Nakakaiyak, their business is all about family talaga, from the location, the recipes, the history, even their staff. Nothing says Filipino more than family!
The experience there is so good. The food, scenery, the enjoyment and satisfaction you get after. It was really hard to book a reservation too!! But it was worth the money and the time. The food was served with the smiles of the wai. My goodness, they even make a matching hot sauce for whatever empanada you choose. My parent’s personal favorite hot sauce is the Mango Habanero (made by them) which is given when you order it to be delivered. Most of their specials on the menu are even farm rescues!! I personally love the fig galettes. They are seasonal since it is hard to grow figs due to the heat. But in general, I would recommend trying to eat in Casa Luisa at least once.
Thank you for this feature! Aside from preserving food heritage, the chef is commendable for taking care of her employees, especially during this time. It is uplifting to know that the Filipino spirit of bayaninan could really be felt in this feature. This is the kind of business that we need to support. God bless you and your family chef! 💜
Erwan this content is genius! I have always wanted to be a baker or create something with my hands...dabbled here and there...this ignited that interest back to baking. Thank you!
The cinematography in all angles plus the music scoring is pure nice and class! Such a beautiful heart warming story. God bless the whole Casa Luisa family.
I've been part of that commissary kitchen (pantry) way back 2011 and I can attest how passionate really mam Jen is especially when it comes to creating new recipes. Am looking forward to visit Casa Luisa one of these days and try the best empanada.
For me, who loves cooking this vlog like documentary about food and their family's tradition is so lit!! Your contents are always informative and interesting at the same time! Kudos!!
I love this video! It felt like you're being transported back to the Filipino culture that we should always be proud of. Love, family and history says it all. Kudos to FEATR team!
With this direction, it seemed the channel became more inclusive and was able to locate nooks and crannies of food recipes and businesses in the country.
What an inspiration!!! .. It goes to show when you look deeper into things that are happening it becomes more of a blessing in disguise than a curse.. God is good.. Thanks for sharing the story Erwan!! God Bless!! Cheers!!! Stay safe and healthy.. 😊🙏💕
I was craving so much already in the intro because of the beautiful shots of the empanadas 😭😭😭 Hoping to be able to try this 😍😍😍 Got a bit distracted in the beginning because she sounds like Dimples 🤣 Love and power to Chef Jen, Casa Luisa and the whole FEATR Team 💙💙💙
Great story. I'm assuming with the use of butter that this is Spanish style empanadas, rather than the Filipino ones I taste in North America made with lard. I love all the creative non-Filipino dishes coming out of the Philippines.
Jen! Congratulations so proud of you dear. Your food is really so yummy, can’t say anything bad about it. I agree that your empanadas ARE the best!😍🎉❤️ keep up the good work and may He continue to bless you, your family & Casa Luisa!
I also started baking empanadas during the onset of the pandemic and it was a lot of work. As in. But we are happy that we are always sold out. But we stop baking. Maybe this coming christmas. Will bake again. Amazing content ❤️
Here we go again with the "city" and "province" misconception. Even provinces have cities in it, it's a mere political classification. So saying from the city to the province is erroneous. I often hear this among Manileños.

My empanadas are better than hers😂😂😂 but i love the collaboration between her & her staff-Good vibes & harmonious!

Ditto. Urban to rural is more of a definition to most of these things.
Bolzicos empanadas are the #1 in the Philippines
