Please take this as the massive compliment that it is meant to be….you both seem the most “normal” van life couple that I have watched. Nothing seems faked, you aren’t constantly eating tofu or making your own gourmet meal out of berries and nuts and I haven’t seen a yoga pose against a sunrise background yet. It’s really refreshing to see just a normal couple travel in a van…please don’t change, you are smashing it…safe travels.

There is a campsite in the middle of Amsterdam called Vliegenbos. I stayed there for two weeks when I started working for a Dutch company in 2018. It's not too far away from the Central station (but you need to take the free ferry). I liked this place. Pretty nice people there and surpricingly quiet for being in the middle of the town.
@@JodieandJoe Oh and riding a bicycle is indeed dangerous. In two weeks I had two accidents with my bike. Mostly because people don't expect others to not being familiar with their way of cycling. They don't care and don't think that somebody is not used to cycling in Amsterdam. Especially in situations were a lot of bikes pile up in front of traffic lights on the street.
As a Dutchie (even born in Amsterdam) never, ever heard of Vliegenbos. Had to look it up. More than 100 years old. They also offer tiny houses to rent. Looks like a solid recommendation. Big thumbs up!
Amazing place. You sure need to look for the bikes 🤔🤔 the opposite way to the UK, bit like in Copenhagen you only make the mistake once🤣🤣. They also do great ice cream, but maybe better in the warmer weather.
I'm not sure if you guys already have your whole trip planned out (just stumbled on this video) but I highly recommend Haarlem, Leiden or Groningen to visit! They're not as touristy but still amazing cities, and easy accessible in a day!
The way you pronounced Manneken Pis as Manneken Pies was hilarious. While you have the same word for it with the same pronouncitation but then with one letter 's' more at the end..
