    I bought a trainer off of amazon and border services took it away. I ended up having to write an appeal and I'm now waiting for a response. If I can't even get a trainer, I don't know if I'll be able to get a real one.

    I can't believe how afraid people are of knives. I also really hate the term "illegal" because it sounds bad but it's just a bunch of rules made for political reasons and many times have little backing in rational of being illegal or had a temporary reason for being illegal but then legalizing that illegal action/object is difficult to do. I have the Morpho 51 Black btw.

    • @GageMason
      @GageMason 4 года назад +2

      Yea, there are knives plenty more dangerous than balis that are legal lol. It's just dumb political reasoning that kills all the fun.

    I remember when I first started getting into flipping I'd carry around a couple CCC's and some friends were super wary of the legality and questioning my choices, people who were fine with underage drinking and smoking weed, and the change in tone regarding knives reallly irked me. I never flashed them in public or worse, flipped them out in the open, but I ended up filling that role with trainers or Baliyos.
    I think at best you can talk to people about knives and if their attitude seems to border on 'omg dangerous weapons only used to stab people' I'd definitely not talk about my knife hobby because I definitely get some odd questions about regarding my mental health or neurotic hobby.
    I think I've only gotten in trouble once going to a JPL Open House and I forgot I had my Griptilian on me. The cops there were sorta cool with it, no lectures or questioning, just that they would hold onto it until I was leaving. Another time I had a neck knife going into a Dave & Busters w/ a metal detector and the mallcop there was pretty sloppy but he just told me I should put it in my car instead of letting him hold onto it (because he didn't actually have any sort of confiscation box for 'contraband')

    i live in geermany and as some of you might know, balis are illegal here too... so it was me and i was so interested in these knives, that i build my own. i could have bought a trainer, but i was 15 years old and my mum hates knives so much. and because of that and the fact that i am a big cs go fan, i went to a hardware store and bought some iron bars. it was a hell lot of work, but at the end i finished my own cs go butterfly knive. i really got used to flip with this 300g bali and took it with me way too often. one day i had to bay for that. i took it out at a littel prom and at the evening we went to a kebab restaurant. i fliped under the table while waiting and suddenly a group of guys asked me if this is a butterfly knive. i told them kind of, but the blade is not even sharp and is 4mm plain thick. so he came over showed me his id card and i realised he is a cop and i am fucked up. i explained everything to him when we were outside, but the fact, that it is still pointed at the top was not good for me. we actually liked each other quite well, but at the end he called the police to bring me home. the worst moment of my life, was the moment when my mum opened the door and saw my with two officers beside me. they were nice to me too, but they had to reimburse criminal complaint to me.... a few days later the police office called at home and they said i can come and get my bali back, because they drop the complaint on me and i dont have to fear any other problems, as long as i keep it at my home. since then i only built bali trainers. but the good thing is, that i now have a big storry to tell. XD sorry for the english guys and thanks for reading this text👌

    Even in the US, even in the military, every time i flip in public and someone who doesnt know me sees it, they ask and/or tell me theyre illegal. Then i tell them they aren't and whatever. Flippers just dont really have a good light to them, even though theres no reason for it. I need a good trainer so that even in public, i can flip and when someone gives me shit, its a trainer, they can fuck off.

There is a fuck ton of controversy around the seller tho and the debate of his FU42's. Don't get an FU42 it's not worth it get a sandwich construction titanium one. Spend the extra money it's worth it. Only downside is u have to assemble it ur self and I may or may not be taken by customs it shouldn't be tho. Buy the least threatening one I suppose. its so damn easy to get butterflys in toronto. all you do, message a seller online (either in china, for fake knock off clone BM42's) or in US (for more expensive butterflys)
      tell them you are in canada, that you are only using it at home to open boxes, what ever.
      ask them to disassemble it and send it in 2 packages.
      package 1, blade and screws,
      package 2, handles and washers.
      make sure they wait 2 days before sending each package. or they can even send the other package to a friends house.
      as easy as that. its a bit more expensive, but damn, having a butterfly in canada, where no one else can have one, is a great feeling.
      Fuck canadian laws, their weed laws and prostitution laws are ok... but their knife laws are retarded...
      knives are not like guns.... what gangster is going to go through this trouble to get a betterfly knife? what gangster would pay 50$ for a butterfly knife to stab someone with... its just another knife...

    Got caught in Bavaria, Germany for having one of these knifes in my checked in luggage at the airport. They found in and kept my luggage while I was on the plan omw to the UK... Got a mail saying a report was filed.. hopefully I wont have to face any serious charges.. but yeah.. it´s ridiculous the fact that these knifes are illegal :S

    How did you get them into canada

    • @orion4559
      @orion4559 7 лет назад

      Peggy Izzy sometimes Canadian balisong flippers buy online from other flippers and ask them to ship the blade separate from the handles, blade in one package, handles in other, then they assemble the knife when the two packages arrive.

    its so amazing how sheltered people can be. i seriously have no clue why people get so hung up on balisongs more than anything. honestly, in terms of most knives, theyre probably the worst you could use to stab people with since they take a lot more time to open lol same with automatic knives, sure they have a button but the bladeplay is usually insane yet assisted are totally ok. and the only reason people have a stigma against them is because its "illegal". for the record, id never flip in public and i live in virginia where im actually allowed to carry it lol

      What's stupid is in most places they aren't even illegal for violence, many of the laws passed restricting them (in the states at least) is due to people cutting themselves with them.

    I think people don't know what arrested means... It's not a bad thing. They're just keeping you in confinement to help the case and get more evidence. Being "arrested" doesn't mean going to prison.

    • @firedreferee736
      @firedreferee736 7 лет назад

      Being in jail for days isn't any good either. Judging by CS GO and this comment, you are obviously a kid. Do you know how long it takes to even get a trial? Do you know how expensive it is to get a lawyer? Do you know that with you being in jail for a while, you'll risk losing your job?

    • @StinkyBlack1
      @StinkyBlack1 6 лет назад

      ARDEACT it means going to jail which is often worse than prison. Prisons have pretty strict standards, local jails tend to be pretty shitty.
