- Starring in The Serpent (soon to be out on Netflix), actress Mathilde Warnier invited Vogue Paris to visit her apartment in Sentier, Paris. Calling it her Polly Pocket flat which she moved into following a breakup, her space is small but expertly laid out and decorated. See how she plays with space, making furniture and storage real design elements and giving pride of place to her books and plants.

Has anyone noticed that these are getting better & better the further we get into pandemic times? More authentic, refreshing, unpretentious personalities. I’m all for it!

Voilà un vrai exemple d’une jeune femme qui vit sa vie tranquille mais avec passion, mais surtout un intérieur un peu plus en phase avec les réalités. Et pourtant, il est bien agencé, décoré à son goût, avec ses touches et on la sent heureuse. C’est ça le comble de l’élégance, l’art de ne pas paraître !

C'est un montage vidéo qui ne montre en rien la réalité des jeunes femmes actuelles ... :)

(Je me dis parfois que cette série de vidéos fascinantes d'arrogance bourgeoise, souvent hilarantes - et dont je me délecte avec un plaisir coupable - est peut-être produite par une bande de crypto-marxistes qui cherchent à réveiller nos instincts révolutionnaires. Je ne peux pas croire que ce soit fait au premier degré !)
Et là, je dois dire que pour une fois, un peu de simplicité et de naturel, ça fait du bien. J'ai presque envie de lui dire merci, à Mathilde.

Autant j'aime bien Mathile Warnier, ce n'est pas le souci mais est-ce qu'il serait possible de faire des vidéos sur des personnes / appartements plus authentiques ? C'est relativement toujours la même chose : un appartement blanc immaculé, quelques "pièces" chinées, quelques souvenirs de voyages, des vêtements de créateurs vintages trouvés dans des friperies parisiennes, etc... Certes, cela représente une grande partie des personnes de ce milieu mais sérieusement, est-ce que toutes les "femmes françaises" sont comme ça ? Quelle image / cliché cela donne des Françaises, c'est plat, c'est creux.

Elle est parisienne, (en passe d'être) artiste, elle a l'affectation puérile de se prendre pour une folle bohème, mais il y a encore une personnalité à bâtir, elle n'a pas encore fait le choix de la bourgeoisie. Souhaitons qu'elle saura prendre des risques...

I heard from Mathilde for the first time two weeks ago, l am Cuban and The Serpent serial is being aired now here...everyone is hooked by the excellent plot,performances and the multilingual skills of the actors where--in my opinion Ms Warnier stands out.. Two thumbs up and greetings from Havana!!!
