Totally agree, when cards like accelerant and fan flames exist next to siphon and flame feed, the unupgraded versions are much better and it lets you save on party space with not needing a water spirit or saving on ghostshrooms

Absolutely, with the numbers we get to "half" and "all of" are functionally identical on the heal, better to leave some on the enemy to keep on melting them!

Haha, after my first poison fight, I was like I need to be able to do that to enemies.

"What the hell, this minecraft dirt block lookin' ass enemy just half-healthed my entire team with like three attacks... HOW DO I DO THAT?"

ribbite my beloved(also tangle+, venom vine+ slap, esp in a context of a ribbite build and if trying to limit deck size having it as a dual card for saying "nope dont do skills" if needed even at the higher cost which is a little irrelevent bcs psychic spirits)
also note that tangle status effect iirc was patched to not affect missingno bcs of this oversight?
    - reckless gas: "if you are playing marsha its an A tier card ... otherwise B tier" if you arent doing ribbite or marsha(lol) what are you doing?
    - I can see siphon being used for funny things for healing with maybe a solo poison build for infinidungeon(weird similar situation to life pool where I would also prefer the unupgraded version)
    - venom vine also good for ribbite as option for tangle, poison applied means its good enough and we dont care about scaling, 5 armour is pretty good for most of the game and a convinient side effect

A lot of good thoughts here! I wasn't aware of the change to tangle, but that makes so much sense! Good on the devs for closing that loophole, tangle is still plenty useful even without breaking the last boss. Psychic spirits absolutely make all card costs irrelevant, that's why I'm trying to do this lists "in a vacuum" and ignoring cards outside of their element when deciding my placements on these lists. Honestly if we allow for Meditate + Mind's Eye + Enlighten + Momentum shenanigans, every single damaging card in the game is S tier because it allows for an OTK. ;P

At the start of their turn, spirits with poison take damage equal to the number of poison stacks they have, and then lose one stack of poison. This damage completely ignores armor and it still considered to be normal attack damage, so if the enemy is weak to poison type attacks it will also do 1.5x damage and reduce their armor by 1 every time in activates. This, combined with how easy it is to get cards that multiply poison by 3x or 8x, means that you can very easily stack several hundred points of poison. This would be good on it's own, but there's also a spirit called Ribbite. What Ribbite does is, when an enemy dies, all of their poison stacks are transferred to another random enemy. If an enemy dies from poison at the start of their turn and the poison moves to another spirit who did not already take damage from poison that turn, they will immediately take the same damage again, and if it kills that enemy it will immediately jump again to the third spirit. You can VERY EASILY set up a deck with Ribbite and a psychic spirit supporter that can put a few hundred or few thousand stacks of poison on a single enemy turn one and at the start of their turn kill an entire team. Even without cheesing like this, the fact that you can build poison up turn after turn means that card for card, energy for energy, poison stacks will be a LOT more efficient than direct damage options.

It's also worth noting that the difference between cards that "Apply Poison" and "Deal Poison damage" can be a little confusing to new players or people who speak English as a second language. Only the cards that say "Apply" grant stacks, cards that say "Deal" work like all of the basic damaging cards in the other elements.

@@Altune- omg thank you sooooo much for answering, and for answering so detailed!!😭😭 you and another YT girl totally saved me for totally fuc*ing up my deck haha!! Oh Gosh I'm sooo happy you mentioned ribbit cuz he is one of my best spirit cuz I thought he might me good so i have put my all in him, in him and trunkle (I forgot his name haha, the lil green n purple tree dude😂) so atleast that's nice haha!!
So is trunkle any good?? He applies 3 poison to all enemies at the start of the round, he has been awesome so far, but now that I realize how good poison actually is I feel like Marsha and ribbit is much better ofc 😭😂 but is he any good anyway ?
My absolute best one is magicat cuz I got him early in an egg, but crazier than that he was a holo Haha 😂 I have a few other psychic ones too that I'm building!
I'm still figuring out which one to have as my third, I have mosty used a water spirit bc of the regen but tbh I really dont use that all I much!
Thank you sooo much for answering me, so hard to find this straigh info anywhere, couldn't even find out any detailed and straight info like you gave from the moonstone island wiki haha!gonna screenshot this haha 😂 thank you again!!!

@@NathalieCwiekSwiercz Trunkle and Marsha are a really sweet team to run together if you're planning to run the AoE poison game plan, but they kind of have negative synergy with Ribbite. If you're running the Ribbite plan, you want to focus really hard on single target poison cards, because you want your big single stacks of poison to immediately activate right after the bounce. If the spirit it moves to already has small stacks of poison, you risk those small stacks activating before the big one and delaying your damage a turn. Usually if you're doing Ribbite shenanigans, you want him to be your only poison spirit and then you want some Psychic or Dark types in the squad to fuel him with extra energy and card draw to do some really insane opening turns. If you wanna run a triple poison squad with Trunkle and Marsha, I think for your third slot you'd rather run either Taddle for some extra AoE poison when he loses armor, or maybe Toxitoe for the out of combat utility of the extra daily teleport.
