I love the part near the end when they had you run through the streets/village...and people cheered for you...Rightfully so !...Congrats and Thanks the Video, and the new look Funky Monkey Tips
That was so cool. Never done anything like that. The village was cool there and the people were awesome. It was such a unique and awesome experience. And the new Funky Monkey layout was neat. A simple twist that changed it up just enough. Smart move on TM's part. We'd like to see more simple/cost effective changes or augmentations to more of our favorites at TM and Spartan as a matter of fact.
Another great video! I can't wait to get my season started on June 18 in eastern Ohio. I've got 8 races lined up this year through November in Northern IN. Maybe I'll get out to the east coast someday as well. Keep up the good work, fellas!
Very cool, have a good time out there in August. One of these days we need to get out there ourselves. We'll be on the East Coast for a bit this season, then hopefully heading to TX. Hope to see you out there one of these races!
Thank you! The pack is the Endurance Pack 2.0 Pack, by Orange Mud: amzn.to/3tskCp7 Seems like it is out of stock currently. They might have it on the Orange Mud site.
Good to see you! And we noticed that little block only when we got close to the obstacle. Nobody was using it so we said what the heck, let's try it. It made the obstacle way easier. It was still fun tho.
That was a weird one. This "obstacle" went down a steep hill. They attached ropes to the downslope for people to grab on to as they negotiated the hill. We skipped the ropes and just ran on down.
@@OCRKings I’ll be there! Racing age group in the morning, then watching my son run the 2 mile kids race, and then running again at 1 with my wife in open. Really hoping to finally get to meet you guys! You’ve been my main training go to videos since I started OCR and a huge reason for my love of this sport!
Wow, awesome! Regardless if we see each other or not, enjoy your day with your family, have fun together at the races!! That is really cool, and I hope everyone has a great time. And glad the videos help - AROO!
We went out right around 10AM. There were some big crowds and lines at obstacles, but we try to edit around those. Some of the spots we were moving at a good pace and there was nobody around us near the top of the mountain. In the shot of Funky Monkey and Mudderhorn, there are a good number of people around. That was indicative of the whole day over all.
Great question! No you shouldn't need to be able to swim for Tough Mudder. The water filled obstacles at this race were only deep enough to break your fall if you dropped off them. You could walk out of any of them if you are average height or taller. Also, at Tough Mudder, obstacle completion is not mandatory. If you are not feeling an obstacle, for safety or any reason, skip it. It's all good.
Me and my mate has just booked this for the 2nd of july. BUZZING! How long did it take you guys to finish it? Was you pushing yourselves or or just taking it easy?
Excellent, good luck and enjoy your Tough Mudder on the 2nd of July!! For us, we took our time, especially going up the mountain. At a moderate speed, and with waiting in some lines for obstacles, it took us just over 3 hours.
There was a lack of mud at this one. It was a really, really dry summer here. Everything was pretty dry and I think that contributed to the limited amount of mud.

It's definitely a good time!
I didn't know there were OCR races with 2 people. That's cool i may try that with my bf someday!
Excellent!
Love these videos! Can I ask what that brown canvas looking hydration pack is?

Did a tough mudder 15k in Tennessee today. The funky monkey didn't have the rope or bell. It was the same as last year. Doing the 10k tomorrow 😎💪🤙
That is awesome! Good luck tomorrow, be safe, and enjoy!
Same for the one in Sonoma this year - no changes
No changes to Funky Monkey? How about the rest of the event, anything new or modified?
You made all of that look so easy 😂😭😭😭😭
😊 thanks!
How did I miss that side block on Reach Around?! Also, so cool seeing ya’ll in person!
Good to see you! And we noticed that little block only when we got close to the obstacle. Nobody was using it so we said what the heck, let's try it. It made the obstacle way easier. It was still fun tho.
What was the obstacle in Absiel at around 7:55?
That was a weird one. This "obstacle" went down a steep hill. They attached ropes to the downslope for people to grab on to as they negotiated the hill. We skipped the ropes and just ran on down.
This makes me want to try a tough mudder. I’ve done many different OCR’s but never a tough mudder. Will you guys be racing bethel
Woods this weekend?
This was a fun one. The elevation added a challenge. It was a good time overall. We are booked for Bethel. Are you going??

Oh boy so excited! Did you guys run mid day? Where's all the people ? Not to crowded.

Looks like a blast. My first ocr for the season is sat after the next. At a ski lodge. Wild mnt. Only 5k but still up, down, up, down, up, down. 😲
@@harrygrimley4352 i'll be doing that one too.
@@dianacook1468 I'm going at 8. What's your time? Have you been training ?
Good luck to you both, have a great time and enjoy!
I see a yellow 4-6x headband there at the end. How many has Damer done?
Damer is up there in the 9+ category.
Aye If You Can Take Your Time While Going Through These Obstacles Sounds Like a Good Workout
Agreed, take your time and get a good workout
This looks like so much fun, until I think about the post race soreness!
Yeah man, we had bruises all over the place. Not sure where they even came from!
Do I need to know how to swim?

Nothing like the UK ones, not enough Mud😀
Very true. Sadly, it's been very dry here, a bit of drought and the water and mud situation have been lacking.
Where is the mud?
