Thanks for sharing this great old promotional video. I worked at an AGCO Allis Dealer in the Mid 1990’s. It was funny that they Compared the Magnum to the White, they had the same engines. Every Manufacturer had to put there spin on stuff. Thanks again for the videos, Ethan.
These old videos are great! Thanks for the effort of putting them up! Back in the age of this video there were a lot of white planters and discs in my area. The tractors never caught on though. They had a bad reputation in my area. Probably lack of a dealer. Deere and case followed by mf were the most popular.
Cool video, it's sad all of the dealers went by the wayside in the 80s. Only reason deere is still rolling hot with huge market share is they kept the dealer network intact.
Impressive collection of oil and or water color paintings during the intro. ( not to mention the old-timey b/w photos... ). Many remind be of Grant Wood paintings... Those are some great illustrations.
Considering two tractors in that test, use the same basic engine outside of the difference in stroke and compression lol. Interesting that we never saw any Minnie mo yellow. Cummins engines were probably by far the cheapest operating ones of all the tractors they had built. And the last true tractors that had any Oliver or Minneapolis heritage in them. But considering by the competition having power shift, and probably lack of a good sales force. Otherwise we would have had a couple here since we had owned uni system at the time. I always thought that if all allis dealers had sold White instead of deutz it would have survived with new idea as a full line
Wish they allowed all of the Workhorse models to have the color choices that the American series did. It’d be cool to see a bunch of them all in green, yellow, and red other than the three spirit tractors.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy It‘s because I work for Horsch, so I need to prefer Horsch. But White still makes really good planters and the old White tractors seem to be very robust.
7120 was 155 on the pto so now your 11 horse smaller. 4555 was 162 on the pto which is close but if you’re going to make a comparison between at least 2 competitive tractors they need to be the equivalent of each other. Call your congressman and complain.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy not sure why you're getting shjtty with me, You're acting like you're the one who made the promo lol. All I'm saying is it matters obviously higher hp is going to be a little worse economy, the Deere had the highest and was the worst of the bunch, the case was closer and finished in the middle, and the white performed the best and had the least power. I bet they'd all end up pretty close to eachother. Anyway. Have a good one
Because I find it annoying when people try to pick apart 30 year old videos like they weren’t all doing the same sales game at the time instead of just watching it and enjoying it for the history it has.

Maybe in another thirty years I'll be able to afford a workhouse series! Thanks I really enjoy these videos!
Note the new White tractor painted green with Oliver badging. They got a red one with Cockshutt badging.
Read the video description. 🤦♂️
@@Oliver66FarmBoy Oops
Fascinating hoe much of this equipment is still around and being used on small and mi-sized farms.

Great to see these Videos.
White/Oliver the leader is a no brainer! Thanks for sharing this video was awesome

Thanks Ethan great to see these videos
I remember as a kid going to farm progress day seeing some of this equipment. Especially the White American tractors.
Back when farm shows were worth going to.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy right!

Thank you for these memories 💖
That is cool thank you buddy be safe out there your buddy from Nebraska
Thanks for the video I enjoyed it 👍
I would be interested what white tractors would look like today. To bad they didn't survive.
You found some really cool videos Ethan

How Come they don't make White Farm Equipment anymore?
Wish they allowed all of the Workhorse models to have the color choices that the American series did. It’d be cool to see a bunch of them all in green, yellow, and red other than the three spirit tractors.
Added to much to the cost of production. That’s why the spirit package was cancelled.
6000 series looked very like john deeres
Do you have a uni-System video? If you do I want to see it please
So this must be one of the last years right before Agco bought them out?
The White acquisition was finished in 93.
Didn't know that you could choose different colors for the tractors. Interesting. Do they still make promotional videos like this?
The Deere and case were full power shifts they use more fuel just from that.
Yea
Enjoyable vids. Sad that this company went under. At least they were built in North America
Don’t know if it went under more as evolved into agco with the white name going by the wayside
That's cool you could choose a color for your tractor on certain models. I wonder if there are any original tractors out there in those colors...

Not a big fan of White’s tractor designs but still cool
Umm... why compare fuel efficiency to 2 higher horsepower tractors? Lol
Because those were the 2 tractors it was sold against in that horsepower class….
@@Oliver66FarmBoy John Deere had the 4555 and Case had a 7120
