Looks a treat, m8... Exceptionally clean looking build. Nicely greebled up, too. Done just right, but not at all "overdone"... Everything looks as though it has a purpose, it isn't gratuitously "over-greebled.." Bravo!
I don't care for Star Wars anymore but you did a FANTASTIC JOB on this model. If I didn't know any better I would have thought that it was a Legit ILM Prop.
Brilliant work! Sadly, my channel focuses on practical FX but we haven’t shown any of our miniature work 😢. So nice you used the dark times in such a positive way! BEAUTIFUL!!!
Amazing ingenious scratch-building. Excellent clean work, plus the paint job is truly inspiring. Thanks for sharing in video format (I'm subbed, but also here from the RPF).
Incredible work! This randomly popped up on my feed and I didn't notice your username initially, but I recognize it from RPF. I've been working on my Hasbro Falcon conversion off and on over the last year. Almost ready for priming and basecoat.
Just, WOW! Such an amazing build. It looks like a filming model. I'm not just saying that. Your use of the PG kit parts as templates was great and keeps it absolutely true to the universe and it really looks like it belongs. Well, it does have the best source material in the original design and you did a great job realising it. The torch castings were an inspired choice and perfect with the original build philosophy of "if it works, use it". The design of the "what if..." box art really make me want to see this in the shops and buy one. Maybe you could make a mould?
Thank you David, it was great fun to build & everything went together with no stress, I’m in the middle of another Falcon variant using the same process, a YT-2000 (Otana)
@@jaiteamodels I hear ya. Been about 8 years since we (my sons and I) have posted on RPF. Takes a lot more time & effort than folks think, we never even tried Utubs, that’d be a huge time-sink. Hmm…looking at model room…looking at keyboard…guess I could do something ‘bout that RPF content though 😉.
I'm glad George Lucas picked the design he did. The cockpit to the side adds many dynamics to why it would ever be their. I'm an actual pilot myself, & landing with a constant 15 knot crosswind is a challenge in a Cessna 172. One must lasd faster than usual & touch down only one wheel 1st. The wheel on the side facing into the crosswind. Its both excitimg & scary the 1st time. You really learn too rely on your training & instincts. I always look at a ship in star wars as if I were actually flying each one professionally & experiencing all excitimg difference from one craft to the next. The side cockpit is so alluring on a YT-1300. Unlike s B-Wing starfighter, there's lots more too lose in a crash & Han's skill is a welcomed advantage in controlling perhaps the fastest YT-1300 ever. Chewbacca is no slouch. He's the best co-pilot in the galaxy & the M.F. should belong too Chewy, in Solo's absense. Oh well. I do like your design sir. I would enjoy viewing it hauling cargo planet to planet. She can definitely haul more than the M.F. & why wouldn't she be one of Lando's many other ships, that he is said to own?
@@jaiteamodelsI'd flying yours for the experience. Imagine commercial flying/ operation in starwars. I wish there was a genuine insentive to log in-game time in the commercial use of these cool designs. Like taxis between planets, shipping cargo, actually braving commercial pass codes with Imperial star command to pass un-hindered. And without becoming stardust. Man, what a bad time for a bio break. Hehe And to fly starfighters accompanying convoys or perfecting formation in flight.
I can't help but think that just 3D printing this is in some way cheating. It's just so easy if you have a printer. Saying that I have a scratch build project that requires a few parts from an expensive kit I have and it would be a shame to bash it.
Yep, I agree, I got a 3d printer, but honestly don’t like it, I can scratch something quicker by hand than design, print etc,…this model is 99% 3d print free,….built the old school way

Thanks a lot Curtis! Was a joy to build

Thanks, I’m not a big fan of Disney Star Wars either, big fan of the originals & their concepts

Thank you Max, it was great fun to build
Perfect really nice.... Good job 🧐👍👏
Thank you!!!
Mate this is awesome! I love it. Your photos are bring the ship to life. If you added some sound effects it would fit in to any of the movies🔥🔥🔥
Thank you, it was great fun to build, tried to get the harsh lighting effect for the photos like they did in the 70’s
Really amazing man
This is brilliant and completely fits in universe.
Thank you ArmouryTerrain

Me gusta más este concepto que el de Han Solo, Good job.
Gracias !
BTW, +++ on your RPF diary on this model.
Thanks Jesse, that was a brilliant time for me, so creative, I need to book some time off work to get some projects out of the way

This model seems similar to one you pilot in 'X-Wing Alliance' the Otana.
That’s my next one, hopefully

1:32 - Lore has it that George Lucas saw a hamburger with piece bitten off and that's how they came with what the Milllennium Falcon should look like.
Joe has recently debunked that story, & shown us the sketches he did at the time
as an American what is fomexs?
