So wonderful to hear your voice! I miss the blogging days. You have a beautiful functional kitchen. I am not in to stylised kitchens you see on social media that no one actual cooks in.
Thank you! I wish people didn't feel like they needed to spend thousands on their kitchens when alot of times they are fine. ❤️ I hope you are doing good!
That sweet shelf is just perfect. I am better than I was the last few years at putting the kitchen to bed , so to speak but lately I've realised that if I can own less in there , this kitchen won't seem so small . How do you find the curtain below the sink ? Our door is broken under our sink and I think I'll just go ahead and make a little curtain for there and one for the shelf above the fridge where we keep egg cartons and batteries etc. Weve got through my fabric stash and theres not enough of any one type of pattern , so we're deciding what to use 😊 I love your island bench , that's so handy. The table that's in our dining room now ,used to be our kitchen island style table at our last kitchen. Great for the family to stand on the other side of ,to help prep food without actually being in the kitchen. Learning to be thankful for what I already have , is ongoing ,but is so important for contentment and the budget . Great video darling ❤❤
Hello! Thank you! I like the curtain, sometimes it gets stained but I just throw it in the wash. There's not a lot of stotage in our kitchen so I've had to create it. One way was that island table, I added a shelf in the bottom that holds bulk food and pots. I love your home! It can be a slow process improving our homes but so rewarding to look back on the progress we've made. Do you like the Laura Ingalls Wilder books? We recently visited the home she and Almanzo built... It took them 17 years to finish!! ❤️❤️
@WifetoJohn I adore Laura ! I've not only got the set of Little house books , I have a lot of the others that she wrote or was written about her. I have the Prairie primer that I did with my Bigs and I am so excited to use again when my youngest is a little older. Did you know there are extra books ? Written by fans based on the few bits of information available for both Caroline and Charles' extended family tree?! For many years they were the only gift I asked for or bought. We have a big collection. I would love to visit that home!! Yes, homes are a labour of love and never truly finished 🥰🥰
This is kinda like our kitchen. Not in multiple shades of "sophisticated" grey -- just non-trendy cabinets. I feel as if I'm in a home, not living in a prison cell. Go your own way, don't be a trend victim!
Hi Brooke. . . LOVED reading your bio. I think you are my sister from another mother! hahahaha 🥰🥰🥰 Hope you have a blessed thanksgiving! Liz
I did not see old....I saw sweet and exactly what you need to be able to serve your family. It's seems loved and perfectly imperfect!
Thank you! ❤️
As long as you have what you need that’s all that matters, your kitchen is used & appreciated 😊❤
Yes, I agree! 😊

BTW, your kitchen is lovely. I'm also your 100th subscriber.
What's funny is when we bought our home this kitchen was painted a dark, ugly Grey! I knew it had to go. Thanks for the encouragement! ❤️
Aww! Thank you. ❤️
