The stamina reminds me of The Evil Within where you run for 3 seconds, then die from exhaustion.
Yep, it's the only reason I beat it once and never went back. I hate stamina systems that are to punishing.
@Solid Snake I tried to get into it but the controls and the stamina system ruined it for me. I started playing the 2nd one and it seems better so far.
@Tony Soprano the second one really gave you a better stamina system, especially once you upgrade it to max. Good luck with the game. I hope you enjoy it more.
@@tonysoprano4587i watched my friend play the first. Managed to do some parts for him but never played it myself. Got the 2nd one on sale and beat it , really enjoyed it especially with the first person update. Just beat it again the other day for one trophy. Had to reload a save cause i diddnt kill the boss with fire
I don’t mind a stamina system but this one is just so punishing. It ruins the flow of the game.

Alien that can die from physical damage, flying around in a brightly lit spaceship 40 feet above the ground...if these weren't the most unarmed farmers in American history this alien attack would be over in about 20 minutes.
Hearing the same 3 yells every time you take damage really ramps up the corn factor

Compared to the demo, and I may be alone, but the controls seem really less polished overall. There is so much potential here that is lost at this point more than likely.

Got some news for you. He was. For a couple minutes at first. The rest 3 hours and a half were agony for him and ended up hating the game.
Just a heads up, this probably isn't the horror game you thought you played, the Demo that you remember was most likely 'They are Here' since a lot of people have made mistaken it for this game's Demo, similiar in visual style but that's about where the things they have in common end. They are Here is STILL in development, surprisingly, so at least we can be hyped for that.

Yeah, there are very few games that have gone from ''I'm interested'' to ''oh no...'' so quickly for me. Swing and a miss for Greyhill from me I think.

I can't be the only one looking for this apparent night-and-day difference demo. So far it seems like everyone has been gaslit into thinking this was something more than a game heavily inspired by signs and b-movies, at this point, I'm thinking people mistook this for "they are here: alien abduction horror" demos full release
Each year-old demo footage I see has the same goofy dialogue and honestly funny characters like who looked at the tinfoil hat man with his milky eye and thought it was going to be super spooky. Or Brandon, who is the embodiment of the kkona emote
I will be buying it when it releases tomorrow because I personally enjoy how stupid and funny many parts are, though there are problems that should be fixed like dialogue overlapping and more options for audio other than subtitles. Also when you're trying to find Rachel in the cornfield, the trigger for her shouldn't be so small for that large an area.

Seems like they made the stamina take so long just so there would be at least some degree of threat from those pathetic little aliens. Really bad game design.
That and to pad out the game length time which is just extremely disingenuous.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the low stamina was the devs trying to make sure you can't finish the game fast enough to get a refund.
This is one of those so bad it's good cult phenomena we're going to be talking about in ten years, isn't it?

Good god. The mixing is hurtful to my ears. There’s so much going on the beginning. They need to go back to the drawing board with pacing. Developers seem to forget a lot of times horror can be slow to build tension. The release could be a well-placed jump scare, but they need to take their time. Not a bad concept.

The game would’ve been more fun if they reduce the melee cooldown. It wouldn’t be scary anymore, but at least bashing and bullying aliens would be a bit funny. Heck, coulda turn it into Action RPG game even by adding swords and sh*t, just make it fun at least.

Watched Hollow play this. His criticisms while playing r great. So many times when he tried to ropa dope aliens in a house u find out its broken. Alien goes 1 way around the table so he goes the other. Alien teleports him through furniture and walls when in proximity. Trash game
