    Hi I’m new to this whole thing and I’m just a kid so I’m also on a budget, do you think you could make a video on how to make a super easy and on budget tree frog terrarium pls!😊 your an inspiration!

      The items he uses are all budget friendly! But if you can’t afford that exact brand you can just use the same type of product but different brand aslong as it’s been proven pet friendly! Also for the branches you can use your own from your back yard but make sure to sanitize them correctly!!! (There are plenty of videos that show how to ❤)

      I a gree on all, but just make sure you are collecting branches from safe trees because some trees like the Pine tree, are toxic to reptiles.Good luck. 😊

    Could you put a foam board down first and then put the back ground on that? Just in case you would ever have to remove the background?

    I thought you had to silicone the foam on top to?

      It helps if you are gonna be having a moist tank yes . Also any expanding foam is non toxic once dried just make sure you aren't putting anything in the tank for a wile untill it's all 100% dried and stuff

      @@smarty5902 I’ve done it both ways with success. The silicone just adds more texture for the foam to stick to.

    Could u wash and sanitize when u clean the enclosure? How would u clean I’m curious to see how long it last make sure u sanitize all reptile enclosures weekly they carry a lot of bacteria

      I recently posted a video on how I maintain bioactive enclosures, check it out. They are mostly self cleaning by using isopods and springtails to breakdown decaying matter.

    Blows my mind when people use the white foam over the black pond and stone, the white stuff looks so ugly when it dries it makes me want to paint over the back and sides of the glass to hide the stuff that shows

    Will the foam expand horizontally if I spay it on a cardboard pipe to make a tree? Or does the cardboard pipe need to be laying down so the foam expands upwards?

    So I did this. However, the substrate didn't stick well 😢 the coco fiber was dry, and it was completely no moisture. I baked it and also let it sit for about a week I did mine in sections so it was forsure wet when I added the substrate .. why !!

      shave the top of the foam so it isnt shiny and silicone on top of that. add the substrate to the wet silicone

      @@kNINER-tj6mq so I bought that silicone and I made this beautiful setup that was going to be bioactive for my Brazilian rainbow boa but then I did research and apparently that is GE 2 silicone which toxic for animals and i started panic and i did not want to risk it so I bought aquarium safe silicone instead and I’m gonna redo the whole thing tomorrow

    So the substrate will just stick to the foam before it dries?:never saw this process before. I usually see silicone on top of the foam and then substrate

    is the egg crate made out of plastic or metal? i ordered some and they are plastic but look pretty thick compared to yours. Maybe i got the wrong one

      It’s plastic. It’s just to add texture for the foam to stick to. It should work.

    Did you let the silicone dry for 24 hours or just spread it and then do foam?

      You just silicone. I’ve seen him spread it a lot and then you use the foam. The first layer of foam just needs something sticky to adhere to properly

    In the end you said the coconut powder will not stick if it’s wet at all. What does that mean? How can it stick if it’s not wet? It must be wet if anything you threw at it will glue to the wet expanding foam.

      Meant the coconuts fiber can’t be wet when putting on top of foam

      Yes, the foam is still wet and expanding but the coco fiber needs to be dry. The foam cures faster when it comes into contact with water.

      Nope! Just put the foam right after the silicone!

      The foam could slide off the bare glass after it cures. That first round of silicone gives the foam somewhere to grab onto the glass so it's secured into the enclosure :)
