I like the walking pole concept, thanks for sharing

Hiking poles are useful for a load of purposes. The wildest one I've seen is a guy using them in Texas to shoo away rattlesnakes. :)

You're welcome. There's a few more I've thought of that I may try out on my next backpacking trip.. I find that having an extra ground tarp or emergency blanket is really useful in adapting to the situation that I find myself in when camping.

Glad you enjoyed it. After I was done and driving home, I thought of two more variations. :)

It’s been a while since I checked in on your channel. I figured I’d say hello. Getting wet can make for a miserable trip. These extended tarps seem like a great idea. 👍

Thanks Craig. You can see I live demo of the heat shield set up at the end of my Cold and Wet Pt. 2 video.

Great ideas - thanks! Do you have a favorite rainfly to recommend? I’d like to have something for an eating area away from my tent. 👌👍 - Jennifer

Thanks! I recommend the Onewind rainfly. It's very light, durable and has enough tie out points to make it flexible to lots of needs.

Nice, ok, thanks! I hope we get some good weather soon- we got a dusting of snow tonight! I don’t get to backpack too often, but if I had a better at up I could go when there’s a bit of rain… thanks! @@amputeeoutdoors
