Finally. Old version was obsolete and it was visible. A mix of old and newer packages were not a good match recently. Now it will be fine for a while. I really hope this rolling version gets released. Ideally, if they based it on Arch!
Very much enjoying Tuxedo 4 on my Asus TUF Gaming laptop. It nailed everything out of the box except for the bluetooth which I remedied by installing the Liquorix kernel. It even got the Nvidia RTX GPU which surprised me.
Neon runs much faster on Vivobooks and Acer books than Tuxedo OS... I suppose Tuxedo OS is (or may be) just best for Tuxedo devices, but for common usage it's better to choose lighter distro like Neon, MX KDE, Debian KDE (my top #1) or Devuan (in case we don't need the extra features and daemons for the workflow)...
@@nildesperandum2034 Actually it is pretty good and boring. Cons: it's not so fast as KDE Neon and the getting of the latest Plasma is a kind of pain. In fact if the use case does not require all the latest packages, the best solution is the clean Debian (version 12.7 for the moment). Therefore I can state that Kubuntu is either useless - we need faster and fresh 'deb' with Plasma desktop, we use KDE Neon, we need fastest 'debs' with the stability closer to perfection - Debian with Plasma... OR when we need something "in the middle" of those two))) Kubuntu may make us happy.
It`s Kubuntu without snaps ! I like it !

I use Tuxedo OS on my Dell T1700 and I can't fault it.

Did you test it??
@@nildesperandum2034 on 4 different devices. It just feels overbloated slow Neon. Thus I'm not sure this distro deserves any attention.
@@REZNON Thx but what do you think about Kubuntu?

Dumb title. KDE Plasma is available to many distros, not just that one. And it isn't a revolution just because TuxedoOS decided to use it.
Did the title change? Right now it literally only says that it ships with plasma 6.1. Certainly not something you should be so upset about.
