Red Dead Redemption Stories: Bill Williamson & Javier Escuella - All Cut Scenes

- Javier Escuella is a central character and a secondary antagonist featured in Red Dead Redemption. He is a former gang member alongside John Marston. Escuella is responsible for sheltering Bill Williamson in Nuevo Paraiso.
Javier Escuella was born in Nuevo Paraiso and was once a Mexican revolutionary. According to Agustin Allende, Javier's father was a drunk that worked on his uncle's land.
After spending some time in America, Escuella became a member of Dutch's Gang. When Dutch's gang was disbanded after Dutch went insane, Javier took it hard and returned to Mexico to work as a hitman for Allende, who was a Colonel in the Mexican Army. Marston is forced to pursue him in 1911 by the federal agents.
William "Bill" Williamson is a central character and one of the primary antagonists in Red Dead Redemption. He is a former gang partner of John Marston. Marston has been extorted into hunting down his former brothers in arms, with Bill Williamson being the first target. The hunt for Bill Williamson serves as the impetus for the game's plot and is the central motivating factor throughout the first and partially second act.
Bill Williamson was born in 1866. At some point, Bill joined the military before becoming a member of Dutch's Gang. During his time in the gang, Williamson, along with Dutch and Javier, seemed to have had a casual sexual relationship with Abigail Marston. In 1906, a botched bank robbery leaves Marston wounded and disillusioned. Some time afterward Dutch goes into semi-retirement and Williamson, insane and disillusioned from Dutch's insanity, established his own gang whom resided in Fort Mercer. - Игры

After playing RDR2, that quote hits deep.
When did John forsake Bill in rdr2?
@@0mon0zz dot.
0mon0zz he didn’t forsake him as such but I think bill is talking about the “old” John, when Arthur and Javier had to go out and fetch John out on the mountain the gang was annoyed that John took off by himself without telling anyone, he even ditched his own wife and son but Abigail begged Arthur to go out and find him, that’s why at the start Arthur gets salty with John for just taking off like that
Kin Slayer no when Arthur was found on the mountain that wasn’t when he just ran off. Dutch sent him and Micah out to scout ahead but John got attacked by wolves and was stranded on the mountain. I think bill was referring more so to the time before both games where John ran off for a year from the gang. And then I’m sure Dutch portrayed John as a traitor who ran off again after the events of rdr2
RileyFree1 yea you right, sorry I got my times mixed up but yea, in RDR 2 Arthur explains to Charles why he has a grudge against John because he left the gang and his family so Arthur stepped in to do his job as a father to his child jack, the whole gang knows of Johns getaway and this is what bill is referring to, I would love to know though what John was really up to when he left in that period of time
When Bill said "you implore me?" I quickly remembered Dutch said the same thing to Arthur
I think Dutch said "You insist?"
iKratos DaSavage he insists
The Indian chief told his son that he implores him not to fight, you might've gotten those two lines mixed up :p
The interesting thing is, both words are asking words. And both words were scoffed at in-game.
Both words also start with an "I". Something deeper is brewing here.
Nah that was Arthur telling Dutch he insists (SPOILER WARNING) letting John and his family leave before they get slaughtered with everybody else by the Pinkertons.
fun (not so fun) fact: if you kill Javier and put him in the jail, Marston will wipe a tear away right before he spits on him. its very subtle and quick though.
TheJohnmarston72 awwwww, he still cares
Javier actually cared for John and Arthur. Too bad he went insane like Dutch did.
DustyO'Rusty Javier did not go insane, he was just scared that Dutch might kill him if he sides with Arthur
@@Odinsday Javier was only being loyal
he was never rlly insane. he loved dutch as a father figure, most likely, and he was extremely loyal. and he never once pointed a gun at arthur nor john. he had no idea wtf was going on
After beating Red Dead 2 Javier didn’t seem the type to side with Dutch.
He was scared of Dutch and sided with him not wanting to die, he doesn't properly aim at Arthur and John since he cares about them
Edwin diaz I noticed that. Everyone else was aiming at them and he held his gun in the air
Just for context to add on to this several times walking up to Javier in the last camp before the end of the game he would call Arthur “a fucking traitor” and threatened him several times in random encounter.
Ze-TopHat-Gamer loyalty can blin a man to his or her masters actions whenever good or bad if he could’ve think for himself for one second to see Dutch was a lunatic and an idiot he could’ve helped John and Arthur get out
Ze-TopHat-Gamer if you talked to him in camp during chapter 6 he would call Arthur a traitor among other things. He didn’t want to kill them but he wouldn’t have sided with John and Arthur
'Bill, Javier, think... think for yourselves!'
-Arthur morgan, 1899.
Not thinking for themselves got them killed by John, John killed them for Arthur and the pinkertons

Dutch had to have been lying when he said"we all had her." Nobody would go ten miles near Bill
Bill aint even got a hair in the head
Javier did not deserved to be killed by John , John is alive because Javie if he don't convince Arthur to go get John's ass from the mountain he'd be dead... Javier : let's go look for John I'm sure he would do the same to us Arthur.
Not really, I mean tbf before the downfall of the gang. Everyone was family, they all would've sort of saved each other (except Micah, don't even count him as a member since he joined just for few months).
It was Hosea who actually asked both Arthur and Javier to look for John, both Javier and John were like brothers but Javier chose his side with Micah. Letting Arthur and John, to die around the Pinkertons.
He along with Dutch after last heist let John to die, and pretended to tell him that all thought he died so they didn't rescue him.
So Javier, although I liked him so much. He left John to die, so at the end John killing him doesn't make me feel so bad about it.
Yeah when you have a good friend aiming his gun to intent to kill you. I'm sure him saving you doesn't mean shit when hes ready to pull the trigger. Not just that he actually did when you where getting chased by the Pinkerton and the Dutch gang shooting at you. You sure as hell wouldn't survive in the real life.

@@TheYasin618 Micah was in for as long as Lenny, so...
Nah I shoot Javier every time. Not because I wanted to, but because I just thought it better to be killed by a friend than the crueller fate of hanging.
I like Javier in RDR2. Well, actually I like just about all of the gang members in RDR2. It was cool seeing them from a not so villain like point of view and made them more relatable. Bill on the other hand though, he hasn’t really changed much comparing him in both games. Javiers much more chill. And Dutch is a pretty good character up until he goes insane.
Lejend Dairy I agree. Javier was so cool. It sucks what happened to him. He let loyalty blind him and it turned him into a completely different person. Bill didn't change too much but he was more caring and not as ruthless in RDR2. He did get pissed when the Braithwaites involved a child or Jack, into what they were doing.
It was heartbreaking to see Javier's hesitation to aim at John and Arthur in the last mission. He knows better.
lestermeganice I wonder if Javier and Bill ever changed their minds or regretted how they treated Arthur in his final days if they ever found out that Micah was the rat the whole time. Dutch did help kill Micah.
Agreed, Dutch was a character with depths and he always had a plan, he just needed money

Bill was angry because Arthur never bought him hair pomade.
I actually really like Bill in RDR 2. Sure, he’s kinda dumb in his own way - loud, drunk and angry a lot of the time, made some mistakes, and was unquestionably loyal towards the end. But, he wasn’t half as incompetent as I was expecting. He seemed to be one of the more skilful fighters in the gang, more often than not accompanying Arthur on missions, and he also organised and took part in what was pretty much the gangs most successful score in the entire game. He’s a clumsy bastard, but was more so a scapegoat of the other gang members mistakes than an out and out idiot lol. I think his character was handled very well in RDR2.

Its been stated by the actor of Javier for rdr2 that Javier really did love them, but was confused and scared at the end of rdr2 (he even fought for Javier to not point a gun at anyone because Javier would never turn his own gun on his own brothers hence why in rdr2’s ending it seems like he’s aiming the wrong direction) even when John and Javier meet he clearly has a gun and could have shot john when he threw the crate at him, but instead tried to run. He’s not a good guy by any means but still never really wanted to hurt his own family

A remaster or a remake of this game would be cool
Imagine a DLC for rdr2 which is basically the first game
That and undeadnightmare
Technically the 4K visual update patch they released for the Xbox One X, back in April I believe, is better than nothing, and is probably about as good as the game would likely look if an actual remaster were made.
I've played it myself and it looks a lot better than you might think. Just watch Digital Foundary's video on it, the game really does look stunning with the update!
@@stan_the_man618 Well. It's not all about looks. When it comes to this at least. A remake would be amazing to just fix and add in some things that line up with RDR2. I've no problem playing this even in the vanilla version, but even just adding in mentions of Arthur or fixing up Javier and so on would make me buy this game again.

Bill Willamson was a monster.
@@AssassinCreed2Fan1 nah. Bill wanted respect from everyone, that's why he was so brash. And in the end everyone he got respect from either died or ran away. He also tells John that he only seems to save himself, which is true, since he planned to run off with his family and abandon the rest of the gang. So basically Bill was left without any friends or anybody who respected him, so he started a gang to get that respect back. Obviously it wasn't a good thing to do but it was probably the only thing he could think of.

and of course Dutch takes his own life at the end
Im Really glad that this ended up being my story because now that I can see the gang in RDR2 It makes sense that John couldn't pull the trigger on his old brothers.
But javier still dies if you take him alive
@@pinkerton_agent how does he die
@@jpg70 The government executes him.
I think John killing Javier makes more sense then handing him over to the Pinkertons for two reasons. One: Javier betrayed John and left him to die. At that point, John wouldn't have any qualms about killing him. He still cared about Javier, but there's a reason why killing him is an option and RDR 2 does a really good job on expanding on why. Two: John knows that Javier would rather die then get executed by the government. So if you kill Javier, you're really just doing him a favor.
After completing RDR 2 i see now how Dutch became a lunatic in RDR 1, that moment with Arthur at the end broke him, after that he wasn’t the same

Funny how Javier in rdr2 was like a white washed Mexican. Then in rdr1, he became super Mexican, dressed up like the three amigos.
Most mexican revolutionaries were dressed in the same line Javier was dressed in RDR1. In RDR2 he took a lot more freedom with his wardrobe.

You are confusing white wash to being bilingual. Just cause a Mexican learns english does not mean hes "white wash" if you ever played the second game he was well dressed as he was from Mexico. Not only that he sang Spanish to the group. Think before you talk compadre.
“OMG HE MENTIONED DUTCH AND JAVIER BUT ARTHUR HE WAS A PART OF THE GANG WHY NOT HIM?” People please remember that the creators of Red Dead Redemption did not think the game was not going to be as successful as it was so the thought of Arthur didn’t even exist so stop wondering where Arthur is because the creators didn’t think this far ahead
1. Arthur was not created when this game released
2. In Red Dead 2 After Arthur Dies John Explains he always thinks about Arthur he just never wants to talk about him
Bionic_Spider Its really just because they weren't made up yet when the game was made. I think they would've if they did plan on it. John not mentioning Arthur is understandable but that shouldn't stop Javier and Bill from mentioning him though or even Dutch. Not sure if Dutch would mentioned him. He might not talk about him either since he may have regretted ever listening to Micah which fucked his plans over which screwed over everyone and he did help kill Micah for it. Anyway, Bill would've mentioned him and Micah how he's in charge now. It would've been perfect if instead of "no more Dutch and no more you", he'd say "no more Dutch, no more Micah, no more Arthur, and no more you". With Javier, he could've mentioned how he and Arthur had saved John in the snow. The fact that Javier mentions John's daughter, a character that wasn't in RDR2 at all, makes no sense as to why he'd mention her but not Arthur. I wonder if they ever changed their minds on Arthur though if they did find out that Micah was the rat all along.
In RDR2 Marston says he doesn't talk about Arthur, but he thinks about him all the time. Game creators reason for Marston not mentioning Arthur
@@Deathpool_04 you're looking way too deep into this. Arthur simply just wasn't a character back then until after they began development on RDR2. If John didn't mention him in RDR1, what makes you think Dutch or the others would? He wasn't created until after.
King Shibe Apparently, you didn't read the first part of what I said when I agreed with the person that it's really just because he wasn't thought of back then. I said the other things of the story and how it still wouldn't make sense for them to not be mentioned in RDR1 but yeah, I know it's because they weren't thought of when they were making RDR1. I'm not trying to look that deep into it.

After playing Rdr 2 this john seems way more mature, calm and collected unlike the other game where he kinda acts like a child who doesn't want responsibilities. This john seems broken in a way like he's seen too much and just wants a peaceful life.
Yeah having the skinner brothers in your backdoor after the events of chapter 1-6 can do that to a person. John's story is pretty interesting in rdr2, especially if you think Arthur was the one who made him become this way. (i know the character didn't exist in 2011 but I'm sure they had written something like that down for rdr2 as a planned prequel)

I wonder what happened between bill and dutch
@Dwayne M 10 Bill and Javier ran away presumably together when the Pinkertons attacked Beacer Hollow at the very end right after the final standoff. After the standoff cutscene they are nowhere to be seen and they stay absent for the rest of the mission. And Dutch went his own way and Micah took off with Cleet and Joe
@Dwayne M 10 I just told you. They all split up just before Arthur’s death. After Arthur died, it’s presumed that Bill and Javier no longer affiliate with Dutch. I wouldn’t say they hate him but they don’t seem to mind him being gone. Bill seems happy that he’s finally the one in charge of a gang in the 1st game so he’s happy that Dutch is out of his life and Javier was probably more neutral. I doubt Dutch ever really cared about them either
I can’t ever see rdr story the same way without thinking about Arthur’s story or any of the others, just makes you feel twice as alone in rdr with a creepy atmosphere
Crazy how these graphics still hold up even after playing RD2 👌
I love how John's character has been improved after RDR2, he's more calm, cold and mature. He would be screaming, yelling at Bill and Javior back then if put in the same situation. And I love his voice better in RDR1, Rob Wiethoof 's voice got too husky in RDR2.

He most likely dropped it because it's been 12 years since he left the gang
Because agent ross know who he is
And. Rip van winkle
I’m late but he’s already been discovered by the government so there’s no point in hiding his identity anymore. It’s also why he has a fame meter in the 1st game because more people recognize the name John Marston than Jim Milton and John went by his real name
RDR2 makes you forget how much of a coward Javier was in the first game. He was loyal to a fault

i love when how bill is always considered an idiot if he makes a mistake, but if arthur makes one he would say that it was because of the bad luck xD
@@azriffazli4670 yeah
lol
“You implore me” isn’t that what arthur says to Dutch when he said to let John and his family go, and Dutch got all mad that he used the word “implore”
It was "insist"
Marston doesn't get Arthur's hat in all of the endings in RDR 2 so, it's determined if its really his hat or Arthur's.
I think he gets it in most endings
Still determined, tho.
@@King-jk9or Exactly.
Arthur's hat and John's classic hat are two different hats.
No crap.
Javier was one of my favourite characters in read dead redemption two. Sad how they portrayed him as a traitor in the first game.
“No more Dutch, and no more you and certainly No more Arthur” if they could remaster this game and write Arthur, Charles, Micah in continuity, would be amazing.
We NEED a remake of RDR with homage to Arthur, more side quests and more polished story while mainly unchanged and also slight changes to the characters to make them fit into two stories as a whole.
Look at description. It says a botched bank robbery in 1906 left John wounded
That's a mistake by the uploader's part.
It's never mentioned in the first game in what year John was left to die. People wrongly assumed it was 1906 because there's a newspaper article in the first game that states Dutch was last seen publicly in 1906 after a botched bank robbery involving a fire. The article only mentions Dutch and not the gang, so that tells you he was acting alone during that time which is consistent with what we've seen in RDR 2.
In rdr remastered bill should say "no more Arthur"
Rockstar, I implores you to remaster this masterpiece
“Abigail always thought you were a creep”
At 0 point during the RDR2 campaign did she show any signs of that
True
Then again she never really interacts with him. Probably because she thinks he’s creepy. And she also hates him by the end of rdr2 for leaving John to die after falling off the train and for siding with Dutch so she probably called him creepy afterwards while remembering the whole situation
@@josephstalin2606 I get what you mean but I definitely think Javier showed no signs of being creepy towards anyone in the camp
@@joer.g8568 I guess. She probably meant creepy as in he always kind of kept to himself and he always had a big ego. That or she meant as in when she was a prostitute and when they slept together. Idk it’s ambiguous but I don’t think it’s a retcon
I got a feeling Javier is a creep around the bedroom... Abigail would know 'cause she used to be a prostitute and a lot of people in the gang had her.
Did anyone kind of thought it sucked when you never see the Marshall or his deputies again after this mission? They were memorable characters and I wish they made a return. Same with Irish and Seth. That was one thing I hated about this game.
ColeB Fishing i think irish died and seth went back to his family
Irish died in Thieves Landing. You read that in a newspaper in game somewhere, it’s been years though so not sure where. Also not positive about Seth. If you want to consider Undead Nightmare then you do actually see the deputies and the Marshall again. And Seth too for that matter. But I agree, not enough screen time after leaving for Mexico with those guys. It’s okay, though. Sean filled that void of Irish in RDR2 lmao.
Seth finds treasure and goes back to his family afterwards.
Watching this after rd2 just breaks my heart
4:04 underrated moment of words by John.
“Seen my hat?” You mean Arthur’s hat John 😪
No, their hats are different
@@freezypop1653 nah Arthur gave him his hat
It's a different hat
Arthur’s is more curved with a rope tied around it and is black while johns is more of a grey, flatter and has a feather in it
@Nathan Phillips then don't correct it, whether I was right (in that John customized it personally) or wrong (genuinely uses a different hat) doesn't mean I'm spreading false information, it's a pretty reasonable thought to have even if it is wrong
Everyone likes arthur now but i like john and arthur the same.
I went into this video expecting "cut scenes"...
5:59 that bastard had me wheezing everytime he did something
Javier didn’t do anything wrong of John in RDR2
l Ency l he stayed with Dutch
Just leaving Marston and Morgan to handle the Pinkertons at camp lol
This game has to be remade not only should it be remastered but it should add to the story, red dead two was so amazing there still needs more story to be filled. This is one game we can all agree we can wait another few years for its story to continue and let the next game be a remaster of red dead two only with the exception the add to the story go into more detail how things happen etc then u got another bad ass game. After the remaster then we can get a new red dead with the story continuing with Johns son unless they can implement that in the remaster then we’re all set. Red dead 2 is a masterpiece, I miss Arthur so much...
I never finished this game I was too young really and didn’t understand how good it was I’m gonna play it again soon
I just noticed the guy with ross is they guy in the credits i like how rockstar put that extra detail in
Archer Fordham
“Bill Williamson and Javier Escuella scenes”
90 percent of the clips don’t even have them in here!
Nice!
Have you noticed in rdr2 when you visit that fort there’s always a badly rended bird that flies away
I liked Javier in red dead 2 and I think if he hadn’t had such Blind loyalty to Dutch and realized what was happening, he could’ve escaped with Arthur and John
