I think Tiersen uses a classical button accordion (a chromatic one). The sound often depends on the tunning of the instrument, more than the instrument itself. Mine is a Borelli, a diatonic from Italia.

This type of accordion is called a diatonic button accordion, shortened to "diato" in French. More specifically, this particular kind is often called a 3-row, because it has three rows on the right hand side. Each row of buttons on the right typically plays the notes of a different musical key. Common keys for the rows are Bb/Eb/Ab, A/D/G, G/C/F, F/Bb/Eb, or E/A/D. On this model I think the two outer rows are G/C, and the third row (closest to the bellows provides accidentals). The left hand buttons play bass notes and chords.

El video lo grabó en 2 partes, lo que indica que se equivocó al grabarlo. En el 1:32 lo cortó y grabó la segunda parte. Eso le quita mérito a su interpretación
Because this is a diatonic accordion, the keys play a different note when the bellows is going out than when it is going in. In the long repetitive runs, the bellows changes direction but the notes seem to be the same. Is he using different keys to play the same notes?
