I think there is a logo on the top right of the screen. I also heard that some countries in north Africa are still on analogue. Many congrats on the catch & 73s!
Mad Radio DXer Hi my friend thanks for your comment and feedback :) Tader commented that it is most likely from Egypt. Saw the mosque in the background which may be indeed from North Africa. Hope I will be able to catch it again ;) 73!
Hi Mr Tengu, thanks for your comment :) I am thinking something from North Africa but sadly cannot determine what the station would be, hopefully it makes a comeback :D 73!
My friend, we are a group of analog and digital channel receivers in the Middle East and North Africa. Do you want to join Facebook group to see what we catch?
The SECAM burst is probably fake and insignificant. But did you switch the sound to BG and did you get any sound? BTW, I can't ID the station because it's too noisy, but it's probably some kind of press conference from the President's office.
Hi Igic, thanks for your comment :) Thereafter I switched the sound to BG, I and L (Never works) to check if sound comes in but to no avail. Difficult to ID Station as it was caught exactly :/ My thoughts were on Libya as they are still running VHF Signals but cannot determine as picture was not stable. 73!
What is the type of television you have and the place of manufacture and its digital sequence, as for the frequency of VHF 10, I love it very much because I remember that I received Maltese TV TV on it for many years as it started broadcasting at four in the evening and it was when the TV programs finished broadcasting on CNN channel
Hi my friend, the television is Samsung which for some years I liked on Dxing on its Analogue Tune. Indeed buddy, VHF C10 used to be the home of Television Malta :D Sadly the transition took place years ago :( From where you are Hytham on catching TVM? Do you have any videos of your catches? Cheers buddy 73!
Hello my dear friend, the possibilites may be that this was RTA1. Tropo was very much intense around the Mediterranean which it was a very hot day. Thanks for the contribution 73!
Hi Emel, thanks for your feedback :) Researched a bit and it may be mostly RTA1, the only analogue station still running on analogue at multiple TXs. Hope that a high tropo is extended towards Algeria once more ;) 73!
Hi Danut, thanks :) Checked some countries which use PAL and SECAM and my primary guess it could be from Libya. Yesterday went to Zurrieq and grabbed my old Casio Pocket TV and noticed one channel on UHF which I think is from Libya as well. Either from Libya or something from Algeria before the ATV switch off took place days later. Cheers 73!
