I feel kind of bad for the 999 dispatchers for the coast guard they have to go through military training to answer calls and dispatch units
Why do MCA 999 operatives have to go through military training? The MCA, including coastguards, are civilian agencies.
they don’t just take 999 calls as well
HM coastguard isn’t a military agency
