I am blown away that this is Billy Butcher from THE BOYS. he changes character so extremely, I had no idea it was the same person! Karl Urban you are an incredible actor
At the end of chronicles I thought he had a kind of respect for riddick guess that didn't last. Hopefully he's the antagonist if they make another film. Love me some Karl Urban and he was great as the villain in Priest.
@@Allangulon There's always a way to work these things out. The underverse is a stange place, nobody understands what it can do to a human if you spend too much time in it's influence. Plus, speaking practically, modern effects can achieve anything required of a modern movie. If they need to make Urban younger, it can be achieved. As for the relationship between Riddick and Vaako, I think it would work better if they turn out to be allies. It's revealed at the end of Riddick in the extended version that Vaako's intentions towards Riddick were honourable and it wasn't Vaako who betrayed Riddick, it was the sub-ordinate, who wanted rid of both Riddick and Vaako ("I wont have a non believer on the throne (Riddick), nor a kind hearted soul (Vaako) I did what I did to purify the faith") or words to that effect. That indicates that Vaako had honourable intentions towards Riddick. He made his intentions clear, all he wanted was transcendence - he didn't care to have Riddick as an enemy. It should always be remembered that Krone referred to Vaako as a "kind hearted soul". So if he returns in the 4th film, it makes more sense that now he has gotten what he wanted (transcendence), he's more likely to be an ally to Riddick than an enemy. You have to watch that final scene in Riddick in the extended version to know that Vaako's deal with Riddick was an honourable one made in good faith. It was Krone who did the dirty on Riddick, not Vaako. Krone wanted rid of them both. It was Krone who corrupted the deal made between Vaako and Riddick. Vaako trully did intend to send Riddick back to Furya.
Hey - yeah, he’s in the unrated director’s cut more and the ending of that involves his character slightly (you can find the scenes online but recommend watching the whole thing, it’s a richer experience than the theatrical cut!)
Karl Urban as "Vaako" was amazing. He stole the show from Vin. This character was full of energy, foreboding, and power.
He's changed so much, I didn't recognize him in The Boys!
He is just meant to play every role he takes look at him in the boys it's perfect
when an actor and a role are perfect for each other...

he got more screentime in the extended version
This interview is longer than his role in the film
Lol since when bad guys started talking so calm with reporters...

Not gonna happen now as his character would not have aged but Carl sure as hell has!

He's really in slowmo here, lol.
He was perfect for Vaaco.
Various should get his own show.
My husband!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was sort of an indie film since universal didn't want to pay for another, so that's why they had to abandon the big crowds of necromongers.
chronicles was almost 10 years ago...
20...
He had a small role in the film. What else could I possibly mean by that sentence?
