      This is the solution though. The US has enough oil in reserve for us to stop importing oil for years. The higher prices are artificially made by oil companies. There is no reason for it, they are just trying to make more money. The majority of oil in North America comes from North and South America, we don't even import that much from Russia. There is REAL reason for oil companies to be hiking up prices.

      @@TJReeve777 regulation on oil companies went up drastically when By Den got in. So now it costs more and the companies are charging more to get the same return on investment. Also the money invested to drill for oil is somewhere around a year to 18 months in advance before the oil comes out of the ground. The guy has publicly went after them so it's natural they are going to get the money while they can.

      I think he just supports certain policies rather than a specific party or person. I don't think he agreed with the vaccine mandate stuff at all and it became the main issue for him in his personal life, so he's a fan of DeSantis policy on the vaccines. But in other areas like UBI he wouldn't be aligned with DeSantis at all and would fit more with Bernie.

      He talked about in on a previous occasion and explained that Trumps team wouldn’t agree to the the format of the show. Trump wouldn’t want to have a long (2-3 hour) talk and be pushed on his answers during their talk.
      Rogan didn’t want to compromise on how his show is run so Trump could come with shorter soundbites of what he wanted

Look at all of the backlash he got after he had Bernie on.       That's not what he said. Watch the entire podcast you "clip watching Andy". His reasoning is trump wouldn't be honest anyway and giving him the platform of the world's largest podcast to speak would be giving trump the chance to endeer himself to allot other voters and Rogan doesn't want to help trump in ANY way. Joe isn't worried about, or saying that, people will think he likes trump.

    Here’s the thing - Akaash said that “sometimes the conservatives say that someone is a dem because of a potential let wing position”. I say they started this trend a long time ago. He needs to call it like it is - all crazies on either side that aren’t objective divide us by saying you are either on the left or right if you take a particular position. Everyone has lost their mind and it’s useless to call someone out if you don’t have a strong position either way.

      Look it up. If a third party candidate gets enough votes. Like 5% then their funding is increased.
      The left and right each are funded by taxpayers. Then they secure additional funds by campaigning.
      If we increase funding for third parties, eventually we can end the 2 party system.
      What part of this didn't make sense?

      The way I see it, we have 2 options.
      1. Keep going the way we are going. Try to educate the masses and fight stupidity head on and keep on "lesser evil" voting until we die.
      2. Acknowledge that a single vote doesn't matter anyways and push third party voting until we die.
      One of these options gives me hope, while the other does not.
      It might be throwing your vote away at first, but it's better than lesser evil voting.
      It's time we vote FOR something, not AGAINST something else.

    Joe says “he doesn’t want to help him”, but isn’t the whole point of his podcast to encourage conversation and provide a space for debate on opposing viewpoints?? It’s pretty wild to me that he wouldn’t want to get Trump on the hot seat and ask some things that others wouldn’t dare. Even if he had to stick to scripted questions, there’s be a lot to gain from seeing trump in a 1 on 1 long form discussion over current issues and the failures of the current administration. It’s baffling to me that he that he’s sleeping on a historical opportunity

      What happened with Joe Rogan Chris Pratt and Matthew McConaughey shows that being a moderate or a centrist is worse than someone being democrat or republican because the mainstream media and social media will try so hard to put you a box in order to fit the two party narrative when people can lean different ways on different issues or be like me and both parties for legit reasons. Both aren’t exactly the same in terms of policy but in terms of HOW they advocate for those policies they are at very least similar. Neither party truly cares about the people in my opinion anyway they only care about money and power and it’s bullshit.

    Nah man, Rogan folded to political pressure, even if he was neutral or disagreed with trump, having him on the show would make it even more interesting. Rogan has had many people who he has disagreed with on his show who have completely different views and those made for some of the most informative and interesting episodes. This is purely out of the pressure from the ceos who would advocate to have Rogan kicked off his platform if he had trump on. Hate to see it

    Actually, it's closed primaries that insure the most extreme candidates get elected. Semi closed and open primaries are more reasonable. Personally, semi closed primaries are my favorite.

    I’m not a Trump Supporter, but I would not want Trump on anything right now. Trump has the tendency to say absurd statements, and mainstream media butchers him for it. Biden is not the one to beleading us through the hard times we have been facing. When Trump was in office things were better. I don’t mind another 4 years of Trump because that is all it would be- 4 years. Another 4 years of Biden not ideal.

      Yeah that may be true ideologically, but he severely tempered his legislative goals (partially in hopes of not adding to the ever building divide in the country and partially because he couldn't really get anything passed in his second term because of deadlock). It's hard to say that Obama was deeply liberal in the practical sense
