He sometimes falls into traps (eg Rittenhouse), but he actively avoids them so often that it's clear he tries and succeeds at questioning narratives even when they favor his own side. He is honestly good at steel-manning and seeing things from very different perspectives from himself. Idk he's very adamantly not MAGA at all. But he sees a couple redeeming qualities in MAGA and wants to use those vectors to accomplish something.
