Time will tell if we’ll romanticize the A380 the way we do the 747. Can’t think of a jetliner that impacted air travel like the 747. Sad to see her go.
For all those who like to point out that the A380 hasn't crashed, lets wait until the A380 has sold 1500 units over 50 years instead of its current number of a few hundred over a a time span of less than half that of the 747 and see how the crash stats look then. Oh, wait, the A30 has ended production and will never get there while the 747 is still in production and will be in the skies long after the A380 is gone. And how much of airliner saftey have we learned from the 747 and its accidents that the A380 is benefiting from?
5:26 My favorite is, A380. The stairs to go up on a Boeing 747 seems to be very fancy, but I still like the Airbus A380 because of the quietness, and I can fall a sleep for a quite a long time during my long haul international flights, and bigger IFE screens, and everything seems to be better for me on an Airbus A380; oh and BTW, if I fly in a Boeing 747, when I sit next to the window, I don't feel as well, but when I sit next to a window in a Airbus A380 (not that I have experienced it before), but I don't think I will get as uncomfy. A380 cabins are generally very comfortable and perfect for really long haul flights (like EK216/EK215, SQ38/SQ37, SQ23). I particularly like the Emirates A380 and the Singapore Airlines A380, as you can see what I wrote in my examples for long haul international flights. Once, I flew in an Emirates A380 for a 17 hour flight, I think it was like in 2010. When I flew in that A380, I fell ASLEEP for up to 8 or 9 hours! (quietness of the A380) Then I flew in Lufthansa A380 for an 8 hour flight, I think it was in 2014 or 2015. When I flew in that A380, I fell asleep for about 5 to 6 hours of the 8 hour or so flight, again same thing, quietness. Then I flew very recently in a decorated Emirates A380 for a 3 hour flight. Surprisingly, I didn't fall asleep for this one. The reason why is because I feel bad for what I did when I was really small, and there are a lot more of things to explore inside of an A380, why sleep when there is so much to look at right? So, I didn't sleep for the 3 hour flight, and it was also very quite short, and/but it only felt like 5 to 6 hours, because time was going by very slow (in a way that I would want because I am flying in an aircraft with comfy cabin). I mean, when it comes to A380, economy class is also very very comfortable, like literally ECONOMY CLASS (REGULAR ECONOMY CLASS) - it's also very comfortable inside an A380. Plus when you are onboard empty flights, you might mostly get something really good, like a whole row of 10 seats all to yourself, where you can possibly fall asleep when you are in the middle, and it's also like business class and first class, just, only when the A380 is at cruise it is that way. Other than that, when taking off, landing, at a layover or anything like that, it's like economy. Because what does higher class levels of luxury mean (i.e. business class, first class)? It means more and more privacy the higher you go right? And, well, can you agree that you have a lot of privacy when you got the whole row all to yourself? I can!!
Airbus from Europe Boeing from America I’m European, i will go with A380 always! because as an European, this is our style and flavor! Just like an European would always prefer Mercedes or BMW over Chevrolet or Ford!
Question is: Which one is the better cargo plane. The 747 has it's cockpit perched up especially for that. Being a better cargo plane gives it better resale value. Ever since ETOPS (and 2 engined planes increasing their range), hub&spoke is phasing out. This is a nail in the coffin for every 4 engined wide body passenger liner. Most airports can accommodate a 747, but not the bigger A380. (747's have been around for almost half a century, and are abundant...) Besides, A350's and 787's beat both these large planes hands down in economy. Speed is the same, since all liners hug the sound barrier: The only thing making passengers travel faster, is increasing the frequency of flights and going point to point. Definitely A380. It can carry more people, it's actually faster (1020 km/h, not 903) and way more luxurious. Only way in which the Boeing is better is the outside look.

A380 economy class is the worst, a380 is only good at business and first class I think it’s because a380 is too big and when it’s economy class with full of passengers it’s just uncomfortable for me
@@77l96 Emirates did order a lot of them and they canceled some of them but the orders did not off set the development cost, the a380 it is still a net loss and it is still a canceled aircraft, with a production pull planed for 2021. To put that in perspective, since 2005 239 a380s have been built, it will be canceled in 2 years, since 1969 1,556 747's have been built and the line has not been canceled. The plane was a failure, without the order from Emirates it would have been a colossal failure.
You didn't identify if the A-380 was more friendly to our environment. I love both planes and I would love to fly on both planes sometime in the nearest future. I love the Boeing 747-81 especially for the fact that it reduces carbon emission in this era where man is threatened by climate change. I would love the A-380 even more only if such scientific measures can be taken on that fleet as that of the Boeing 747-81.
for the environnement its better to fly one Airbus A380,than two boieng 747,what I mean by that is that theA380 as a double deck that logictly mean that the airplane can carry the double amount of passenger and even more the A380 is wider that the boieng 747
The double deck iconic Planes are coming to the end very soon because they are retiring unless COMAC Can Manufacture A Double deck Plane so, If lucky enough to take the double deck Planes or Fly Them, make sure to treasure them before they gone for good.
A380 is far more comfortable than the Boeing 747 especially in the economy class. In terms of economy class comfort, the closest was the 9 abreast B777s but most have gone to 10 abreast now which is unfortunate.

So the A380 has RR engines ? Then why did one do a flyover at the GE jet engine plant in Cincinnati the year it was to go into service ? We were told it had GE 90 ENGINES !
Definitely A380. It can carry more people, it's actually faster (1020 km/h, not 903) and way more luxurious. Only way in which the Boeing is better is the outside look.
The Shape of B747 looks strong like a man and A380 looks like an old lady ;)
The shape of A380 looks storng like a man and B747 looks like an old lady ;)
No Boeing 747 look like a handsome dude
And a380 also look like a handsome (fat) dude
@@putt3170 Yes Boeing 747 look like a handsome (fat) dude
And a380 also look like a handsome dude
Lol
@@HeadlessBaconYT let just say they both fat compare to 350 or 777, etc
Boeing 747, solid rock for a long time !!
The Airbus has the technical advantage but man the old 747 is a way more beautiful aircraft , absolutely stunning , who else agrees??
A380 forever (I am a airbus fan)
The better plane is the one that is not getting canceled in 2021.
Airbus A380
Love from Bangladesh.
A380🎉❤
I like both of these planes
I wish all states have only Airbus A380
Both are the best
That's a silly comment
Airbus A380 why? It’s because of the First Class suite. So fancy and nice.
BUSINESS & first class LOUNGE on the airbus A380
Airbus 380 😍😘😍😘
I love both they look absolutely stunning but.. I'm a Boeing guy, I choose the 747-8. I still love the A380 though.
a380 is a pain in ass for airlines tho
No one can take 747's place!
747-8 it’s the queen of the skies ✈️
Antonov-God
A380-King
747-8i-Queen(best)
787-Princess
A350-Prince
A321 hacker
737 pro
A320 noob
A350-prince(better)
B777 the strength
Cesna 173 the goat
I hate the fact that 747 does not go to America to Dubai and I need to go to Dubai to get to India my home country so airbus for life.
They should add a airplane with on floor but on one side it is cargo and on the other side it is business class only
A270
A380 is an Aircraft that is has NEVER CRASHED anytime anywhere. Where as, The B747 has had A VERY BAD TRACK RECORD of close calls and crashes. In Conclusion, I go with the A380. I love the A1 Though. (I am English)(+I am an Aviation Expert).
Emily Jones dumb.....give the 380 50 years of service and check back.
Idk but why do u have to say ur an aviation expert, u know every avgeek expert they respect Boeing 747 and love it, 747 is a legend even tho I like airbus more so I dont think ur a real aviation expert if u didn’t like the Boeing 747 gotta respect the queen of the skies man
I like a380
My favorite A380 because theres a lot of sits than the B747, 2 decker and has good length.
@@77l96 but a380 Is bigger
@@77l96 a380 500 passenger in 4 class and 800 passenger in 1 class.
B547 450
A380 economy class is the worst, a380 is only good at business and first class I think it’s because a380 is too big and when it’s economy class with full of passengers it’s just uncomfortable for me
Both are so amazing. A380 is big comfortable, and quiet... but look at the 747! Jumbo is always the best. Queen of the skies! A380 is a princess. ;)
B747 is my favourite
a380 is better because it beatiful
747 since the A380 has been retired already and was label an incredible bullishness failure.
I love A380 and B747.
B747
The double deck iconic Planes are coming to the end very soon because they are retiring unless COMAC Can Manufacture A Double deck Plane so, If lucky enough to take the double deck Planes or Fly Them, make sure to treasure them before they gone for good.
But i like airbus a380
TNT_1 you right
I think i like the Boeing 747-81
Flew in 747 400 in 1997 very Nice flight from BKK to LDN
Ian Rees do you see we care?😐
Eddy Rawady I care....and you obviously did if you responded dumbass 😂
@@camerongrant317 lol u just rekt Eddy rawady
B747-8 is my favourite plane in the world
Night Striker747 same
A380 is far more comfortable than the Boeing 747 especially in the economy class. In terms of economy class comfort, the closest was the 9 abreast B777s but most have gone to 10 abreast now which is unfortunate.
747 (But I like the -400 better than the -8)
Why
@@eldrickdigal3446 The -8 was a failure, unlike the -400
747-100😍
747-8 is the best plane
My farvet plane air bus aeroplane 380 place 🎓🎓⏰⏰😎
747-8 obviously because of its design and shape🛫🛫🛫
Just look at the wings of A380 , itis just like an Eagle. What a beauty .
yes the A380 wings are real beauty and so powerfull that the airplane can glide if it run out of fuel
