You are doing to us Piedmontese such an undeserved honour, by dedicating this much talent, time, commitment and hard work, at mastering such crafts that are entirely lost nowadays... also, you have a great eye at spotting what is faithful to the original, and what is a modern sketchy evolution of it. People in the region haven't showed this care towards their own arts and crafts for decades. Thank you so much, you are doing these sleepy mountains good, you're bringing them back to life. Another AWEsome video! Thanks for sharing your books! It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, so Italian language comes later? Lol😊 I appreciate your love and passion for nature’s beauty and respect for preserving history. Am grateful for all that I learn from you! Peace & safety in all you do👍🏻🙏🏻👍🏻

Does anyone else get a pang of sadness as the soft music slowly enters, our signal that the end is approaching? Amazing edit of the sun fading and the lights coming on at your workspace! Till next week…
Never before have I seen a DIY youtube site with so much artistry. From the woodwork to painting pictures, and all the time providing what I call "scenic over-tilt" of the beautiful Italian Alps. The camera work like all the rest is again artistry on display. Thank you !
Hi Martijn, I am an Iranian refugee currently writing to you from Australia, I wanted to Thank you for your effort and hard work in posting these videos, I watch them all and for the entirety of every episode I feel I am you, I live there and do what you do, so literally you are someones dream. I have a similar background to you, a photographer, mountaineer, gypsy, and traveler. what you are doing is so inspiring, particularly for a refugee like me whose dream is to do what you are doing. I have a background in the building too, I helped to build a mountain shelter above 4000m, so I know how hard is to do this, particularly mainly single-handedly. I just wanted to thank you for sharing your experience and your life with us, That you have inspired a refugee far from home and family, and you have given me such hope to keep dreaming and to feel I'm not alone. please keep up the amazing work you are doing and keep inviting us to your Nirvana a Parsi/Persian word that means Heaven... :)
@@elizabethjones5041 Elizabeth I've been in Australia since 1968 I am now 62 years old. I refuse to label myself as an Australian, culturally I am, however, I am of English, Scottish and Italian heritage. I prefer to label myself as an Earthling who lives in the Oceanic region of the world.
@@itstackyandtawdrytime i have been an Australian since 1956 and proud to be one. You are an ungrateful bigot who does not recognise what this country has done for you. I am so grateful for everything we have been given, but mostly the privilege of joining this great country. I am an Aussie, thank God.
I love winter too! I live in Minnesota. I Love the snow on the cornfields. Acres & Acres of pristine whiteness. The frozen branches glittering as the sun comes up! I hold my breathe, it is so thrilling. Since my husband died 5years ago. I haven’t used our lovely wood burning stove. He loved bringing in the wood, stacking it correctly, telling me about how to build the fire. He taught me over & over again how to build the fire. He & my Son built the fireplace & inserted the Liner. He wanted to get the very safest & cleanest. He also loved cutting the logs. I loved hearing them get split, seeing him bring in those logs & the scent of that first fire. But it’s not the same without him. I expect I’ll cry. His clothes smell of smoke, still. He loved cross country skiing ,the entire circumference of our lake. Once Bosley, the large fluffy & white Semoyan - American Eskimo dog would run after him. The small birds, squirrels? Rabbits, cats, whatever else that leaves footprints across our yard. We have a Sailboat right outside our basement bedroom window. I’ve loved reminiscing to you. Thank you!

I watched primative technology while I was receiving chemo, it was relaxing and enjoyable to watch. I'm sure Martijn has the same effect. Prayers for your mom, stay strong!
I'm sorry about your Mum. I have already lost my parents and I know there is life after this. They're in a greater reality than we are, in this one here. I know it. I have got many experiences about that, too. For this reason I would highly recommend you to read about clinical death experiences. I also translated a book by dr Pim Van Lommel - I have just realised that he's also Dutch as Martijn..., who is a great expert on it. I can guarantee you a very calming effect, too, they are all true experiences. It helped me a lot, too. Life never ends...
Besides your hard work, I have to acknowledge the natural sound, sound mixing, music choice and pace of your videos. They are so relaxing. 🙏🏽 God bless.
Yes! Today was a gift in Illinois as the temps soared to 48. I put on my sandals and cleaned up the garden all afternoon. Our worst winter is most likely yet to be..
Dear Martino, sometimes the life you live seems to me like that of a sailor whose boat ran aground on a beach from which a sea of beauty can be seen. I understand that this life is very hard and tiring and that's why I admire you. Thank you always that you make us part of your journey.
Just aiming for an old farm in the Austrian Alps - you are my role model. So much to learn, so beautiful to pay this deep respect to nature and those buildings vibrating from silence and history. Thank you for all your inspiration !
That's so funny to find you here Heinz! I 100% agree with you, it's so inspiring looking at what Martjin is doing, I'm also aiming for something similar!
Hello Heinz, this is also my dream. As a german (in NRW) i don't have any idea how much this could cost in austria at minimum. I have strong connection to Kärnten, but don't want to spent more than 100k-200k Euro for a small farm house including some land.
I wish for the majority of YOUNG PEOPLE to follow Martin as a man and to learn from his methods of working, whatever craft. He IS a mentor. I allow myself to urge young people to LEARN THE RIGHT WAY FROM THE RIGHT PERSON. In this channel you need to search no more: MARTIN is to be listened to. At 85 and having worked very hard I KNOW. Cheers to all and thank you to present us with such natural sites and scenes Martin/ Cheers sincerely
Just been diagnosed with a serious autoimmune disease, this time spent in your presence fills my soul with Gods beauty and Grace. Blessings on you for sharing all your beauty with us every week. So much love from Ottawa Canada 🇨🇦🥰👵🐶
I too have an autoimmune disease & I find watching these videos calms my anxiety from thinking about myself and what’s wrong with me to total tranquility for this hour. Love & best wishes to you going forward ❤
There are no adjectives to describe the magnificence of your surroundings. Your serene spirit, while diligently working to restore a portion of them, forms a perfect nucleus. Thank you for providing your viewers a few minutes of utter peace and tranquility on so many levels🥰
This channel is areal gem in RUclips. His videos are really entertaining and super relaxing. I'm totally vested to finish watching this man journey to complete the property and see the white cloth dinner in the last episode.
a Swiss living in Los Angeles, for a long time now, and aching to get back to the alps for some time now. You just made my day showing me how much you pay attention to detail. It took me a while to figure out, why would you go through all this labor? until i finally realized how thorough you are! THANK YOU. you actually sparked a flame back to life on my end. much appreciated.
Hi Martijn, You might like to consider a chain instead of a downpipe for water exiting from the gutters. Pipes, as you know freeze up in your situation and maybe burst the downpipe. Ice will just cling to the chain and gradually disappear when temperature moves up. Also, chain a lot easier to get a connection to your wooden gutters than a downpipe. This is a well tried method in ski resorts for instance, Best wishes, David
That sounds like a good idea, and would look a little quirky too. I understand Martijn is trying to keep the cabins as authentic as possible so may not want this, but it sounds vey practical to me. He is also tied by planning permissions as to what he can and can't do to the cabins, they're supposed to look no different to how they were built. I suspect that when the inspectors look at Martijns handiwork on these buildings they will be thrilled to see what he has done. I've never seen anyone go to such pains to make something practical and efficient and yet so beautiful at the same time. Bravo Martijn..
I’m constantly awestruck at your seemingly completely sanguine acceptance and understanding of living your life in such challenging circumstances. I watch each absorbing video in mental slow-motion, finding words completely unnecessary. You know Martijn, your mammoth efforts to create a harmonious home in the mountains are giving us mesmerised faithful followers nature-therapy of the most wonderful kind, for which I thank you. The little chuckle you made when showing us the side effects of altitude winter-camping coffee making summed it up perfectly. Thank you so much 😊

Your ability to remain focused on your work...in such harsh weather conditions, is amazing! The gutters and brackets are beautiful and a credit to you. Your Grandad would have been proud to see the outcome of your achievements.
Thank you for the serene joy you bring to our lives. It makes me want to be a drone, not the crone that I am. Will you be planting a garden? Are you planning a housewarming party? No, thousands of your YT viewers showing up in the Piedmont would probably ruin the peaceful atmosphere. Have a virtual party? We all want to celebrate you and your mad skills! I love when your Italian viewers call you ‘Martino’. It fits somehow. Very neighborly. Mille grazie.

This sums up why I come back week after week. I have watched nearly every video from the bike trips to today. Your long journey is inspiring, calming and directly connects the viewer to nature. The camera work tells your story, leaving its mark on how one man has dedicated himself to making a profound impact in the world.
Martijn, hello. It was very nice to hear that you ordered a chisel from Ukraine))) I'm from Ukraine, I follow your project. I respect you very much for the work you do. I have a dream to drive across Europe after the end of the war. I would also like to visit you, because many points of my future route have already accumulated. I will be leaving, I will write to you, maybe you can order something else)))
It’s such a pleasure to watch a true craftsman at work. When I was a child I got a watch my father who pretty much knew most of the trades and was a master carpenter. I got to pull the chalk line taut for him to snap. Now over 60 years later I get to see your craftsmanship. I hope you have a wonderful and long life in that spectacular location. The anticipation of warmer weather and the beginning of the inside work, hopefully, is killing me.
Dear Martin, I cannot say anything more than all of the amazing comments from your supporters. Just this. A difference to be a difference must make a difference. You are the core of difference with excellence. Thank you for your continued inspiration and dedication. I, like all the other subscribers, wait with excitement for each video of your gentle life. Wow!
Such a great job on the gutters and gutter outlets for the rain water , true craftmanship ! . How you remain focused on your work and daily tasks at this time of year is amazing . Do you still hear the wolves ? , or see any other wildlife this time of year .
Thank you again and again Martijn! You bring a sense of grace and serenity to this artist. Bless you for your care and attention to traditional regional crafts. ❤❤❤❤❤
It’s been a while since I’ve seen Martijn visit “his rock.” I know he finds much solace in that rock, that there’s still life out there, that he’s not alone! Good morning, Martijn! Good morning, Fr Johannes! Greetings from Southern California, USA. -Maria Upland, CA
Well, your much hardier than I.....I certainly can relate to your experiences living in the beautiful mountains of Alaska and often 40 below with impressive winds howling though the trees surrounding my home and the beautiful view I have of the Chugach moutnain ranch that surrounds me. Not much sunshine to sit and gaze at the beauty of nature. In winters there isabout 4 hours of daylight, but the nights are magical, literally. If one can imagine the beauty of the Aurora Borealis. Sitting quiety outside in the silence of the night, I have heard the sounds they emit. Fascinating! My home is 40 miles north of Anchorage where my job was with the only communications company that keeps Alaskans capable of it's strong people still able to contact the people in the lower 48. Those who don't understand and that is most people you left behind in another world, are left thinking you have lost your mind, I remember my father saying that to me as I walked out of their big luxury home, nothing I'd ever desired and he was upset with me, wondering who would even want to live in such an isolated place that progress has yet to interrupt the natural beauty surrounding me., while my thoughts are how unfortunate busy lives and the fast pace of living in the lower 48 can handle all the noise and traffic...well, you get the picture. I saw in his eyes, his concern was for his favorite grandson leaving, and the little girl he bounced on his lap without a dad of their own , I did understand the worry I saw in his eyes as I walked towards the door, I saw the tears begin to form. He never said good bye to me, I understood, but it was time to be strong and test my own steal as a human being, obviously nothing like your self test. We all have are limits, and mine was when I decided to have children. But this trip was to also teach them what life was really like in a land less tame, and full of nature missing now in most states. Even those states who did have wild life the restrictions were there, in Alaska on your own land you hunt or if you need a permit is uncomplicated. Alaskans however have great respect for the animals that feed their families and do not tolerate an animal being wasted for a trophy kill. My life was always fun and simple. I was a California beach girl, who loved riding horse back in the hills above my parents home...or riding my bike to the nearest creek where a small section was deep enough to swim or diveinto the water ot of a tire tube hung from a strong branch and hung over the creek to prevent those brave enough to swing out and drop down from cracking our heads on. I grew up in a beautiful place and how wise my parents were to move from San Francisco area to this small beautful valley of 3,000 people. Both are uncomparable, that is Alaska being now my home I often looked back at what brought me to this beautiful pace still for the most part was relatively still the same as it was 22 years ago when I loaded up my Blazer and pulling an Airstream trailer stuffing all I could along with two small children ....heading off for the last frontier. I was now a single young mother with no support, if I was going to make the change to believe I can do anything if I believe in myself and thankfully my two little guys were absolutely joyful when we got to the Canadian border and I pulled over and said, Okay guys this is now up to you. Shall we turn around and go back, or should we go forward and believe we are heading into a new adventure..They obviously said "lets go to Alaska" Okay, if they were brave then I had to be as well. I had no idea what a great choice Ithey made to leave all that I knew behind and had it not been for wanting my two little guys (adults now) to experience nature and a taste of the freedom we'd see in the wild life and most of all fresh air and beautiful streams and water ways and the magic of nature...I'd still be right in the same town and stuck. So each time you sit and gaze out at the beautiful mountains dusted in snow, or the night stars and the sounds of pure silence what kind of inner joy brings out the joys you feel. I am so enchanted by your building projects and the gutter you fashioned from the beautiful logs you bought and now placed one of the rock houses is just perfect, the workmanship is beautifully done...and sitting looking out feeling the peace you do sipping hot coffee and looking at those lovely snow dusted mountains *dusted does not mean depth of the snow more descriptive of the beauty people see. Your a hearty soul, a true craftsman and I very much hope that each person who enjoys your site here, have also be able to view your full documentary on your bike journey of two years. My gosh, your dedication is above anything I've ever seen to endure such an adventure as the bike trip, with so many incredible views and people you met and weather conditions ... you have such a taste for life. Then to document so much of that journey is admirable. It truly is uplifting watch. You have open a whole new view I have been able to see through your adventure that I'd never even thought of. I don't know how you documented it all so well under some of the worst conditions you experienced but very glad you did. Now to see you bring the two rock buildings back to life and with that perfect view, I look forward to each new post....just to see what your experiencing...today the wood hand crafted gutters was a real delight. My adventures have come to a bit of a standstill, but only momentarily, instead of my zest for travel I sit and go through my challege with cancer, but through your post I feel so alive again and so full of happiness, that it brings more then a few smiles to my face when I get notice you have a new post. No pressure, eh? lol.... I'll be alright, I'm just on a bit of a detour at the moment....and in my head I've got my new adventure planned. although my traveling pal Sophie has gone to where all good dogs spirits go... I have a new pal Kenai, a husky who loves to get in the truck and GO. We have also a nutty rescue pup named Mikey who seems to be a bit more of a clown then a serious traaveler, but we tolerate his crazy and a bit goof ball behavior. Found him in a road side rest garbage can, barely alive. Oh he's full of life now, sometimes a bit to much. But Kenai adores him and that's his "bro" so he stayed and became a part of our travels. I'm hoping will enjoy traveling as much as my Sophie did. I can't thank you enough for all the excellent post you do, they are simply feeding my soul while I am on a bit of a detour. I can't wait for spring, and your garden, and the progress you will make this next building season. I have a very good feeling that by this time next year I will be admiring the interior of your cabin and the luxury of an indoor bathroom and kitchen. Your first Christmas in your mountain home. So glad your back and posting again... it empowers me to get well and don't let anything dampen my belief that soon I to will be on my way exploring some new direction I'm led. Thanks, Martijn for giving me the will to want to get up and out there in life again. I truly hope you don't mind such a long post Martijn, but I think you should know how wonderful your post does effect and inspire some followers, ONE for sure. ME and at almost 80 I am ltold I am like the energizer bunny, I keep on ticking. Thanks, Martijn for being so intersting and showing us the initmacy of your current adventure. We all recognize your giving us a small piece of your private self when you share your life with us. For now, I look forward to more post...they encourage me to keep on tickin'. :) Please forgive any typo's!
I’m happy you’re back from your Mexican holidays and moving on with your daily work routine. As for many of us followers, your weekly drop of tranquility and focus on simpliest tasks is a much appreciated healing. Stay fafe and in good health
My family lived like that for many years. We moved and moved. We survived the harsh winters and summers. It didn't seem hard because of my father. We started gathering firewood in the middle of summer to get ready for the winter. We were never cold. We kept a 55 gallon of water in the tent. We kept an eye on it. Then off to the windmill to get our water in a covered wagon. This I did with my daddy. Then filled the barrel by hand using buckets. Bath night every one took baths in a tub. Taking turns warming up the water in buckets. We would have a load of water for baths and washing clothes. I had to wash my clothes by hand, no questions no whining. Just do my task. Mind you we didn't have a vehicle at all. Just horse and wagon. God bless Martin
I'm in awe with the resilience of your character, I admire how you adapt, no matter how difficult the situation. You inspire me to enjoy and appreciate the moments, because next year will be different. Amazing work you are doing in spite of the cold. 🥰👍❤
Wonderful again Martijn. I don’t think I will ever get tired of your videos neither you. You are part of my life now. Thank you so much, for your creativity and artistry.
Majestic, beauty in nature, and then there is your awe inspiring work, another thing of beauty. Your work ethic speaks for itself. I easily see why your videos are popular. So nice to watch. Thank you.
Hello Martijn. Thank you the quietness with which you travel through this world. In a world of noise and entertainment you're a calm, steady breath. I wanted to offer you a tiny bit of advice if I may. Coffee grounds are one of the best things you can scatter over your vegetable garden (when the growing season starts up again). High nitrogen content which produces strong growth, especially in leafy crops (salad leaves, spinach, Kale, etc). Best wishes.
Martijn, you should keep your drinking water in the refrigerator during the winter if you have the space. Most refrigerators are set around 2.7 Celsius, so your water won't freeze.
I have an 86 year old friend in WA state who has been working on his house in the woods for 30 years. You two are kindred spirits and inspire me in my building.
the Italian mountains are a paradise obviously said by an Italian like me it may seem obvious but I really invite you to go there to admire the magnificence

I can almost feel the joy of sitting quietly on a chair with cup of warm coffee in your hand, surrounded by the countryside that finds itself under a duvet of a fluffy white snow blanket. Not withstanding the inconveniences of frost etc at this stage of the build, it's clear life can be lived and enjoyed simpler. Keer r going Martin. Thanks
The mountains are so majestic in the background. The rain gutters are so splendid how you made them and how they look. They make your cabin look so finished and how they will work is so fascinating. You are a very talented man. ❤❤❤
The landscape looks so pristine and bright in the snow. Your filming, as ever, is superb. Loved hearing the crunch of snow underfoot as you're working.
Hello Martijn. So nice to have you back on the mountain after your winter break. I marvel as I watch you work with your dedication to detail and authenticity. Then you pause and take time to enjoy and appreciate your natural surroundings and invite your viewers to do the same. Stay warm. Spring will be here soon.
From the beginning to the end, the music 🎶, the view, the mountains cover with snow ❄️ the trees 🌳 dresses 👗 in white knowing the 🌞 and the wind will embrace it all with out any fear, like you do every day. Beautiful. Thank for sharing it 🙏.
Started watching your video's the other week, looks such a lovely peaceful place. I love the wood gutters they look amazing 😊 following your progress from New Zealand 😊
What an incredible acknowledgment from a local Simon, below. A recognition of true commitment and integrity in what you have undertaken in this project.
I’m at the moment in my house in the alps near Lago Maggiore in Lombardia. I’m enjoying the beautiful weather as you do. I have however only less then a week left. Then I go back to the Philippines 🇵🇭 where we’re helping abused youths. Till my next time in Italy 🇮🇹!😊
Just a heads up Martijn - it looks like there are scammers in the comments who are pretending to be you replying to other users, probably trying to get them to send money. Usually the scammers reply to other comments so the replies won't show up in your alerts. That aside, keep going! Winter can be tough but I admire your commitment to keep at it even during the harder parts of the season. I guess it helps you understand better what your building may need in the future as well, living through all seasons. Northern stone buildings are very different from what we have in the South, although near Isernia some of the buildings look similar to yours since the limestone there forms sheets and fractures naturally in a similar way as your stone (sheet stone roofing is common there as well). Our area is harder limestone so the walls are built out of more cubic shaped rock. Best wishes for the end of winter and coming spring.
Thank you. I was sitting in the parking lot of the hospital praying and crying. I've been here three days with my sick daughter. Your notification came and it made my day. Thank you
The snow covered mountains and trees are so beautiful. Martijn, the gutters are truly a work of art. Thank you for sharing your world with us. It’s so relaxing and peaceful to watch, even though you are working so hard, in the freezing cold weather.
I keep thinking when you've finished you should rebuild the scaffolding on the north end of the building out of wood and stone.. you got yourself a balcony 🤗
Wow just scrolling though my notification on utube and up popped on of my favourite channel, thank you. It's just after 10pm here in Australia and needing to watch something to wind down with and seeing all the beautiful scenery here, yes your videos do really make my night.
I love how you(Martijn) are adapting to all changes(weather mostly) and still manage to work on something(clearing snow from Solar panels, walkways and such, gutters and gutter supports etc) and most of all enjoying where you are(snow on the mountains and everywhere) and nature’s beauty!
I've questioned the wisdom of the wooden gutters, just from the ridiculous hours in labor--but I see them installed and shut up! Wisdom out the window for beauty, every time!! And of course I suppose it has a lot to do with staying in the period. Thanks for all the hard work you are willing to do
I am as usual enjoying watching you work with such care and dedication. Your calmness is relaxing to say the least. I wish spring would come sooner than later!
I think there should be a small plaque that says "Martjin's Rock" on that cliff that you love so much! It would be hard to acclimatize again after being in Mexico, 3 weeks of daily life at the cabin give daily prep for needs - now you are just a little softer from the sun and fun and the winter has bitten in. So glad you have the B&B for relaxing, recharging and necessities. I've a lot more video's to catch up on, I saved them for today, Christmas Eve. The gutters are absolutely beautiful and worth every minute you have spent on them.
All that blue light, so bright, so beautiful and so cold! Watching you work in the snow reminds me of Krieghoff's winter landscape paintings. Perhaps keeping the kitchen supplies in your fridge, whether or not it is plugged in, will prevent them from freezing.
Mr. Martijin says there are issues in winter but virtually watching, the snow looks so pretty in their pure, white form. Anyway, I really like the way he laughs whenever there are issue such as frozen everything,😅😊😍. It reminds me that life is interesting in whatever if offers. Those mountains are really gorgeous! Imagine being always near it!
I discovered you a year or so ago. Ever since you decided to settle where you are. I love all you are doing and eagerly await your next video every week. The eavestrough project, what can I say?? Beautiful ❤. See you next time.
Hi Martijin 👋 I'm new to your channel and finding your videos so inspiring. It's such a beautiful place where you live. I understand why you love it so much. "Next week its going to be sunny ☀️😎 and above zero"....Perfect 😅
Good morning , Martijn. I look forward to your videos on a Monday. Today you drone footage of the mountains was breath taking. I wondered how it must feel when you walked out on that huge rock surveying the mountains around you. I wondered if the joy you feel is beyond what you imagined when you first arrived at this place. I also wondered if this what gives impetus to your craftsmanship and your art. Thank you for allowing your audience to be part of your life. I am so glad you are taking care of yourself by staying in the Airbnb. Go well. ❤
Chapeau Martijn for transporting me to my happy place again. This weeks' video must be the best one so far. Your attention to detail and perfectly composed cinematography is beautiful. Your commentary is also very enjoyable.
loved the brushing teeth in the snow =)...definitely never done that, but could. interesting about how a few degrees multiply the problems. thanks for sharing things i wouldn't have thought of. in your next Q&A will you please discuss what has been your favorite thing to do and also your least favorite thing - and why? does a winter project make it less enjoyable - have you thought about that? if you were to plan again, would you do certain projects in the summer vs. winter?
Your channel is in a league of its own. I higher respect your dedication, your work ethics, willingness to learn , respecting the area you now live in and so much more. Thank you for sharing all this beauty.
Another “pause” in time as you invite us into your particular corner of our world. It is as if we drift back into a simpler time, when the season dictates what jobs you can or can’t do. Even the simplest of tasks such as making a cup of coffee become a major undertaking when the weather takes charge of your water supply! There is a beauty in the quiet and stillness that you invite us to witness. A simple beauty that we see through your eyes. Where normally the snow is a burden as it impacts our lives, you show us the beauty and calmness that it can also bring into our all too busy lives. It as if we are given time to take a deep breath, to recharge our busy lives by viewing the much simpler world you have stepped into. I wonder just how well we could cope with the solitude and silence the majesty and beauty that enrobes your world. A world where time is dictated by the weather, not by the urgency of others. Would we take that time and notice our surroundings, to realise just what a small part we have to play in the grand scheme of things.
"..I am enjoying myself now...." I agree, to much comfort for too long is not necessarily a great thing... it tends to disconnect me and makes it hard for me to pay attention... Thank you for all the really, awesome videos!!
Found your Cabins on Google Earth, but only after I used weaponsgrade concentration and lots of hours of search. Will obviously never tell anyone where it is, because I want you to continue forever, and never get bothered by anyone (btw I doubt anyone will find it - it was tricky as hell). Thanks for the mental warmth and silence you provide me with. What a view, what a sight, and what efforts you put into this. Godspeed, may you find what you're looking for aswell.

That honor is quite much deserved. Those lands have seen great things happen. If current inhabitants don't remember that, too bad for them.

Yes, we need this dose of peace and tranquility really!!!
Does anyone else get a pang of sadness as the soft music slowly enters, our signal that the end is approaching?
Amazing edit of the sun fading and the lights coming on at your workspace! Till next week…
yup
Indeed, I do!
OMG yes, I do! The 45 minutes just fly by.
M surprised that mnot the only one
That feels sad when the video is about to end
I try to watch each episode over 3 or 4 days so I can extend the experience.
I hope you are now free and have a permanent visa. May our country treat you with kindness now. 🙏
That was nice to read. I wish your dreams will get hands and feets. Blessings to you!
Stop thinking of yourself as a refugee and start thinking of yourself as an Australian!

Thank you!

The birds chirping made me smile. I live in Pennsylvania and when you hear the birds chirping in winter, it’s a sure sign that spring is on the way. 🪺
Yes! Today was a gift in Illinois as the temps soared to 48. I put on my sandals and cleaned up the garden all afternoon. Our worst winter is most likely yet to be..
Sure ads to the beauty and serenity doesn't it..sounds of nature and a man with inner peace. Lots to be thankful for Martin's posts.
It would be so cool to be able to go back 1,000 years and see how the locals lived then...

Oh yes, the Waldenses Protestants enjoyed the scenery and solitude of the Italian Alps, until it was taken away from them, around 1689.

Yes, there are scammers replying on your followers comments. I've saw a lot of them today. They do this to a lot of utube commentators.

Thanks for all the hard work you are willing to do
honestly jealous of that amazing snow lol, it looks beyond peaceful as always in literally every season, that's such a magnificent place to live

I was thinking the same thing about keeping some food items in the fridge.
Seems like it would work. Worth a try.

Good morning , Martijn. I look forward to your videos on a Monday. Today you drone footage of the mountains was breath taking. loved the brushing teeth in the snow =)...definitely never done that, but could. interesting about how a few degrees multiply the problems. thanks for sharing things i wouldn't have thought of. in your next Q&A will you please discuss what has been your favorite thing to do and also your least favorite thing - and why? does a winter project make it less enjoyable - have you thought about that? if you were to plan again, would you do certain projects in the summer vs. winter?
Your channel is in a league of its own. I higher respect your dedication, your work ethics, willingness to learn , respecting the area you now live in and so much more. Thank you for sharing all this beauty.
I must admit that your work has a positive influence on my Life, you bring calm and peace. Thank you.. as always.
Your skills are so unbelievable !!! I'm a grandmother in North Carolina and I'm in awe of what you can do !
So beautiful, it makes my heart ache. Between your aerial shots, the sunrise and the music. Happy Valentines Day!
thank you Martin for the beautiful morning. keep warm and happy with your life.
Loving these videos. Watching from Nottingham 🇬🇧 England 🏴
I love the aerial view at the end where I see the organic shapes created by your foot paths. Stunning views. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Your attention to detail is amazing. Been waiting for your videos in the new year...thank you for the most tranquil video on RUclips. Stay warm.
It is so beauyifull. I think for myself it would be easier to handle that cold than the pain in my heart.
Beautiful gutters, the Austrians lined their gutters with zinc which they fold over the edge, they won't last long otherwise
wow, the fascia, beams, brackets, and gutters look amazing against the stone!
"..I am enjoying myself now...." I agree, to much comfort for too long is not necessarily a great thing... it tends to disconnect me and makes it hard for me to pay attention... Thank you for all the really, awesome videos!!
Love the copper pipes. A time of peace, beauty and satisfaction shared. 🙂
Just show up in town and ask anyone.
@@DonAntoniodetucum er.....don't you need to know what town, first....!?
