She’s so down-to-earth, for someone so famous and has excelled in the industry for so long 🥰
She's been through a lot, she had treatment for depression in 2008 or round then. I think that journey can humble us. It is awful.
Kirsten has always been so healthy looking. As a grown woman she has a figure and kind personality. I like her
She's one of the most genuinely nice people in Hollywood.
And don't forget Marie Antoinette such an amazing movie. Her acting was amazing in that movie! She could tell anything with her eyes!!!

I remember when Kirsten was a little girl. Not many child actors make the transition into adult actors successfully. Its been fun watching her grow up via the movies.

I love interviews like this that are endearingly "awkward." You just get the sense they're a genuine person, but maybe that's just me 🤷♂️

Yes indeed. A really good film, but I found I couldn't watch it more than once. Kind of a downer, which was, I guess, the whole point. But really good performances all round. Good ol' Lars. messing with your head, as per usual!
Tim Beaton yep I feel that way about the entire Depression Trilogy.. all absolutely phenomenal pieces of work but extremely difficult to rewatch

And Alexander Skarsgard plays her husband in both Melancholia and On Becoming a God....

Such an amazing actress. From indie cult classics to oddball comedies and even the occasional mainstream blockbuster and hit TV series. Her repertoire is phenomenal. I’ve always been a fan.
This was a very awkward interview, I loved it.
Lately, awkward has become the norm with Colbert. Not sure if consistently awkward is good.
He's a lousy interviewer . Maybe the best trump destroyer ( in spite of acting silly ) but won't take second place to his guests.

I can't believe it's her first time on the show. Stephen should have invited her earlier. Nice to see her back with a new show. I have always been a fan of her work. She is an incredible actress, and it wouldn't have hurted him to mention "Melancholia" or "Fargo" (some more recent works of her).
I scrolled down trying to find a reference to her minor role in ‘eternal sunshine of a spotless mind’. I’ll just stop here and say yeah, she’s been under appreciated and in some amazing films.

Story Optics it was classic. And with all the big names, Pitt, Cruise, Banderas, Slater, Newton, Dunst.
Loved it. Ages well too. Still catch it on TV at least once a year. Of course, the book blows it away!

I thought Kirstin was the heart and soul of "Interview with a Vampire." I knew she would have a strong acting career after that. Glad she did the Spiderman movies as well. Such and endearing person and performance.
Best unappreciated line in the movie:
"The way I came." (with ironic suppressed laughter)

I first became enamored of Kirsten back in 2002 when Spider-Man came out. She was simply stunning then as she is now. Considering she just had a child, she looks pretty good for being 37. Her father being from Hamburg, explains why she holds German citizenship.
Disappointing that nobody hires her anymore for big projects & movies she deserves more recognition

I had a heeeuuuuge crush on Tom Cruise when I was 10 and _Interview With The Vampire_ was my favourite film of his. I remember being madly jealous of Kirsten Dunst!
Love her though; she seems really sweet and down-to-Earth. I read an article where she said Tom Cruise still sends her an amazing cake every Christmas and her whole family gets excited about the ‘Cruise cake’. 😂

Tom Cruise is one of the few Hollywood veterans who didn't associate himself with that scum bag. That makes him better than most of Hollywood.
Stephen Colbert is one of my favourite hosts. He has great chemistry with his hosts, he makes them comfortable and is actually charming without trying too hard to be funny. Unlike others.
Brad Pitt was Tristen in “Legends of the Fall”. Man that was a good movie. Very underrated.

Interview with a Vampire/Little Women...two great early performances by a young Kirsten Dunst.
Weird that Natalie Portman (a former child actress who started her career around the same time as Kirsten) has an Oscar (out of 3 nominations), but Kirsten doesn't even have one nomination to her name, despite a rather brilliant filmography.
That's the story of many actors though. Kirsten dunst kind if disappeared from film /Hollywood at a point when she was going through depression. Natalie Portman has maintained her career and been more consistent. Also may have to do with type of movies you pick /star in
Some actors are just liked by the Academy. Some are not.
