    It being in Canada was secondary, the main reason Bret didn't want to do it was because it was to Shawn. Shawn who had vacated every title, who had also said to Bret that he wasn't willing to job to him. Shawn was the issue, not Canada.

    • @TeddyKGB12
      @TeddyKGB12 Год назад

      BS. Mush-head Bret thinks he's a Canadian hero, whatever that is. Canadians have low standards for heroes if that's the case. Shawn was an egomaniac douche, but so was Bret. You do what the boss tells you to do. Bret didn't and he's been a crybaby about it ever since.

      @@GameTime-yj6qv Taker had mentioned this on a podcast he was on. Small problem there is the Bad Blood HIAC match was the #1 contender match with HBK. You'd have to have Taker go over for that. Plus that would've delayed the Kane angle ahead. My idea would've been to have Taker go over HBK, defeat Bret at SS 97, and then have him drop it to HBK at the Royal Rumble with the debut of Kane. At wrestlemania you'd have your Kane vs Taker and HBK vs Austin. The big issue with this whole drama was Bret HATED Shawn with a burning passion because Shawn was a total prick! I'm amazed HBK wasn't fired LONG before any of this!

    Vince did not do what was best for the company , Vince did what he wanted to and was showing that no one would tell him what to do in his own company . Bret said he would drop the belt to ANYONE in the WWE other than Shawn and that is the end of any argument against what Russo or anyone else can try to come up with to defend Vince . Bret gave Vince a lot of options and Bret was under no legal obligation what so ever to do that . If Bret decided to sue and that had gone to court the WWE would have been found guilty . Vince is the same guy that exposed the business and let us all know it was FAKE during the steroid trials to save his own arse . Vince does what is best for Vince and no one else .

      Vince should quit while he still can without getting backlash that will last for too many years. HHH once said Vince wouldnt go out an enjoy himself with his own fortune like he should. If Vince is lucky by the time he quits hardly anyone will notice all the dirty laundry over the years and the company will further prosper and shine like never before and everything including the shows will go on without him just fine and like nothing happened. Then he'll learn how a business can do well without the personal restraints of its own owner. But thats wishful thinking- this man for some reason wants to learn the very hard way of when to stop and retire gracefully.

      You Bret marks make me laugh. He had NO chance at a lawsuit. You do what the boss tells you to do, end of discussion. Reasonable creative control doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want. It's Vince's company and he has the final say. He did what was best for his company and the other talent. How did WWE do after crybaby Bret left? THEY FLOURISHED WITHOUT HIM! Why don't you go into work (if you even have a real job) and when your boss wants you to do something, tell him/her that you don't want to and see what that gets you. Not that you'd be missed. We are stacked up with selfish marks like him already. Its just too important to focus on greed and control than to preserve good standards and ethics which were the building blocks of the business they are running to begin with. You can never work or convince a childish criminal power thug that will tear down the structures of capitalism that build the businesses and opportunities to run a business, because they themselves are incapable of being the hands that built American. They are parasites that will wait for good people to rebuild America only for them to spoil it all with their greed and evil and go back to bringing it all down again. Vince was not going to trust Bret to just bring the title on Raw the next night when he was no longer on contract with the company. But was Vince making a poor decision while proving he runs the company, not the talent? Yes.
