    Holy moly! This is one heck of a router. Kudos to DeWalt! Well researched, well edited, and entertaining review. This is the GOAT tool review channel.

    Can't wait for your H2H of 1/2" cordless routers, now that we have models from many big players (makita, milwaukee, hikoki, dewalt etc) :)

    I love the review. I’m excited to get this router. My first router was a Porter Cable also.

    Thanks for the review. I am on the fence about buying a cordless router. For a while I aimed for hikoki but now i think i will get the dewalt. I already have some dewalt xr batteries and also flexvolt batts. I wounder if it is mandatory to use the powerstack batteries or the xr will be good enough? Doing mainly some timberframing joinery.

    Great review “Master” you are always a reference for all of us, I wonder and without meaning to bother you but could you give us your opinion between Makita XGT track saw and Milwaukee M18 track saw

    • @ConcordCarpenter
      @ConcordCarpenter 19 дней назад +2

      @@xristm I absolutely love Makita if that’s reaction and I’ll be honest with you it’s been out for a long time and nothing has changed. Still really good. Milwaukee took forever to come out, but I got everything right, it’s a really nice tracksaw. We have both in our crew.

    Great review , I hope they’ve realised the flexvolts arnt they way forward . The 6amp=2amp at 54 volt sucks they’re too big and run out too fast .

    I also think dewalt flexvolt is overkill sometimes when weight and comfort really matters. Even the new heavy duty drill is 20v. Routers must not be top heavy - hence a flexvolt battery is too much. My experience with routers is limited, but I do have the little brother. Even with a battery at all it feels top heavy. I would love to try this one or the milwaukee. The trim router which I bought did not meet my need for power.

    I was planning on getting the festool 1400. I might rethink, and get this instead. 1/2 the price. 🤔

    Good review. regarding dewalt offer it, here in the UK as a kit tstak with the power stack batteries

    Did you know that DCW260 detects the battery you put on it. using a 5ah powerstack, 8 ah tabless or Flexvolt batteries is optimal for the router, regular 5 ah battery will not give you full power of the router. Dewalt is fading out their Flexvolt advantage label, but the technology is still there in some tools. You should get your hands on a bigger battery and test it again.

    Having only 1 arm (my right arm), I use a lot of routers for my woodworking. Sadly, this new Dewalt is a one trick pony being trapped in it's base.
    I'd like to have seen a D-handle feature, or a single grip like Festools OF 1400 or even their 1010.
    I'm still waiting to find the "ultimate" router, but the Hikoki has been my favorite mid-sized cordless mid-priced router.

      @ConcordCarpenter lol I have several haha. I made a pantorouter, (and then a mini pantorouter.) I mean, why buy a domino machine when I can go all put lmao.
      I just finished my pin router ripping machine. It allows me to rip, joint, and edge in one pass.
      Now your like "Why not just build a cnc?" Thw short answer, I can't even figure out Sketchup!!! 😂 😆 Too many concussions in my day lol.
