Awesome video! 2 more video ideas for you if you need them (sorry for the unsolicited ideas 😅 1) Say you spend time in the laravel ecosystem and want to ship a production application, how much would you expect to pay for all of the laravel goodies each month? like Forge, Herd, Envoyer, etc. How many of those are necessary? 2) As a complete beginner, how long would you anticipate it'd take to learn how to ship a decently complex laravel app. Assuming already decent proficiency with coding/rails/etc. How would you effectively learn the ecosystem?
Aaron pumping videos like every other day - loving it. I'm not actively working on Laravel - moved to Spring(Java) due to my job, but still a Laravel fanboy and waiting on Aaron to create a full Laravel+Livewire course.
Hey, thanks for amazing video, Aaron. Seems like laravel is in a hype train for last months, a lot of my friends JS developers - they told me PHP and Laravel is not crap anymore. So excited for PHP and Laravel bright future 🎉
PHP is still bad though :( the blocking model sucks and also the one-process-per-request is very inefficient. Thankfully there are solutions but I feel they are still not very developer friendly
This service is looks very useful, with kind price politics, like you can use it on simple project where u have a small amount of mails for free, or like just use it for self notification when server is going to have critial errors, i like it, thx a lot😊
Tbh resend offers a very convenient service, but their pricing is a bit much for the functionality that you get out of it. Pricey enough to the point I'd just prefer SES. 250k emails / month with SES is $25~, with resend it is minimum $80. Pretty much every single price point resend is around 3x more expensive.
How is Jetbrains phpstorm so fast and smooth here 😑? It is slow in my laptop and desktop and Mac Air M1 😑 Nice addition to laravel and good video. Thanks
2:05 People using dark mode do not experience the good feeling you get after 10 hours working using light mode. That eyes burning feels great 😎. besides it dims your surroundings for better focus. I do use both modes, dark for VS Code and light mode for VS, I was using VS way before dark mode was a thing so it's out of habit. Thanks Aaron!
Yeah there's nothing on there but whatever. I don't know much about RUclips's creator side anyway. How do i stop getting emails for this silly comment???
Not to mention Resend is literally just a wrapper around SES, so it's still being delivered by SES. You're essentially paying 4-10x the price for a fancy dashboard.
@@eatinburgers No difference. Resend is literally just using SES to actually send the emails, you just get to use their fancy dashboard instead of the AWS console, but as awful as the AWS console is its not worth the significant price increase IMO.
I love the content, quality of teaching, fairness and kindness of this guy. I’m happy to see great guys like Jeffrey and Aaron in this community who helps us 🙏🏻✨
@@aarondfrancisif you do, could you check how to make horizontal scaling work with a Redis serverless cache in AWS? I understand if you cannot or don't want though, as it's a very niche and advanced usage... Thanks if you do!
I mean, let's be honest, does personal preference really matter? 😆 I love light mode on everything as it's easier on my eyes (but I totally get it's the opposite for others). Keep building, friend 🧑💻🤘
honey, wake up. a new aaron francis video!
nah babe we don't netflix and chil here. we francis & chil here

Man, a big Laravel project just drop on my lap and I'd be completely lost without your videos, thank you and keep it up!
man I can't get enough of these vids! Last time I had a channel I watch right away was Fireship, great work!!
3:20 checking that non existing watch to check how long it took. *chef's kiss*
Lol it's such a habit now
Haha appreciate the dark/light mode warnings! 😂
Love your content man! Always enjoy watching
Tried out Laravel this weekend. It’s a guilty pleasure now 😭

The dark mode warning got me lmaol!😂😂😂
Aaron, could you please tell me why someone would use a third party emailer?
I have never used anything but my servers own email functionality...
You can hit M for the flashbang in resend xD

great stuff Aaron!
Thank you @zeno_rocha for all the work you've done, I'm proud of you as a Brazilian (:
Love Aaron quietly deleting all the method docblocks. 😉
I do the same haha
🤐
I hate docblocks...
Man, your videos are a breath of fresh air among the score of youtubers/coders. Awesome video! I will be switching my project to resend today.
Stop lying! I heard yesterday that in Laravel you cannot replace things and have to always use built-in stuff only!
You can't trust everything RUclipsrs say (except me)
heey aron, love ur content! just a question, have u tried out warp terminal? what r ur thoughts on it if u did ^^ ?
It seems that nothing can beat the pricing of SES though... (If only they are willing to actually approve small businesses)

let's go!!
Thanks for such a good tutorial 😊
Is this a resend sponsored video?
Yup!
Hmm, then I'd find it appropriate to add a "sponsored content" badge to the video
It's on there. I always check that box in YT when it's sponsored
Yeah there's nothing on there but whatever. I don't know much about RUclips's creator side anyway. How do i stop getting emails for this silly comment???
Ah, thanks for the info, now it also shows up. Guess that was a glitch on RUclips's side :)
Excellent 🙌🙌
This looks like paid product placement or sponsorships, but there is no information about it in the descriptio
You should see the "contains paid promotion" overlay in RUclips. I also thank Resend at the end
What’s the editor?
PHP storm
I missed the part why not to use SES Mail from AWS? Its far cheaper. Good video!
Not to mention Resend is literally just a wrapper around SES, so it's still being delivered by SES. You're essentially paying 4-10x the price for a fancy dashboard.
@@ryanb509 I use Route 53 and SES for the super awesome combo.
Deliverability usually

This needs way more upvotes 😂
3-5x more pricey than SES, for the dashboard and tracking webhooks
Just use SES folks
I love the way u explain thing.. so friendly buddy.❤❤❤
Dark Mode is amazing... Idk why people hate it...
It is a big deal to see a new email provider. SparkPost and Mandrill were removed in v6. Also, nice job sneaking in a "what's new in PHP 8.4" at 6:24.
Aaron, you are killing it. Really loving the quality of your videos and the content direction.

Bro, Dark Mode is the Best
are you actually trolling or do you GENUINELY use light mode for your editor when coding?
am very concerned!
