At college in the late 60's Bud and Lou had their 30 minute show during the week and on Sunday's their 90 minute movies. We would laugh so hard with all the characters, Stinky, Mr Bachagaloo,Hillary,Mr Fields,Mike the Cop and many more. A whole generation grew up to watching them in the 1950's along with Laural and Hardy, WC Fields, the 3 Stooges, Andy's Gang, The Lone Ranger, Roy Rodgers and the rest of the cowboys. Thanks Bud and Lou for all the laughs. Those were good years.
This show was possibly one of the best sitcoms of all time. A top notch cast, Lou was wonderful, Abbott the greatest straight man, Sid in a class by himself (I knew him, he wrote some comedy for our lounge act in Vegas)Mike, Besser, Hilary, Bacciagalupe, the 1st guy in the Flugal street routine. I loved all the charactors.
I bought the whole box set of the TV show about 2 years ago.I love it!!! Use to love watching it as a kid,and every now and then I will go back and watch a few discs, and have a great laugh!!!
I agree with latebar2000 - these guys were classic and brought true laughter into our homes. I love comics of today - big time, but nothing and no one will ever compare to the shows and comics we grew up with. I miss them, I really do - thanks for sharing.
"That's all I do is eat." at the end - that's the punch line that stays with you. Genius.

Best line in the whole thing.
"Then you gotta fix the tractor!! Takes 3 or 4 hours to fix the tractor!!" God that line cracks me everytime...

The minds of many of today's youth have been so polluted with trash, they could not enjoy this brand of simple, yet clean comedy.

I grew up doing farm/cattle work, some of the hardest work I ever did. I still can't look a bale of hay in the face! Ha!
And Zingo you're ready for breakfast....Fields was so underrated.
And Zingo your ready for supper !!
Hey, Abbott!!!!!
I liked it when Sid Field played the tramp in "Sloooowly I turned..." My dad's favourite Abbott and Costello sketch, that was!
Fields knew that routine in his sleep from his years in vaudeville
