I LOVE my elastic pieces that I attach to the top of French twist. I have 2 now & I always get compliments on my hair everywhere I go. I’m 65 & also wear mine w curtain bangs. I just cd nt live without these little sprays of extra hair. I luv wearing wigs as well. But that take more time than these handy little things. Very good video I did learn how to comb out some of the tightness in the curls in one of mine. Good job👍❣️
This is just what iv been searching for , a simple no fuss but realy lovely tutorial on hair pieces . You wear your hair just like i like too do and its helped me too know what im looking for thank you
Great video, Monika! Before I stopped coloring my hair, I used these wonderful hairpieces. Especially when my hair was not quite long enough to do a messy bun. Sometimes I would do my hair in a French roll, put on a claw clip and then tuck the wrap into the top of the clip instead of wrapping it around it. Another different look to add to your creations! Hair additions are so much fun! Thanks for sharing!
Oh the struggle is real!! I’ve always had the most fine thin fragile hair since childhood and seeing all these long thick haired tik tok girlies makes me so jealous for all their hair hacks that are so EASY BC THEY HAVE TONS OF HAIR!! Seeing you do your hair mirrors my EXACT STRUGGLE and I too try to dress my hair up with pretty barrettes pins and clips!!
Thank you for this video. I have been trying to get confident enough to wear my hair up and leave the house, lol I'm chubby so I feel funny with my hair up out in public. I do need those big claw clips to hold my think fine hair in place and now I'm going to use your idea with claw clip and the messy bun. Hoping I can find my hair color
3 yrs later. I call this my covid hair do. Thanks for showing me your tips and tricks. I never would have guessed you are 60 plus. Looking forward to more. TY
I've been using the HairDo straighter wraps for over 10 years on those days when I'm in a hurry or don't wash my hair. Ulta rarely has my color so I order on their site or most of the online wig sites like namebrandwigs, etc. carry them too. They've kind of changed them a little lately and are sometimes a little wimpier than they used to be. I've always used my shampoo to wash them, but I've been reading comments lately on some of the wig sites and some say to just wash them in fabric softener, so I'm going to try that. I have. many backups because I'm always in fear they'll stop making them. You always look darling with yours on and the color match is excellent for you. Laurie
Thanks Laurie. I have seen the Revlon ones at wig shops on line but I am lucky my Ulta carries a good selection as does my local Sally's Beauty Supply. When I 1st bought them I bought doubles as I had no idea how long they would last. I never thought to wash them with Fabric Softener, what a great idea. The Elastic gets totally stretched out on mine but that's because I double wrap them most of the time. Have a wonderful day!
I have seen ladies use a chopstick through the hair, just under the real hair pony,...then stretch each end of the hair scrunchie, around either end of the chopstick, instead of over your own ponytail...this is cool!
Thank you for a great video! My hair has thinned with age and doesn't look very full in a bun. Now that warmer weather is around the corner, I am looking for this kind of updo hairstyle with added hair pieces for fullness.
I never have a bad hair day at work because I wear all kinds of hair pieces. My hair is long and wavy and tends to frizz in humidity. I always carry one or two pieces with me plus clips and bands too. Thanks for sharing, Monica. I think we wear the same color in the Ulta brand.
Love that you did this video, thank you!! I bought one of these for a messy bun and was LOST until I watched your video, I had been fighting with the included clips for two hours; and I never needed them!! I have zero creativity in this area so it helped me, big time!
I did put in one of my claw clips at the end (not the included one) thanks to your suggestion and example, it worked out great. Thanks again! Looking forward to more
I know you say you are not an expert at these hairpieces BUT I think you do a gorgeous job and so professional!!!!!! Wow! Good job!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoox Carol
You make it look so easy! Very pretty styles on you , Monika. I think i won’t ever have enough volume of hair to grow it and put it up these days, so, for the time being I’ll have to stick with my very short pixie style and just be very envious 😊
SO HAPPY I found this!! I ordered curly scrunchies on Amazon but had NO IDEA how to use them. Lolol Now I have an idea and a variety of hairstyles! Thank you!!
Did you get yours from Amazon? I'm afraid to order one online without physically seeing the color match, I have medium brown hair.....there are several shades. I went to Ulta at the mall but their selection was very limited. I bought one, but I'd like more of a variety to choose from. Thanks
Thank you! I have struggled with my "scrunchie" hair pieces, not getting the messy bun I had when my hair was long. These styles are very cute, and I love the way you did them, and explained them! I think I'm just a bit older than you, but love the updo looks!
This was fun and informative Monika...and I always meant to tell you, I live within walking distance to Sally's and I have never been there...you have inspired me to go. Thank you Susan! OMG ...walking distance to Sally's and you've never been there! Wow. You need to visit and sign up for their rewards program. They have lots of hair stuff and of course make-up and hair care products. Hugs to you and The Dez!
Hi Monika, I am so heading to Ulta to see if I can find a couple hair pieces to pin to the back of my sad and sparse ponytail. That braid is adorable. Planning a trip to warm sunshine and to get away from winter for a week and clip on beauty would be perfect for fun in the sun. You are just so adorable. Sending hugs .... Sherry
Thank you so much Sherry! If they don't have them in your store try on line and also Sally's beauty supply too .I just love my fake buns! They last a good long time too!
What a delightful tutorial! I just started buying some scrunchie hair pieces, and this was very helpful! I love your natural, fun style and disarming personality! A pleasure to watch.
Hi Monika! Your hair looks so pretty pinned up and I love your hair accessories!! Thanks for sharing some great tips with us, have a wonderful weekend, hugs Deb x
Very cute...I wore those several years ago all the time when my hair was short and I was growing it back out...they were so much fun and easy and I loved them. I think when you add the clip in the back it looks like you have pulled your hair up..so natural and cute..much love my friend..xoxo

Monika...you look fabulous with your hair up! I have had one of these before but I don't have one now that is the right color. I need to pick one up. Great video! ❤️Lots of love Laura
I love my little hair pieces. They really make it so much easier to do nothing much to my hair. I love the ease of just putting it up in a ponytail and adding a fake bun! Hugs!
Super cute Monika 😀 !! I wish my hair was long enough to use one , I may have to grow it out so I can do that ! It would be so easy especially in the summer to just toss hair up and put one of those on😎🤗
Instead of using the bobby pins that you're talking about I have found an amazing bobby pin by Goody's. It is spiral comes in three different colors of black a brown maybe a bronze and maybe a gray also not sure but these pens are fantastic I found out about them before I found out about the hair wraps and what I did was just take those spiral bobby pins and put it in it stayed all day and I slept in it and woke up the next morning and it still looked great. There is no loosening no worrying about whether it's going to fall out or anything like that these pens are fantastic and I suggest everyone to go and look at them and at least try once.
@@MonikaBeautyandLifestyle I just use whatever shampoo I am currently enjoying. I put water in the sink and add a capful or so (maybe a teaspoon or two) to the water as it is running to mix it up, then swish it around in the shampoo water for a couple minutes. After that, I rinse it gently under running warm water, blot with a towel gently and then air dry on the towel. If you do it at night, the hairpiece will be dry in the morning.
How did you cut your neck, Monika? Enjoyed seeing how you use your hair pieces! Lucky you can find hair pieces that match. Ok, did you say you have a hairdresser's discount? Did I forget you once were a hairdresser? Blessings, and love..MaryEllen

Hi 🖐 well i just got one of those buns but its slightly darker than my hair , ive got 2 more coming so i hope they are a bit more blonde . I just subscribed ♥️
