Had to do what they wanted lol They wanted to get a “slam” without leaving the river which was my main focus. And goal was to only use Berkeley gulp. Plus it was only 30 degrees in December! Not my favorite time to fish let me tell you it wasn’t easy! I was only 19 in this episode and I’ve learned a lot since then lol

Those spots get fished beyond any reasonable measure. head out 10-12 miles and you will do way more gooder.

Yes they do get fished a lot but I’ve caught a ton of good fish all throughout the river. It’s nice to show the locals that aren’t pro fisherman how simple and diverse our fishery can be. We wanted to show that anyone can get a slam inside the river using artificial or bait. Not everyone can run offshore but you’re right targeting grouper and sheepshead out there is fun!
