That shot also reminded me of Deja Vu, except it was Yoohyeon and Dong instead of Yoohyeon and JiU 😊 I think the black crown that they destroy near the end is definitely a reference to the last comeback "VillainS" (OOTD). I think it was interesting that the video overall was relatively.. minimalist? It was mostly just some scenes and some dancing in like, some rooms. There was a bit of CGI, sure, but it feels like a big contrast compared to the previous couple comebacks, especially the Apocalypse trilogy where the music videos were like 99% CGI (though supposedly that was done because travelling to real sets and building those sets is worse for the environment). OOTD didn't have as much CGI as the Apocalypse trilogy but still more than this one and it was very prominently featured too, or rather it featured a lot of visible "editing" in the video, like they were photoshopping the MV while you were watching it. Since that one was "VillainS" and this one is "VirtuouS", I wonder if it's supposed to be a comment on how all the editing and the "fakeness" is evil, while this one represents the good and is a more "clean" look. But maybe I'm overthinking it 😅 Btw I just noticed in the last shot you see the 7 of them from behind but then an 8th person steps into the frame. I wonder if that's some kind of foreshadowing for the next comeback. Oh and one more thing, the line distribution felt so good for this song? Especially with like Handong and Gahyeon chorus pars and stuff. Siyeon still had the high notes in the background and Dami still had a big verse but just the distribution overall felt so fair.
