4. Lake Victoria is the world's second largest freshwater lake and is shared between Tanzania Uganda and Kenya
5. Lake Tanganyika is the second deepest lake in the world.
6. Lake turkana is saline lake
7. North America lakes like Lake Ontario Lake Erie Lake Huzhron Lake Missigan and Lake Superior these are fresh water lakes while lakes in rift valleys are result of great depressions and some of them are saline in nature.
8. Lake Superior located in North America.
9. Lake Baikal is in Russia and its the deepest freshwater Lake and third largest by size (area)
10. Aral sea which is in between Uzbekistan and Kazakistan is facing many environmental issues including shrinking pollution climate change salanization.

12. Australia's largest lake the lake eyre is significant as its basin is home to rare and endangered plants and animals, wetlands, grasslands, and deserts.
