My celebration is starting to wake up in Athens. Nice green haze to it… itching to scalp in 2 weeks.

I have a couple questions Ron I’ll try to get them to you during the next stream. But I applied propiconzle in November. When should I apply again? I live in central Lousiana so my lawns only went dormant partially. Also, what’s the meaning of the reclaimed coffee grounds in the top dressing on your store? Seems like the other one is better being 50-50 compost- bio char. Unless the coffee grounds does something I don’t know, it’s not worth just getting a bit of humate and losing so much carbon.

Hi Haff. I would apply preventative fungicide in the late April - June timeframe. That said, if you've dealt with disease problems in your lawn in the past, you may have to alter when you do it. There are more differences between a 50-50 compost/biochar product and Essential-G than reclaimed coffee grounds. They're an organic way to improve plant growth.
Essential-G is: 45% Compost, 35% Reclaimed coffee grounds, 10% Biochar, 5% Humate, 5% Silicon. The ingredient makeup offers more to your soil than strictly compost and biochar.

@@RonHenry thanks Ron. I’ll go with the essential G then. They are both way better than humichar from Andersons. Also Mr Ron, what’s your email? I’ve got some odd circle spots that are fairly large. I’d like to send some pictures to you. I will try to send to you this evening after work.

Ron I just moved into a home. The yard is 80% of weeds and it has plenty of bald spots. I had Tru Green spray a pre-emergent on Feb 20th. Now I have decided I want to overseed with a Tall Fescue but I'm not sure what type of grass is there now. Since it's been 4 weeks since the pre-emergent is it ok to overseed or should I wait until the fall? The lawn is looking pretty bad with all the bald areas.

If Tru Green sprayed pre-emergent on Feb 20th, you're unlikely to get good germination with your Fescue seeding project. Most pre-emergents are effective for 3 - 5 months depending on conditions. I would wait until the fall.

@Ron Henry what can I don't about the bare spots if you dont recommend seeding?

Ron, is it to late to apply glyphosate to kill fescue in bermuda or is there an alternative? In Norfolk, VA area. Thanks alot.

I wouldn’t use glyphosate on Bermuda. If you want to eliminate Fescue, in Bermuda, I would use Celsius and surfactant. golfcourselawn.store/collections/lawn-weed-killers
