of these methods
Was drawing on some really thin paper (didnt realise it at first) with the permanent marker. My table had a big black ink stain afterwards.. thanks for the solutions!! 💙

Hand Sanitizer main Ingredient is Isopropyl Alcohol SO, it's the same thing as the Isopropyl Alcohol you used earlier.
i really should have watched this video after accidentally putting permanent marker on my desk whilst drawing and then my mom came in and ummm ruined my desk by scrubbing it......

Toothpaste and scrubbing using an old toothbrush SAVES YOUR LIFE!
I tried some of the methods, and sadly they didn't work for me.
Hairspray and hand sanitizer work BECAUSE of the ALCOHOL in them. If you have alcohol, especially 91-99% go with that, if it doesn't work the other two probably won't either.
My sharpie bled through cause i sprayed it with peffume. Will never come out any suggestions

I use the toothpaste to get the marker of then I consume the toothpaste to get rid of the evidence.

are you sure it was permanent marker? Not Sharpie for sure. With your stain you could probably use just water and soap and it would come off.

Most permanent markers are alchohol based so unless there is any additional ingredient in there anything containing enough alchohol could potantially be used to remove it, like deodorant or vodka.
The hand sanitizer rubbed the polish off as well and left a stain :(
I tried 3 methods and nothing worked, waste of time.
