This video just made me appreciate the original even more. The VA work was so much better in the original. This game feels more like a "demaster" to me.
The one that bothers me the most is Cliff’s voice lines. Him calling Frank a commie or Viet Cong added so much to his character. You can truly feel that under his tough exterior, he’s a good man who lost his last screws & pushed him back to his dark ages in Vietnam he tried so hard to bury. With his new lines, it don’t hit the same. He feels like a generic crazy guy when he calls Frank a mole and an animal, which can kinda dwindle the amount of sympathy you feel for killing him. The graphical & environmental improvements are amazing as always from Capcom, but I think I’ll just pass for now & stick with my 360 copy.
I have no idea what Capcom was thinking, most of the voice lines in here are so weak. It was like the voice actors were just phoning it in and were just reading from the script. There was hardly emotion to match the situations that went on in here. Plus, Brad and Frank just feel like grandpas at this point given at how aged their voices are. It doesn't fit the tone.

Him being a Vietnam war veteran rather than just a random soldier was what made him more a sympathetic villian than just another boss fight. A shame. *Brads Death?* Literally cannot tell the difference, please help. *Butcher Change?* Not too bad, personally find him a lot more intimidating with such a broader and hulking build than an overweight Asian man. Add a bit of muddied clothing and blood and it wouldve been perfect.

Personally, I don't mind the changes that much. I recently finished Dead Rising 1 and I don't think putting it on a pedestal just because it's not censored seems silly to me. As I said, the censorship wasn't as bad as people think. The only drastic change was with the butcher. The rest are just minor changes or quality of life improvements. I felt the erotic photos were unnecessary because you're not always going to focus on the girls, and I don't feel like Frank is one of those who takes photos of girls in the middle of zombie chaos.
